Comfy cabin in the woods

This cabin had everything we needed. It was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The comfy couch was the perfect spot to enjoy the fireplace while watching movies. The rocking chairs on the porch was where we had coffee each morning while listening to the birds. We enjoyed coming back to this cabin to relax after long days of exploring the nearby towns.

The cabin is very cozy and clean the only problem was the wifi is very slow which caused the TV not to work

Annual girls trip

We come up once a year to clean and put flowers on our grandparents graves we really enjoyed this house it was off the beaten path and really clean and nice maybe a lil smaller than you think but was all we needed and more the kitchen is stocked well and the beds were comfy the 2 bathrooms are downstairs that’s the only thing but it’s ok we worked it driveway a lil tricky but all in all it was a great stay

NC Mountain Getaway

This fantastic little log cabin was the launching point for our family's Blue Ridge Parkway experience was and what a start it was! All the comforts of home with magnificent views of the valley and the offering of solitude while still closely connected to a major interstate highway. The cabin was clean, beds comfy, in kitchen expertly stocked. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a little time away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Family Vacation

Went to Maggie Valley and Cherokee for Santa’s land with the family and needed a cabin for a couple nights. Beautiful place. Decorated very well. Probably better for older kids due to the property on a huge mountainside and not a lot of play area. Would be excellent for a family with kids 10+ but would gladly stay there again!

Anniversary Trip

My husband and I celebrated our 47th Wedding Anniversary in this beautiful cabin. The pictures do not do this place justice. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Th property manager was very helpful. We will come back to this cabin It was convenient to Asheville and Waynesville...great towns to walk about. It would be a great place for a family with children also.

Drive a 4x4

House and view were wonderful, showers had good water pressure, beds were comfortable. We used grill once and nice to have washer and dryer. Wi-Fi was hit or miss the only con I have was the Steep driveway, description stated “if it rains may need 4x4”,you need it rain or not, maybe AWD, it’s a gravel driveway so you just slide backwards

Beware - road closed

We were not told that the main road to the cabin, White Oak Road, was closed due to bridge construction. The detour was not marked except by 2 signs that were a long way from any turns you had to make. The closure adds an additional 12 miles to and from the cabin to the highway. Seven of those miles are narrow, wooded, and hilly, 2-lane winding roads without a shoulder. Plan to arrive in the daylight (we didn't) and ask in town how to get to Grouse Nest Road. We arrived in the dark in an unfamiliar area, and didn't have any instructions on how to get to the cabin from Jonathan Creek. AAA wasn't aware of the closure either, although I'm not sure why. The next day I spoke with the foreman (woman) who was on the job and she said the work had been going on for months, and it would be several more months before it was finished. Give yourself an extra 25 minutes to get to the cabin, as well as when you make any side trips to town or anything else. The cabin itself was clean and comfortable, although we were unable to get anything on the television, and the wi-fi was spotty at best. We also couldn't get the gas fireplace to light. Lisa did offer to have someone come light it, but by then we weren't interested. Although the road closure isn't the owner's fault, we would have appreciated that information ahead of time.

Waynesville cabin

Wonderful cabin decorated beautifully and great location. Even though there were other homes around, it was very private. There was no internet service or very limited which also meant no TV, which only mattered because of a couple rainy days.

Very cozy cabin!

Enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin - secluded enough yet a short drive to surrounding attractions and towns. Cabin was well appointed and very clean.

Very Nice Cabin

The cabin was really nice. A lot of towels, etc. Nice to be able to wash the clothes and all while you're there. You do have to take your own trash out, would be nice if they had a list to where you could take it to. The drive way is really steep, we had to park at the bottom. Would be better if it could be paved ( Do not park across the road, in front of the driveway, where there is a rock turn around) the neighbors will get ahold of you. The WiFi was not good. Couldn't watch TV at night. But over all, nice place, nice cabin, nice view.

Amazing Cabin

The pictures and description do not do this place justice. It was cozy, well laid out, comfortable and well stocked with supplies. The bed in the Master Bedroom was so comfortable we are going mattress shopping. And the upstairs loft was a big hit with our kids and an all night game of Monopoly. The T.V. wasn't working very well, but that was just fine with me.

Great location, great views

Perfect spot for a getaway! Our family enjoyed the firepit and beautiful sunsets out on the porch. Cataloochee Valley to watch elk is a nice drive over from the cabin. Clean property, exactly as pictured, quick and easy check in/check out process and the owner is quick to help! We ran into road construction along our route that essentially was blocking our route in, she helped us navigate around.

Cozy Cabin

Spent 5 nights in this beautiful mountain cabin. It is remote but so peaceful and comfortable. Lisa was easy to work with & helpful with any questions. The only thing I found lacking was a blow dryer which I happen to brought with me. The town of Waynesville is the perfect base camp for seeing the Blueridge Parkway and the Smokey Mountains with great restuarants close by.
