Relaxing getaway
This location is unbeatable for the ease of walking to the beach and nearby restaurants, as well as being centrally located, making it easy to get to the north, south, or west sides of the island. The air conditioning units made a big difference in the comfort of our stay.

Clean.Close to everything (grocery, restaurants, etc) Walkable to nice beach, less than 10 minutes. The 2nd bedroom is a bit tight but comfortable. The only thing missing were wine glasses and wine opener otherwise fully equipped.

Good property and great location
My friend and I enjoyed staying at the Banyon Harbor Resort. It was a great central location. Easy to get to everything. We liked that there AC in all the rooms, a balcony and beach supplies such as chairs, an umbrella and a cooler. It was decorated nicely and had most of the essentials needed. The master bedroom was great though the second bedroom was more like a loft and quite small. There was a conveniently located covered parking spot though you do have to climb several flights of stairs. Overall, for the price and location, I would stay here again.

The condo had some updates, nice counter tops and flooring. It does show it's age in other areas. Partially painted walls near the washer/dryer and older cabinets in the bathroom. Everything worked great. Fully functioning kitchen. Plenty of room for 4-6 folks. This was our third time staying at Banyan Harbor and we'll be back.

Kauai Family Vacation
Our family of 8 plus two friends stayed in two separate units that were very close to one another - it worked great! The property is very conveniently located to airport, shopping and attractions. Beautiful beach right across the street. Loved having in unit washer and dryer. Kitchen is small but nice. The unit we stayed in had all bedrooms up stairs. The other unit had all rooms on one level. You could actually see the ocean over the roof top from our balcony and bedroom windows. Nice beach amenities including chairs and umbrella. Worked great for our group!

We needed to rent a condo for 11 days while we remodeled parts of our home. The unit we had was amazing. It was very spacious. We had one small issue and we emailed the management company. That same day hey had maintenance address the problem. We highly recommend using Garden Island Properties for your next vacation or for your short term needs such as ours.

The unit is clean and very comfortable, has AC for when it gets hot, but theres a decent breeze. The backside of the unit runs up against a forest area which almost makes it feel like you're in the mountains. Its walking distance from Kalapaki Beach where Dukes restaurant is which is awesome. Pretty central on the island, so its only about 25min to go to poipu beach, about 40min to the west side of the island, or about an hour to go to the north shore. AND its like 5min to costco and the mall. We did a lot of exploring and it was great to come back to the rental for a nice hot shower and relaxing evening. I will be coming back again soon for sure!

The Banyan Harbor Resort is in a prime location, being approximately 2.2 miles from the Lihue Airport, walking distance to the Nawiliwili coast line, and minutes away from popular eatery such as Dukes Kauai. The two bedroom, one and half bath unit is spacious. Amenities include washer, dryer, and a full kitchen. The pool is located on an overlook position with a scenic, unobstructed view of the Nawiliwili coast line, ocean. The pool deck is large, with ample amount of lounge chairs for sunbathing and a roomy area for a potluck style gathering. My stay at the Banyan was very enjoyable, relaxing, quiet and safe. I highly recommend the Banyan to anyone seeking lodging accommodations on east Kauai.

We stayed 8 nights in Banyan Harbor resort F71 top floor and it was a nice stay. This unit is equipped with A/C in each room (worked fine), it has 4 beach chairs with umbrella (was very helpful for us), laundry and kitchen. They communicate with you timely and well. All staff in resort is helpful and friendly. We were on top floor and stairs pretty steep (they don’t have an elevator). If you have a poor health it might be hard to lift your baggage up there. All rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. There are lots of food places around. Overall it was fine, kind of what we expected; nothing fancy, but you got what you need for your vacation.

I rented this property for two older ladies coming for a special event. They stayed four days and visited the island too. The property company was so nice and easy to work with, the room was updated with a new kitchen and bathrooms, air-conditioners in every room and comfortable beds and couches. There was a beautiful Mountain View also. A covered parking stall was available for our unit. It was on the 3rd floor though, and the steps were a bit steep. There was fire a few doors down, but all was resolved and able to go back to room. Property company were very helpful after hours. The price for the size of the apartment was amazing. Overall it was a great stay and nice place to relax.

Pleasantly surprised in every way

We came as a trio needing a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom location. Based on the pictures, everything looked fine, but nothing special. We were surprised to find it much more updated than we expected by the pictures. The couch and beds were comfortable and had very soft sheets. The air conditioning was excellent in all parts of the house. What set this rental apart from most was the random thoughtful things included. We didn't realize it came with 4 beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a regular umbrella (we found out it rains a ton in Kauai), two pairs of flippers, and a full laundry set with the detergent included. It was also great to stay in Lihue, as we felt we could go to the north side or the south side at ease, not the mention some of the best food itself in Lihue. The beach near the apartment is super easy to get to, and we took advantage of that opportunity. There are also several great food options near the apartment. Finally, the covered parking was a lifesaver when it was raining hard. Would highly recommend this location and will consider coming here again in the future.

A bit dated.
The downstairs bathroom was a tight fit. You’ll hit your funny bone and knock off the toilet paper roll every time you use it. It felt very cramped for an adult. The upstairs bathroom was ok, the toilet is tiny and uncomfortable to sit on. The dining furniture is not very comfortable. The table chairs hurt your back when sitting in them for more than a few minutes and felt flimsy. The couch is a pull out couch and loud and creeky which sucks for the people staying below you. I’d avoid using it completely if you decide to stay here. But the couch being the pull out couch it is also very uncomfortable to sit on or lay down on, both pulled out and put together as a couch.
The stairs inside the unit are scary. There is a light but if you keep it on it’s pretty bright and the first smaller bedroom doesn’t have a full wall. Like the wall where the door is doesn’t go all the way to the ceiling so if the stairs light is on, they will get light into their room. There is also a nail sticking out on the stairs wall that will catch your shirts and arms if you are not careful. It’s painted over the same color as the wall so it’s hard to see, can be painful and paired with the darkness of the stairwell it’s not a good combo.
The smaller bedroom was tiny, a queen bed with two night stands, and a small closet to keep a bag but no dresser to put your cloths in. And again the wall did t go all the way to the ceiling so no sound privacy and not even a lock on the door.
