Big steps

Once inside this is a delightful batch. Getting inside was very difficult for two older women. The steps are gigantic. This could so easily be rectified by adding one step with handrail beside the out door shower.

Grateful place to be

We stayed only one night in the accomodation. It was easy to find and come in. It's very cute inside, the furniture is'nt the newest, but all was very clean and functional. There is a grateful place to be with a nice garden. It was a very helpfully and friendly contact with the owner.

Our stay in Orere Point

A little disappointed with the towels provided, no handrail on decking made it a bit difficult using them.No outdoor lighting on deck.No central kitchen light.

Lovely location

We were pleased we could have our dogs with us. Michelle was very helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed walks to the beach, around the neighbourhood and in nearby regional parks.

Beautiful Orere Point

Perfect spot for our short getaway made even better because our dog could join us, the house had everything we needed. Beautiful Bays all along the coast and delicious local takeaways. Awesome communication with the owners.

Restful Retreat

We found the place with ease and had no problem entering the house. It was clean and peaceful and 3 adults and 1 child had no complaints. We all slept like logs after our long drive. Thank you.

Home away from home

My husband and I really enjoyed our 5 day stay. It was easy to find and on the same street as our friends tiny home. Michelle was easy to contact and answered questions as needed. We felt at home immediately and it had everything we needed for our stay. There were plenty of sheets, blankets and towels available. The only thing we were would warn people is the 5 step to the deck has no railing and can be very dangerous for young children or people with mobility challenges, however there is a one step access on the other end of the deck via the lawn. Otherwise we would have no hesitation to recommend this bach and would definitely stay again.

Summer getaway

We had a nice stay at the property which was clean and stocked with basic provisions. The owner is quick to reply to queries which is helpful. The only hiccup was that there was no WiFi when we arrived. While we knew the data was not unlimited, the previous guest probably used it up already. Overall, it was a great stay.

Orere point stay

Great little house, very nice location and very clean and tidy, only hiccup we had we were not sent the code to the lockbox to get the key for the place so we had to sleep in the car from 3am when we got there. Otherwise than that I would definitely recommend this place, just make sure you get the code for the lockbox before you leave

Good Location for Short Beach Trip

Good location at Orere Point and easy access to the beach. Also an easy drive from Auckland. The place was very basic but clean (aside from a moldy squidgy left in the shower). We were given 2 half rolls of toilet paper for 3 days for 3 people. Had to buy extra ourselves. We also bought cleaning sponges for the kitchen as we were unsure how old were the ones that were provided (obviously used). Furnishings were a bit old with faded linen. The dining table was an outdoor plastic table. Communication with the host was great, really responsive and helpful.

Not quite what we expected

Arrived at the property to find it was not pet friendly, not fenced so we couldnt quite relax and let our dog outside. One side there is a construction site with a builder living onsite in a cabin just metres from my car, our dog constantly wanted to go over there. On the other side we had neighbours arguing on the last day of our stay. The driveway was a bit tricky also, other than that it had everything we needed and we pushed through those things and enjoyed getting out and about in the area. Thanks.

Essentially as described

Pros - our 4 legged kids were welcomed - plastic outdoor dining suite - liked the old feel of the place -comfy lounge Cons - verandah stairs precarious, felt unsafe - plastic dining table (from outdoors) - dirty bathroom bin - bedroom2 dirty ripped net and no curtains, I used a black sheet to cover a window but the other window didn't have a curtain wire to do the same - lounge curtain repaired using plastic pegs - I'm glad I took my own linen instead of being charged to use their well worn, old and faded items - a little inexpensive effort would go a long way to uplift the ambience and indepth info on access to the beach and boat ramp would have been helpful

Short stay

Excellent property, but only facilities in the township was a dairy. Bring your own food, or you will have to drive back to Clevedon

Clean, cosy and comfortable

Really enjoyed my stay, had everything I needed, the sunny north facing deck is lovely and the living areas got all day sun in winter. Very nice owner.

Thankyou for allowing dogs! And great location.

This cottage was ideal for what we needed in order to access the bike park and regional parks and it is in such a friendly neighbourhood. The kitchen could have done with a deeper clean but the bathroom was clean. The main thing for us was that we could relax knowing it is dog friendly so thankyou for that.
