We celebrated my husband 40th there was about a total of 50 of us who started at multiple condos throughout resort! Penthouse was amazing! Private and beautiful views
We loved everything about this place and the pictures simply do not do it justice!
Grab your family or friends and book this place immediately. Everything is as described and I would rate this home 10 stars if I could.
The only negative (and this is not a big deal) is that the elevator opens to the unit and there are only two keys. If you are traveling with a larger group you will need to pass key back and forth as you come and go.
We loved our stay and would absolutely return!
This stay was worth every penny! Gorgeous space inside and out. The owner was responsive and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable. We had some difficulty with the elevators, but that was no fault of the unit. We look forward to another opportunity to stay here!
This penthouse is huge! Amazing views and the outdoor area is just perfect. Could use some work. Grill is dirty and needs fixing, some beds were not comfortable, wine fridge was not working and some tvs were not working. Overall 5/5 with some minor improvements needed.
Maintenance was great needed to call a few times.
Washer/dryer did not work
Murpheys bed was broke (1)
Fridge needed to be repaired a few times
Disposal smelled as well as the showers
Let me start out by saying the positive attributes to this property. The view is one of the best that I have seen at the property. This is the first time that we did not leave the rooftop during the day to go down to the pool because the view and the furniture were ideal for laying out and visiting with friends.We go to Rocky point for spring break every year with multiple families. Great memories were made at this property too. The property owner addressed as many issues as she could but the property was not cleaned well, the TV was broken on our arrival, grill didnât work, wine fridge did not work, dishwasher was not attached properly, the fridge was not cooling properly and previous guests clothing were under the couch and stuck in the closet. The property is decorated beautifully but it could need a walk through for some of the wear and tear items. The hotel cleaning crew and front desk staff were not on their game. Not all of the issues were due to the owner but lies more with Las Palomas staff. Check in got pushed from 4:00 to 7:00!!
We paid to much for what we got. To many issues on the property. We have to report lots of damages, the jacuzzi in the the second suite was not working. The jacuzzi outside was not for use at all. The small bedroom had awfull smell coming from the bathroom. The TV inthe small room was not working the first day we arrived. No door in the restrooms we were not told about it very uncomfortable. The barbeque grill almost exploted on the guy maintance while he repaired for us to use it. Reception told us we need to pay for the gas in order to use the grill, fortunate they agree we didn't have too. We were unable to see the sunset from the top, there were buildings nfront of the property. Is advertise you can see the sunset from the top view. Reception was very rude. On our way out we expressed our concerns, the fribt desk supervisor tokd us if we were looking to be compensated it was happenning. We felt insulted we were just letting them know what was the issues. Unfortunate it w
asn't what we expected.
Beautiful views and a fun place to stay with a large group. The resort was also very nice.
We went with 4 couples in early Nov. 2017 to stay in this Penthouse for just 3 nights. Our prior communication with the owner of this property went well and she seemed available for our questions. None of us had stayed at this resort before and only a few of us had been to Puerto Penasco before.
When we arrived that day it is slow season at the resort so check in went smoothly and didn't take very long. One thing to mention is the confusion about needing a special elevator key to get to this unit up on the 12th floor. This key issue has been mentioned on past reviews and the owner had confirmed that we would need a special key to get up to our PH unit. When we checked in at the front desk the person helping us also said we needed this key for the elevator. It has been stated by everyone, don't lose one of these keys are in will be $125 to replace. The big problem we had is that they only had 2 keys available for our whole group (4 couples), that was going to be a hassle if we were going to come back at different times. We were very concerned.
When we finally found the correct elevator, there wasn't a place to insert this key to get you to the 12th floor? Once again we didn't know if we were in the right elevator? We finally found someone that worked there (that spoke English) and they informed us that you don't need the key at all, there is now a 12th floor button that you just push like the rest of the buttons. All we just needed was a normal "plastic key card" to open up the entry door to the PH. You have to wonder why NO ONE seems to know about this change?? Especially the staff at the front desk, or the owner? Wish we would have known that.
The unit is very spacious and worked out great for 4 couples, it has plenty of room for several more. Each couple had a nice sized room with a master suite style bathroom, with a walk-in shower and 2 sinks in each. Plus some access to patio space outside.
It is very modern and somewhat simple in it's decorating. The massive sliding doors to the outside deck were wonderful. A major plus to this condo is the being on the top floor and having tons of outdoor space with beautiful views of the ocean and beach.
A few things we wished were available (for us to give it 5 Stars); The large outdoor hot tub didn't work, the outdoor fireplace isn't plumbed, it needs a shade umbrella for the sun and way to access our music into the main central sound system. The outside is ready for new paint.
The unit was nice and spacious and the patio is outstanding, however, due to the high volume of occupancy it's showing a lot of wear and tear that maybe the owner isn't aware of. The refrigerator leaks water and we lost power in the entire unit one day. Maintenance had to be called 3 times to respond.
Room was great, had some complications with the AC units. The living/ kitchen-room was so hot the first day, they fixed the breaker. The last night, one of the bedroomS were so hot. Had to call maintenance again, and again. One guy showed up but never came back. Didnât fix the issue or tell us what was going on. He went to check the condenser and never came back. The Same day, called for extra towels that never showed up. Very poor communication and follow through from the guest relations side.

The only thing that we didn't was the check-in process. It was really slow and it took awhile waiting in line. Also on Phase 1 we couldn't tell where the check in was, so that really confused us. The next thing is that we traveld from Texas which was a 17 hour drive and the day we left nobody was at the check in. A really nice security guy instructed me to go to Phase 2 since they are open really early. So the check-in and check-out process was only my issue and hopefully with Phase 3 opening soon that won't be an issue. We will definitely go again when Phase 3 opens up.
This penthouse was everything we could ask for and more. The pictures does no justice (as I thought maybe the furniture and kitchen would be out dated) for this place the owner should post a video.
My guest were so happy when they saw the penthouse for the 1st time as I never told them or showed them where we would be staying. Each room had something awesome to offer, we didn't want to leave.
The only hip-cup we had were:
1. we weren't allowed to grill on the patio and that was a privacy i expected to have.
3. We also couldn't access the jacuzziâs or the fire pits and couldn't talk above a whisper on the patio pass 10pm.
The patio is the best feature. You for sure want to be out doors pass 10pm without complaints as adults in our 40âs and 50âs⊠We are on vacation! I would definitely stay here again!
We enjoy RP several times each year. This is the 3rd or 4th time we have rented this unit. We weRe surprised to learn that the TV in the living room has been struck by something and the entire screen was cracked. I contacted the owner and the TV was replaced the following day, so that was very nice. My only complaint is the owner insisted that we were responsible for a small piece of molding that was hanging from one of the Murphy beds. We didnât notice it until our last day because itâs about 9 feet from the floor but I am 100% that this occurred prior to us renting the unit. Also be aware that there is a hot tub, but itâs inoperable.
