Close to the beach! Water view, pet friendly! - Nautical Nonsense

Nautical Nonsense is a 4/3 beach house just 0.3 miles from the gulf beach by foot. The home is in a great location and very quaint for the perfect relaxing beach vacation. The property is pet-friendly (2 pet maximum limit), with hard floors and sleeping for 8. The back deck is available for the salt air, bird watching and listening to the ocean. It includes office space and a kids hangout TV space. More importantly, is it on Dauphin Island and a short walk to the beach! You will have plenty of parking and if you would prefer to drive to a beach, we will provide you free parking passes. Come make some memories at Nautical Nonsense!

As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!

Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is pet-friendly, dogs only, 2-Pet Maximum Limit - $100 pet fee per dog applies.

We were very impressed with the house we stayed in. It was well kept, had all the necessities of home and was very convenient to the beach and restaurants. There were 8 adults and we all had plenty of space to gather or get some me time.We would definitely stay here again if we visit Dauphin Island.

Quaint, cute beach house

Nice size house for our family of 5, and a great, easy walk to the beach.The only thing I might suggest, is to have window treatments for the windows in the bedrooms upstairs.

Great rental, walking distance to beach. Kitchen was well stocked. The only negative is charcoal grill on deck probably should be replaced. Looking forward to next year!

Good place if you have asthma

Having recently been diagnosed with asthma, I appreciate so much when a VRBO doesn't rely on fragrance to make the house smell clean. This VRBO smelled clean without being fragrances. It was spacious and our extended family fit comfortably. Shirt walk to the beach. It might be difficult crossing main road at the height of the season but for us it was perfect.

Weekend getaway

Overall experience was good The house is very cute. From the outside it looked like it was going to be small but with everyone in The house it did not feel crowded The walk to the beach was not bad even with very small kids The beds were not the most comfortable but also not the worst I have ever had everyone slept good . The beach that was in walking distance was not overly crowded. And the restaurants near by were good Ve had a very good time on our vacation

a great family vacation with the dogs included

We loved the location, could see the water from front deck. very clean and stocked with everything we needed. a short walk to the beach and enjoyed going on walks with our dogs in neighborhood. Daughter loved the hammock below house. I would have liked to have had thicker curtains in master bedroom since I could see all headlights at night while sleeping. Front door did not lock. Bolt did not catch even in trying code throughout week. That may need to be addressed for future tenants. we felt safe either way. Loved our frist trip to Dauphin Island and we will return again.

Easy living for the 4th

We enjoyed our stay. Easy walk to the beach. Enjoyed the outside shower and had water sources at front/back doors. We spent many evening on back deck with dinner. It was a nice treat. Only things lacking is better AC upstairs. You really needed a window unit in both upstairs bedrooms. We weren't able to enjoy the upstairs until after dark. The kitchen was lacking a few things but we managed fine. Lastly, The grass was definitely in need of a mow and both doors had issues locking. One time took 5 minutes to get the automatic lock to properly lock.

Hi Christin, we are so happy you enjoyed Nautical Nonsense. It has been extremely hot this summer, so many properties have been a little warmer than we wanted. The grass has been taken care of, and we apologize that it was not completed before your arrival. We had a horrible amount of rain, which delayed the landscaper. Hope you get back to the island soon!

Comfortable with deco access to beach

House was very comfortable, not fussy, with the necessary essentials. Walk to the beach would require going out the front and around the block, but we noticed a more direct cut through at the back of the house. Not sure if the back yard neighbors would complain when using it. We chose to drive to the nearby public access beach so we didn’t have to drag everything. Nice bedrooms and the house lives larger than it looks. Double sink in the kitchen would be more appropriate and stove and dishwasher doors block each other. Very small master bathroom. Thought the property was a good value considering inflated pricing nationwide. Plus’ outweigh the minus’ and I would not hesitate renting it again.
