Acadia Yurts offre aux visiteurs le moyen le plus unique de séjourner sur l'île Mount Desert. Sept yourtes amusantes et respectueuses de l'environnement et deux petites maisons vous rapprocheront de la nature comme du camping, avec toutes les commodités de la maison. Situé sur 5 acres de terres boisées charmantes, entouré par la propriété du parc national Acadia, les yourtes Acadia offrent une retraite paisible pour votre groupe (jusqu'à 4 personnes par yourte 24 ', 6 personnes pour la yourte 30' ou 2 personnes par Tiny House). Les yourtes Acadia sont également idéales pour les grands groupes voyageant avec un hébergement pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 34 personnes sur 1 site.

Une yourte est une structure de tissu circulaire en forme de tente avec un cadre en treillis en bois originaire des tribus nomades d'Asie. Ces structures permanentes et colorées ont des murs extérieurs en toile épaisse qui incluent une isolation réfléchissante et une pompe à chaleur / AC haute efficacité afin que vous puissiez être à l'aise en toute saison. Les yourtes deviennent rapidement une nouvelle expérience de vacances que les vacanciers apprécient à travers les États-Unis, des vues sur les falaises en Californie aux chalets de ski dans le Colorado. Wonderful Experience

The property was exactly as described, but was more spacious than I was actually expecting. I had never been to Acadia before and when I was unable to get a park pass at one of the service locations (off season) I was able to purchase it online and the owners were nice enough to print me a copy to display on my car dashboard

Perfect Place to Stay

Excellent lodging- would book again in a heartbeat!

Yurt felt like a cozy luxe home for the week. Spotless, roomy, everything you need for your Maine adventure week. Slept 4 of us comfortably with room for cooking simple dinners, playing board games, lounging. We have absolutely no complaints- its perfect!

Great vacation!

Our yurt was a great home base for our family to explore Acadia and MDI! It had everything we needed and we appreciated the amenities after long days spent exploring the park. Aaron and a Karen were great hosts and everything was as advertised. We definitely look forward to coming back in the future!

Very comfortable, quiet, and private stay in Acadia

I stayed in the Norembega Acadia Yurt with a party of 4 (including myself) and it was very comfortable and spacious. There was lots of attention to detail: eye masks, dehumidifier, towels, fans, luggage racks, mini salt/pepper shakers, high quality pots/pans, small food storage containers provided. We really appreciated the shower's water pressure and speedy temperature changing mechanism. When checking out, leave lots of time for the check-out procedures. I had never stayed in a place before that asked us to not only run the dishwasher, but also dry and replace the dishes. I wished we did not have to do this extra chore. We also wish the bedroom closet area had more light as it was difficult to see our stuff. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this yurt and would book again.

Amazing week at Acadia Yurts

Love Acadia Yurts! Glamping at its finest. The size of the yurt was amazing for a family of 4 adults. We could spread out and take space as needed. The grill outside was a nice added feature. Communication with the owners was great and we felt so welcomed. Great base camp for hiking, eating lobster and enjoying the hidden gems of MDI. Thank you for a perfect stay. Will stay again very soon.

Great stay on the quiet side of MDI

We had a great stay at Acadia Yurts! Kids enjoyed the loft and parents enjoyed the space of the larger yurt. Karen and Aaron are great hosts; always responsive and helpful. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great experience near Acadia National Park!

Perfect Acadia Location

The yurt, in addition to just being fun, was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The location was 30 minutes or less to everything on Mount Desert Island, but much quieter than the east side. Can't recommend enough and will certainly be back next time we're visiting Acadia!

Awesome and unique place to stay!

We absolutely loved the yurt. It was so clean and had everything! The french press was a nice surprise and it was the best coffee we ever had! The owners were very quick to respond to texts. While hiking on a mountain, I texted them to leave some quarters in our yurt so i could catch up on some laundry. I also purchased a some of their coffee as a surprise for my family and they hid it in a bag and put it in a special place for me :) Looooved everything about this place! Thanks Karen and Aaron.

Wonderful Experience

We would highly recommend staying at Acadia Yurts when visiting Bar Harbor/Acadia. The property was exactly as described and pictured. The Yurt had everything we needed to make our stay cozy. We visited in October and although the nights were chilly the heaters were phenomenal and we were completely comfortable throughout our stay. Aaron and Karen are excellent hosts - checking in on us, making sure we had everything we needed and sending prompt updates regarding the property. This is one of the best places we have ever stayed.

The yurt felt warm and inviting for our fall getaway. The kitchen was adequately stocked with cookware and the couple of things we thought were missed were found available in the laundry barn.

Yurts are amazing!

We experienced glamping for the first time and are sold! Comfortably close to nature is a perfect description. Great location. The wellness center was a wonderful fringe benefit. We took two yoga classes.

Magical and cozy

We just loved this adorable little yurt village. A magical little paradise separate from the hustle and bustle of the more heavily populated parts of the area. Perfect location with close access to some of the best parts of Acadia. Already recommending it to our friends. We loved every minute!

Luxury in the woods

Property was exactly as described. We had an incredible stay. I am not a "camper" so slightly nervous before arrival but this was honestly much larger and much more comfortable than the beach condo we usually rent. Highly recommend!

Great vacation, easy logistics, easy communication, peaceful, sauna is relaxing. Exactly what the listing states. Bring camping chairs for outdoor time at the yurt. Deer every day, eagles, & turkey. Plan on returning. No tv was wonderful. Very clean, bathroom is spacious with solid water pressure. Kitchen perfect. Grocery store around the corner. Coffee shop at the corner is a must. A++

I am now a yurt-er

Never again will I sleep on the ground. From now on - only yurts. What an amazing facility!! All of the comforts of home coupled with the joys of the outdoors. We were amazed at how identical the yurt is to the pictures. Amazing facility and we are planning our return already!!

Amazing stay at Acadia Yurts

After looking at other glamping experiences and VRBO properties, we chose Acadia Yurts as it was the perfect combination of both options. We loved being on the quite side of the island, and the smaller, more intimate feel of the property. Karen and Aaron were very responsive to questions, and our stay at the yurt went perfectly. We stayed in the larger yurt (for a family of four) - our kids loved having their own space upstairs although it was not really necessary - there is a lot of room in those yurts! Access to laundry and community items was a huge plus. Thank you to Acadia Yurts for an amazing stay on MDI!

First- time “Yurtee”

Amazing stay at Acadia Yurts. If you are looking for the quiet relaxation of camping, but want a bit of “glamping” instead- consider staying here. Very clean, quiet, quaint and comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will return. Enjoy the experience of touring the bustling area and return to the serenity of yurt living. We will return!

Vous êtes reçu par Karen Roper

Aaron is an Maine native. He was born and raised across the bridge in Trenton and grew up attending local Bar Harbor schools. He has worked in the restaurant industry for the past 15+ years beginning as a prep cook in high school then moving toward general manager. Aaron's favorite extracurricular activity is learning all he can about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As often as he can, he trains locally and loves sharing this passion with others.

Karen is a transplant. Originally from Chicago she made her way to Maine in 2009 and fell in love immediately. In Acadia she enjoys hiking, trail running, yoga, and long walks on the carriage roads. Karen has been teaching yoga locally for over 6 years and now brings her practice to the Wellness Center (located on site at Acadia Yurts). Karen is also a licensed massage therapist and offers services onsite.

As a couple we have done quite a bit of traveling and through that we have narrowed down the particular way we like to travel. The biggest factor for us is having a furnished kitchen in order to prepare health minded foods to nourish our bodies and support all our outdoor activities. The idea for Acadia Yurts has been brewing for quite some time. Friends of ours live off the grid in a yurt and we greatly appreciate the rustic, romantic feel of the yurt but wanted some of the comforts of home- running water, heat, electricity. From there Acadia Yurts was born. We deeply hope you enjoy our home as much as we do!!
