Great Place For Family!

Great property! The host was very responsive and helpful! The steps were a bit steep and tough for my 72 year old father, however we knew this would be challenging for him prior to booking. The home was very accommodating and fit all of our needs!!

Great place to stay

Our host was very accommodating my sisters birthday was the day we arrived and they were able to decorate the house and ordered a cake for me. Beautiful view great location only thing I would say is they need to update the furniture and the flooring. Other than that it was great.

Family Beach Getaway

Great property! The listing stated 3.5 bathrooms, we were elated to find 4.5 bathrooms! We had our extended family of 12 in the house, it was great. We had 2 minor issues and both were immediately resolved with a text. There are many stairs so be prepared for a leg workout. The whole family said the pictures online don’t do it justice, the pool was great, bigger than expected!

This home would have been perfect except the public beach access is directly beside the house and the beach is very crowded here. Otherwise I wouldn’t change anything.

Beach House

The house was the perfect size for our family. The pool was great. House could have been cleaner. The door handle on the top floor back door needs replaced. It is very hard to open/close. Could not even tighten the screws, they are stripped. Overall, we had a great week and enjoyed Holden Beach.

2024 Beach Vacation

Overall the house was a great beach house. The house had plenty of room. The only major issue was the upstairs AC unit did not work very well. By Thursday the temperature upstairs was staying at 80 degrees. The public access beside the house was not an issue as long as we put our chairs out on the beach by 7am. The house was clean and the pool was amazing.

Good House

Overall a good house. Functional, great ocean and beach views. I wouldn't say it's luxurious, but gets the job done for a great beach vacation. Good value. However, the stairs are bonkers. Very high risers, shallow treads, little nosing. This is coming from a very fit 40 something guy. If you are considering vacationing with people with limited mobility, maybe look elsewhere. Odd to make comments about stairs? Yes, they are that crazy. If mobility isn't an issue, rent this house, you'll be happy.

Great property!

We visited this property at the end of May, and had a great time! The location right on the beach was so convenient for our family with three kids. The house was comfortable and overall felt clean. (There was one rug and couch on the first floor that has seen better days.) The cookware needs to be updated as a lot of the pots and pans were very worn and scratched. The pool was much larger than I expected! You should be aware that it is not heated, but I’m sure that wouldn’t be an issue in the heat of the summer. Overall, we would stay here again!

Almost perfect

The location is perfect. Ants were inside but quickly eradicated. Our biggest concern was the steep stairs getting into the house. I was terrified my husband would fall.

Great Location

This property is a great location to the beach. We were very pleased with the layout of this house. It has an awesome pool and more bathrooms then we expected. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of this property. Kitchen was very dirty. Dishes were put away dirty and very unorganized. Once we cleaned we loved it. It was perfect for our family of 14.

Great location and pool!

The pool is huge and was one of the highlights of our trip! The beach was so nice. We found shells and shark teeth daily. The house has lots of stairs so get ready for a leg workout. Stairs from the parking area are steep and narrow. The house could use a second refrigerator. The bunk beds really need to be replaced. The ladder was coming loose and the bottom step was broken. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Definitely things need to be addressed

The first issue we had was on the way down I called for the entrance code ans the onsite personnel said " oh no i have you down for coming tomorrow " I made sure on my contract that I had the right dates so we had to wait in order to come in and even at that things were still wet from the hurried cleaning. There are multiple spots on the main level that are severely water damaged and the floor is giving way. Outside we could only feel 2 or 3 places with this same issue. There were roaches throughout and no pool furniture. The deadbolt /electroic lock didn't work while we were there but was simply told " oh its ok no one will come in and steal your stuff" - uhh thanks I guess. The bedroom doors either don't close shut or close too tight. One of our guest were completely stuck inside her room and we had to break the door molding to get her out. The owners or property management should have made repairs before listing this home for rent.

I am very surprised at the conditions of the listed property. There are many weak areas in the floor boards on the main and top level, many outdated appliances, and bugs! Most places have a pack and play for travel with young children, who can’t sleep in a bed or on a bunk bed, there was not one available. I realized that the spa was not heated after booking; let’s be honest, a spa that’s not heated is just a small pool attached to a big pool. The location was great but the overall condition and upkeep of the house was disappointing.
