Beautiful Yard, No TV

We stayed here in early April 2023. The weather was very nice. The house is very clean and well appointed. The kitchen has modern appliances and is well-equipped to prepare meals. The master bedroom looks out onto the pool and has a private bathroom. The bed in master is a memory foam mattress that is pretty firm (especially for those used to a hotel-type spring bed). The second bedroom is adjacent, just up the hallway. It has a older spring mattress that is a bit soft. And maybe I sound a little like "Goldie Locks" but sleep is important and these rooms could use a modern, medium firm spring mattress in both rooms. The living is well-furnished but has NO TV. It's marketed as having a Smart TV but it is so dated, it is not bluetooth or WiFi capable. And there are NO local major channels. So, if you want to see the Olympics, NBA playoffs, NCAA Final Four, Days of Our Lives, etc. You'd better bring a laptop with your own streaming/TV service. You can use one of the HDMI cables attached to a very dated Apple TV box. This was a pretty big disappointment. On the bright side ... and probably the best part of the property is the backyard. It is expansive and beautiful, covered end to end with more than a dozen different kinds of flowering bushes and plants, along with an Orange and Meyer's Lemon (?) tree. It was fragrant. It also has a covered, shade table and chairs. It was in the 80's when we were there and sitting outside was very nice. Taking a walk in the neighborhood is good too. Quiet, safe and a large park near by. Going out into the surrounding areas (community), Glendale... was a little sketchy. Not exactly the best Phoenix has to offer ... although there is an Albertson's and Starbucks nearby. Pretty convenient. Scottsdale is a bit of drive ... well, so is just about anywhere else. We rented some road bicycles (Exhale Bikes) and drove north a couple of mornings to get in a 40 and 35 mile ride. All in all ... the house served its purpose. Good value ... just that TV thing ... yikes.

Very nice backyard

It is a really nice property. Nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The pool/backyard is very pretty. Please note that the pool is not heated (and was cold in April - even though the temps were in the 80-90's). Could have used a little more attention to cleaning prior to our arrival. I cleaned the fridge and outdoor table prior to using it. The garbage pick-up was missed and the large outside dispenser was overflowing upon our arrival.

Perfect location in Phoenix for hiking.

Beautiful home; well stocked with everything you would need in the kitchen and bathrooms (toilet paper, Kleenex, lotions, shampoo). Our family of 6 had plenty of room. Backyard was very large with a decent size pool. However, check in and check out procedures were poorly managed. We were told via an email that we would be sent a code for the key pad; we never received a code and I had to call a number that was provided and had to leave a message (the key pad was broken). Someone did call me back approximately 10 minutes later and provided a code for a lock box. When I told her I had never received a code via email, she told me it must have gone to Spam (it hadn’t). Before we checked out, I texted the contact more than 24 hours prior regarding what to do with the key since the lock box wouldn’t work and I never got a response. Despite the problems with the check in/out process, we did have a wonderful time.

Nice stay

We enjoyed our stay at this house. Property was tucked off the main drag in a nice neighborhood. Pool was not heated so very cold but was a beautiful pool and yard area to hang out in, very private. House was a little dark due to lack of windows but was clean and spacious. As mentioned in their house description there are many trip hazards if traveling with gramma this is a concern. Overall it is a nice comfortable rental.
