Mountain Getaway is a Tiny Home in Wears Valley!

Mountain Getaway is a Tiny Home! It may be only 400 sq ft but it packs all the amenities that you need for your stay in the Smoky Mountains. This Tiny Home has a small fire ring outside with a park grill and a picnic table so you can enjoy the outdoors. You can also relax on the deck and listen to the frogs in the nearby creek. As you go inside the Tiny Home to the left of the front door there is wraparound seating with a dining table. The TV is located above the table. The couch and coffee table is to the right of the door. Walking straight into the Tiny Home is the kitchen that is fully stocked with all items to eat in if you so desire. To the right of the kitchen is a stacked washer and dryer. There is a hall closet to hang clothing or to store away your luggage. The bathroom has a standup shower (no tub). The bedroom has a king bed and more storage. In the living room take the stairs up to a loft where there is also a king mattress and TV (the overall headroom is 3 feet) it would be an ideal spot for young children or your teenagers. At the top of the stairs on the left is a small storage area for
the loft area.

Ups & Downs but still enjoyed it

Things we liked: Place was so cute and cleanClose proximity to everything Mountain ViewCozy and warm Loved the electric fireplaceFire pit outside for bonfire & s’mores Nice porch furniture Things we did not like: Main bed was not comfortable (too hard)Loft bed is betterDidn’t realize hot water runs out so fast in tiny homes (less than 10 minutes) Have to take really quick showers and space them out between each person taking them to allow hot water to build back up. Breakers tripped about 4 times during our stay. At first thought something was wrong with the fireplace bc it wouldn’t come on. Realized it was the breaker. It happened several more times.

November 2024 Stay

Very nice cabins! It was quiet and a great price for our stay. The beds were comfy and we loved just spending some time at the cabin, playing on the game table also! Needs potholders in the kitchen.

Rarely how it looks, or is priced for

Besides, the hyper filtered photos, which were literally a different color on the inside, and the perspective, not capturing the fact that the top of the stairs is about 3 feet tall only, the awkward and not very helpful interaction with the property management company with my questions, And the fact that each unit is super close (cramped for my taste or I would’ve found somewhere else), but someone looking has no way to know that, it was a good area, clean, cool set up, and comfy with blinds closed. Overpriced I think

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very clean and quite great place for a single or couple as there isn’t a lot of seating couch wise . . . Found no broom and fuses kept kicking off had to reset them 4 times and was only using tv and fireplace . . . There was no instructions how to use the tv so after about an hour realized there was only 1 Roku remote and it was in the bedroom and there wasn’t one in the living space . . . Glass dishes and bowls no idea if you could use them in microwave and the bowls were on an upper shelve where I couldn’t reach them . . . I called the office and left a message I needed a broom and that power was kicking off and never received a call back so 4 hours later when I want to dollar general get some plates and bowls stopped by office to get a broom since they didn’t call me back . . . Also the shower was perfect for me but I am very short I am not sure how a tall person would use the shower . . . Beautiful view of Cove Mountain

Tiny house concert trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived late evening, the tiny house had not been cleaned at all from previous guest. I contacted mgmt and the young lady was extremely nice and apologetic and worked diligently to find someone available to clean the tiny house that late in the evening. We were in town for a concert and agreed to stay if it was spotless within 2 1/2 hrs when we returned. Mgmt came through with exactly as promised and the tiny home was spotless. The remainder of our stay was great. Thanks

At the price that we pay it would be nice to have enough towels, toilet paper, detergents to last for how ever many days a person is renting for. Our cabin looked over a field with the mountains surrounding us and the “Smoke” floating across the tops of those mountains. I could just stay forever and never get board.

I went into this home to try living in a tiny house on my vacation. This was so much better than anything I ever could have expected. The home was beautiful, comfortable, well designed, and the staff was amazing. With everything from dining reservations to who made the furniture in the front porch. Just an amazing and restful vacation. Well Done!

Great little getaway

We had an amazing stay at this tiny house. Its perfect for 2 people or even a couple with kiddos. The game table was super fun. My 50 year old hubby loved playing chutes and ladders. This was a super quiet area and we would definitely stay again. We will say it was probably the cleanest place weve ever stayed! Thank you for the perfect getaway.

Perfect for a mini vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I loved this little cabin! We typically use our camper for mini vacations, but this trip was last minute and this cabin in an RV resort was perfect. Cabin was clean, comfortable and was stocked with basic kitchen items and plenty of bath towels. Was very quiet, the views of the mountains were beautiful. We loved the "less" congested area of Wears Valley, but only a 15-20 minute drive to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountain National Park. My one and only complaint was there were no extra blankets only the comforters on the beds, ended up not being a problem, the heat kept the cabin warm.

Amazing Rental

We had an outstanding stay at this location. House was very clean and elegant. We did not have any issues with the hot water. My son loved the he upstairs and gaming table. I hope this rental is available next time we come.

Great family vacation!

This place was perfect for us! Nice and cozy. The view is amazing! Did not have to drive up a steep mountain to get to it which was great, especially since lots of roads were frozen the day we arrived. The game table was a huge hit! Our girls, 10 & 11, really enjoyed the room upstairs! The breaker did trip a couple times, but everything came right back once it was flipped. Had to take about 5 minute showers each, 2 one night and 2 the next morning, because the hot water did not last very long. Maybe look into a tankless water heater? I’m spoiled at home with mine, that’s for sure, lol. We did go to pigeon forge and Gatlinburg while we were there, but Wears Valley also offers a few things to enjoy as well! Highly recommend breakfast at “Grandma’s Kitchen” which you could even walk to. Also, Tennessee Shine Co is right down the road and has some very unique and great tasting moonshine! We will definitely be back! Thanks so much!

Tiny and Tremendous

We loved our stay at Mountain Getaway from the moment we walked in the door. It is a perfect distance from Pigeon Forge and Townshend with a great porch where you can take in the beautiful view of the mountains and star gaze at night. We were close to our our favorite breakfast spot, Hillbillies, the park entrance in Townsend, Wild Laurel golf course, and the gorgeous Foothills parkway. We loved fishing in the pond on the Happy Hollow road property where my husband and I caught several bluegill, red ear and even a bass. Our tiny home was cozy and comfortable and we can't wait to return next fall!

The washer and dryer was especially handy after days of hiking. We loved being away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy the solitude of the Smokies,but, still a quick drive to all the local attractions.
