Wonderful experience

Glen is a wonderful host! The house is charming and has all the vibes of vintage New Orleans. I will definitely be back to rent out this house again. The location was perfect just a few minutes from French Quarter. The neighborhood is very cute with some beautiful vintage homes.

Great experience

My family and I stayed here during spring break. The house is small and cozy. Well stocked with necessities. The queen sized bed was very firm, too firm for my liking, and the floor/bedframe made a very loud noise when you got in and out of the bed... That is only a big deal bc I have an infant that wakes easily. The owner lives next door which made check-in a Breeze. Also the neighborhood lost power for 3 hours one night due to a downed power line. The owner was gracious enough to refund us for that night. All in all we had a good stay here and will definitely stay here again in the future

Charming Bywater House

Mr. Glens place is amazing . Perfect location. His house has everything you can think of: Cable television, WIFI, towels, toilet paper and paper towels(soap and shampoo in case you forget your own.) Free street parking in front of his house. The bed is EXTREMELY comfortable with great pillows and bed linens. This is a great neighborhood , we walked to the Quarter and back during the daytime( round trip around 3 miles). However , at night , use a ride share program. You will not regret staying at this location. Try Frady's for breakfast ( 3 blocks away) they know how to treat customers and serve some yummy food. Thanks Mr. Glen for allowing us to stay in your home. Hopefully we can come back again real soon.

Awesome place! Very clean. Safe, friendly neighborhood. Easy walk to many great places (Elizabeth’s, ABB, Frenchmen). Loved the light coming through the colored windows. Our new go to place for a stay in the Bywater!

accomidating and easy

Perfect property for our one night stay in New Orleans. We live an hour from the Big Easy and have stayed in almost every hotel in the area. This property will be our future 'go-to' for future weekends in N.O.. Glen was timely in his original response, greeted my family upon arriving, and was 100% accurate with his listing. This is my first VRBO stay and it was a seamless process. We were able to park less than 10 feet from the front door and the only thing asked of tenants is to put trash in the trash cans within the house. I could not be more pleased with process, location, price, and the owner.

A gem of a place in a lovely quiet neighborhood,

What a fabulous find this was. Located in the Bywater, a few minutes' walk from Frenchmen St. and the French Quarter, this guest house was the perfect choice for my wife an me on a weekend getaway. The neighborhood is quiet, with lots of amenities just steps from the door, and Glen couldn't have been more accommodating. Fantastic.

Cute property in a fun neighborhood!

The house was clean, comfortable, and absolutely adorable. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. I didn’t know much about the Bywater area, but it appears to be an up and coming neighborhood, and I really enjoyed walking around and enjoying the architecture. No, it’s not the Garden District, but Bywater has its own charm. I had planned on hiring Ubers to get around, but that proved to be largely unnecessary, as I was within walking distance (.8 miles) to Frenchman Street and just a bit farther to some of the other areas I visited. On-street parking was easy to find when I did drive, so no valet parking fees, which saved me about $40 per night. There are many cute shops and restaurants nearby. My favorite was Pizza Delicious, as it lived up to its name and had several yummy vegan options. All in all, it was an awesome stay!

Bywater Beauty

I stayed in a studio apartment in Bywater that was about 15 minutes from the French Quarter. My sister, niece, and I stayed for the Essence Festival. The apartment was exactly like advertised. Feel like a local

No hotel beats staying in a residential neighborhood. The accommodations are very comfortable, clean, quiet. I appreciate the listing of restaurants, went to 2 of them, had excellent meals. No trouble finding parking on the street.

Glen was awesome and accommodating. He met us when we got there, was very friendly and offered ideas on where to go. It’s a perfect place to stay away from the quarter, in a nice, quiet neighborhood with bars and restaurants within walking distance. His neighbors were very friendly too. Would definitely there stay again.
