House is beautiful and so many details that make it so special and one of a kind. Beautiful setting, pool, and perfect for our family gathering and making treasured memories. The delicious cake left by the host was devoured the first night. So kind..Thank you so much! Our family will be back!!!

The place had plenty of room for everyone and we enjoyed the pool & hot tub. The stores were close by for things I forgot. We had a wonderful weekend. I do think there should be a railing on the back porch.

This was the wedding HQ for the father of the bride and his family. Everyone loved the place and it was great to hang out together between wedding events.

Family gathering

Great property conveniently located in Schulenberg. We were greeted with a luscious cake and our family really enjoyed the pool! Very nicely renovated farmhouse, but note the steps to the second floor are steep and narrow - the way they were built back then.

The home was beautiful on the inside and out. The accommodations exceeded our expectations and provided everything we needed and more. The hosts were very helpful with our schedule requests and were easy to work with. They even left us an awesome desert! We will definitely be keeping this one on our list and hope to go back to make use of amenities better suited for warmer weather.

Great House

We loved our stay at this property! The house was very nice and well kept and the pool was amazing! We loved the carrot cake in the fridge upon arrival and the slide at the pool was an added bonus. The inside stairs were steep and narrow, but that is to be expected in on old farmhouse. We enjoyed our stay and much needed relaxation time.

Much needed get away from the city

My family and I had an incredible time at this house. The pool is amazing and my kids had a great time on the slide. My husband and I enjoyed our evenings out by the fire pit and when it got a bit chilly, we relaxed in the hot tub. We also spent much needed family time around the pool table. This trip was much needed!

Amazing property

We had a great time. It was warm enough to sit out by the pool, a few young people swam. We had a tournament in LaGrange so it was pretty clost to that area and Schulenberg area as well. Thank you for sharing your space with us!

This house is beautiful inside and out! Very spacious! Loved having all the bathrooms, especially after swimming everyone gets a quick bath. The water slide was a huge hit. Even the adults had a blast on it. It’s very hard to find a nice rental home that also allows dogs as well. My family will definitely be back for summer get away!!

Heaven on earth

When you open the door of this house, you are at home. The inside is beautiful farmhouse and you automatically never want to leave. There is enough room for family and friends that everyone can spread out and feel comfortable. As you open the back door, you are met with a beautiful view and an amazing pool that you can spend hours at. When it is time to leave, you don't want to...you look to see if you can stay one more minute, one more day... Check in was easy and the owners were quick to respond. We are already dreaming of our next stay.

This is the second year my closest friends and I gather at The Yellow Rose in Shulenburg, and I can't say enough about how WONDERFUL the entire trip went. The rooms are huge, there's plenty of beds and even extra space if we needed (we don't, but it's nice to have the room). We stayed in the beautiful pool enjoying the scenery most of the day. We are already planning on returning next year!! We were all wondering if the cake would be there again, and we got in to a debate about which one was better - last year's chocolate cake or this year's red velvet. It was a tie!! LOLThe only thing I think folks should be aware of is that sound travels throughout the house. We could hear everyone, everywhere, the entire time. We didn't mind it one bit, because that's how we like it - loud and happy, but sometimes families might want quiet time which would hard. Literally, that is the only feedback. This place is AMAZING!!!

Perfect for. Weekend or a week long vacation in the country

I can’t begin to describe wonderful this home was! The pool was amazing, even a Slide! We used the home as a landing spot for the weekend my son got married at one of the nearby wedding venues. The home was clean the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms was a little steep, but there were alternate stairs to use outside the also led to an upstairs deck with an amazing view! As if the pool and cute country kitchen wasn’t wvnough to make us feel welcome, the hosts left us a HOMEMADE Italian cream cake in the fridge( I think the best I’ve ever had 😋) 4 stars is not enough for this hidden country gem!

Very enjoyable, but door knobs inside kept falling off. Pretty antique knobs but, they don't work. Master bath door will not stay closed. Shower upstairs would have been nice but, just toilet. Everything else was great!

Incredible location and home

Once a year my core friend group from college do our best to have a weekend together. It is a very special tradition and the Yellow Rose was absolute PERFECTION. It is spacious, the game room is so fun, the multiple patio spaces were perfect for chats all day, and the pool has a slide which we enjoy immensely. The only reason I rated 4 instead of 5 stars was because it took literal weeks to hear from the management company when i asked questions. The other note would be that the VERY narrow staircase to get to the upstairs attic bedrooms could have been better described, because a warning about them would have been nice. HOWEVER, after a quick shuffle of people to put accessibility needs in order, we were happy as could be :) I also want to note that the owner left us a HOME MADE chocolate cake in the fridge to find and enjoy during our stay. It was DELICIOUS!! It was such a sweet gift, and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Everyone was so happy with this location that we agreed we would definitely return.

Lovely country setting

The home is comfortable & well decorated, with a unique bar area. Family members enjoyed the pool, but few got in the hot tub due to a strong chemical smell. The game room was a treat for the 10/13 yr grands. A sweet surprise was a beautiful cake, from the host. Negatives: The narrow, steep stairs, going up to the upstairs bedroom area, were not shown in the property photos. The adults, most of whom were 60+, dreaded going up the stairs. Only the most sturdy of our group, made the trek upstairs, revealing a lovely sleeping area. All agreed the stairs needed a flat, wood hand rail, for safety. The kitchen was awesome; however, everyone brought k-cup coffee pods & their was no Keurig. Sadly, no one knew how to use the furnished Mr Coffee, so I went to LaGrange, & purchased a Keurig. I also picked up kitchen towels/wash cloths & a draining pad, so we could wash, rinse & dry our own dishes. We found 3 small hand towels, not our idea of kitchen towels. The king bedroom was "wow", the shower is huge, but there was no place to set our shampoos/soaps. There was a waterproof trash can, so we set it upside down, in the shower, to place our products. We strongly recommend a shower caddy. We were not too fond of the armoire, which was full of bedding. It was difficult to hang items in the armoire. Overall, our family enjoyed our stay & hope this review brings positive small improvements .. where needed!

Great Country Location

Great time on property with plenty of room to spread out for a group of 7. Explored a few of the local towns and got in some great country biking and running. Enjoyed hang time in the game room on a rainy day.

Our group of friends were very pleased with the accommodations. Everyone had their own room and we had many gathering spaces to hang out. We would love to go back in the summer so we can use the pool!!

OUR DREAM FOREVER HOME

This is the place that people that live in the city always dream of. You can tell the family that owns this beautiful farm home put a lot of love, time and attention into bringing its old bones to new life. Every little detail of the inside and outside of the home brings you back to a time that once was. Their home is situated in the middle of gorgeous rolling landscaped hills right on the outskirt of town. My husband and I chose to stay at this home with our daughter, son in law, twin grand babies, and some cousins to attend a wedding. We really enjoyed being all together, the home was very clean and inviting. The beds are really comfortable too! Although we weren't able to take advantage of the jacuzzi or pool because of the cold weather we will definitely be back again, during the summer months, to enjoy it with all of our grandbabies. Thank You!!!
