Beautiful Lake

Nice cabin with great views of the lake. Enjoyed kayaks provided and the deck area. Well decorated and comfortable.

Just what you want.

The place is amazing. it has everything you need. Really enjoyed the fire pit right on the water. Deck view was very nice. enough seats for everyone! Long dock to enjoy the lake and the stars at night.

Great little place.

This was a great cozy place. We were here for 12 day and loved it. The lake is superb and floated with tasty beverage several days. Pros: location, lake, surroundings. Cons: steps, cutlery (or lack there of), water pressure, kitchen equipment. Still a great little place to get away.

So cute!

The cottage was so cute and comfortable. A nice, quiet, extremely clean place to retreat and relax. The only negative was the stairs you have to use to unpack and pack. That was a lot, but worth it.

Great place

Being by the lake was really relaxing. The only complaints were the bed and water pressure. The bed was not comfortable at all which should be number one when you go away to relax. Other than that it was great.

A dream location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This cottage perfect for two people. The location has all the amenities you could ask for. Climbing up and down the 43 steps to cottage can be tiring especially for the elderly. There is Liquer store very close buy and grocery store within 5 miles. I must say that prices there very high, but in no way does that reflect on owner. We certainly are looking forward to coming back for another stay.

Wonderful

The cottage was everything depicted. Lovely spot on the lake and well equipped with everything you need. As depicted, the exterior steps are formidable, yet I use a cane and was able to manage the 40+ steps slowly and with caution. The large deck has gates at both entries which enabled our dogs to spend time outdoors without fear of their escape.

Snow nightmare

We arrived at the VRBO after a snow storm, which we were concerned about. We arrived after a long drive and couldn’t figure out where to park, because the driveway and the long winding staircase down to the cottage had not been plowed or shoveled. We had to park our car in 5 inches of snow and then walk in very dangerous snow/ice conditions to the cottage (in the dark). The place itself was very nice but we were very disappointed with how the snow was managed and it was honestly dangerous. Either me or my spouse could have fallen down the steps and injured ourselves.

Perfect get away

We loved, loved, loved this place. The pictures don't really do it justice. It was very peaceful which we needed. We were there in the fall. It is not listed as a fully stocked kitchen but we felt it was adequate and we cooked some meals there. The bed was comfortable. And Adam who answered any of our questions was very helpful. We have no complaints. Well, we didn't love all the stairs but it was worth it. We are in our 60's and have some physical limitations but we managed.

Cute little cabin on a enchanting lake

We spent the weekend here visiting our kids who attend UConn. The cabin was small but quaint and had everything you need for relaxation and meals at home. Short drive to grocery, restaurants and some fantastic fall hiking. Would stay here again - could see it being pretty and enjoyable in any season.

Relaxing little cottage that doesn’t feel so little

The cottage at Coventry lake was almost perfect. The house was very well equipped, clean, quaint with tons of outdoor space to enjoy the lake. Lots of hiking opportunities in the area which was great for us. The only reason I didn’t give full 5 stars is because of the stairs. They aren’t bad when coming and going but for checking in with all your bags and checking out, all those stairs become a mountain to climb. There is a driveway that does go down to the house but you are not allowed to use it. So pack light and you should be fine.

Stress Free Weekend Away

The perfect place to getaway and check out of the hustle and bustle of life. This cozy cottage was lakehouse meets farmhouse. So clean, great decor, spacious deck and right on the lake. Days spent napping, kayaking and just relaxing with a drink in hand. Highly recommended for a couples retreat.

Cute and peaceful place

We loved our experience at this cottage. It’s adorable, cozy, and clean. The location is great; right on the lake. We’d love to stay again. The only “issue” was the large cement hump pulling the parking area. I’d recommend taking a truck/suv so it doesn’t potentially damage your car. Not sure if that was due to the winter months and it’s smoother in the summer.

It sucked not having the hot tub working but it was way too cold out for it anyways. Also the driveway to pull in is dangerous if you have a low vehicle like myself. I kept scrapping my car. Besides that the stay was amazing and cozy and a great getaway

Relaxing

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cottage, celebrating our 40th anniversary. Lots of windows to see the lake from inside and a nice deck to sit and enjoy a meal. My husband enjoyed Kayaking around the lake. This cottage has everything you will need to have a nice stay.

Lovely little getaway

I very much wish to come back to this lovely little home with its thoughtful touches and beautifully kept grounds — hopefully once the hot tub is up and running again! Even without the hot tub, it was one of my favorite of all the VRBO properties I’ve stayed in over the years. It has a lot of personality and I felt comfortable and at home right away. We were visited by ducklings, herons, and bunnies. We brought paddle boards and inflatables and spent time on the lake. I enjoyed the hammock, and we entertained my in-laws one evening by the fire pit. Everything was great!

Perfect Getaway

We loved everything about the property and house it is clean super charming has everything you need (but if you are a coffee lover like us please bring your coffee pot and coffee). Would highly recommend it and we are going to go back for sure.

Enjoyable

We enjoyed our time, but the loss of the hot tub took away from being able to fully enjoy our weekend. When we booked we figured that the hot tub would be our main amenity if It turned out to be on the colder side and that was exactly the case but the hot tub is out of order.

Beautiful Cottage!

We were so excited to arrive at the cottage. It was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. Unfortunately, we were informed prior to our arrival that the hot tub was not working, but after asking for a discount, we were immediately granted one by the owner. We bought firewood to enjoy in the wood burning stove, which was a great amenity! We woke up our first morning to find that the heat and the hot water were not working. I reached out the property manager, and they had someone out there quickly to fix it. The bed was very comfortable, and everywhere you looked in the cottage there was a thoughtful touch. The outside deck and beach had everything you could think of to enjoy the outdoors! Three seating areas on the deck (couch, lounge, table/chairs). There was a hammock in the yard under a tree, with an adorable bench. The beach had a fire pit with wood already set up, and chairs around it. There were kayaks as well. This would be a wonderful place to stay in summer, and even though it was early spring, we enjoyed the outdoors. I would definitely stay here again!
