great location and easy access to beach, restaurants, etc. We weren't in room much and it was what we needed, could use updated linens and window coverings in main area.
We got this place at a reduced price, so we weren't being too particular. Location was great. Happy that the unit provided a wagon/cooler as that was a must for the long walk to the beach. Easy communication, quiet building, friendly staff. The issues: the check in process isn't terrible but its not convenient since keys must be picked up/dropped off off-site. Upon arrival unit seemed clean but smelled extremely stale. The beach towels washed & left in the linen closet by previous guests smelled of fresh laundry detergent, but all linens and towels set out for our use smelled as stale as the unit, not freshly laundered. 2nd bedroom pillow cases appeared clean, but pillows themselves smelled like dirty scalp & need replacing. Some dishes in cabinet were dirty. Hodgepodge of kitchen utensils/cookwear but sufficient. Both can openers & one toaster was broken. Furniture on open balcony safety concern. Biggest complaint is that fridge is old & did not work properly. It needs replacing not repaired so calling wouldn't help. Most of our food spoiled & melted. After the 3rd gallon of milk went bad we began sticking it in the freezer to keep it at "fridge" temperature. Lastly, the AC was to be kept at 72° which was fine in the main living spaces but the airflow to the bedrooms is very poor so if you're a hot sleeper, this is miserable. I can't imagine if it had been summer. Some of the main comforts you're paying for & therefore expecting need fixed/replaced before we would stay again
The property well maintained. Their pool is awesome, like new. Could get better lounger chairs around it, they're weathered. The rental bikes and golf carts can get very pricey if staying for several days, perhaps it's better to rent a car to get around the island.
The condo itself is what we have expected, the owner's description of the unit was right on target.
The laundry room is on each floor, clean, never busy. However, the washers/ dryers could be upgraded, they barely fit a few of the beach towels.
The beach is a bit of walk from the tower 4, but it was not an issue, we didn't have any little babies/kids staying with us.
There were two maintenance visits ( for a water tower and bug exterminator) to the codos but the residents were notified a couple of days in advance, so it didn't interfere with their activities.
The grounds are beautifully maintained, however we got badly bit by mosquitoes and tiny flies/mites when outdoors- around the pool or picnic areas. The Bug spray did not help much.
During our stay the hurricane swept over the shore but it passed quickly, didn't damage anything around the complex and didn't spoil our stay.
Over all, we greatly appreciate the opportunity of renting the condo, and have we enjoyed our visit to Marco Island. I would highly recommend renting this unit for the beach vacation.
The condo was spacious and very clean & well equity with necessities of home. The wagon to take to the beach was great. Having the beach chairs was also a nice touch. However the beach chairs should be inspected. They were old and most of them were broke. So maybe they could be updated periodically
The condo was as advertised. It had what we needed. We enjoyed the view of the ocean and the sunset from the balcony. It was convenient to food and fun. The beach was very nice. I was glad they had beach chairs and a wagon. Be prepared for a hike from the condo to the waterfront because the beach is very deep. We had a nice time.
My teen boys and I had a magical stay! we have traveled to the Everglades area for many years and this was our first time on Marco Island. We will definitely be back! This condo was all that we needed, and was larger than I expected! I like that we had our own bathrooms and a separate area as our bedrooms. We don't watch a lot of TV, but if you do, we did have difficulty trying to set up the Living Room TV. We didn't end up notifying anyone as we really weren't that interested. The view form this room is over a parking lot, but also over the beach! Beautiful sunsets! We loved the pool and easy access to Tigertail beach. Great restaurants are close by, and if you are like us and cook a lot of your own food, there is a Publix also nearby. I also loved that this is a gated area, not that I ever felt unsafe at anytime. The decor of the condo is slightly dated, but I wasn't there for the room. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were great! We are already planning to return next year!
