Small, but ok for a short stay.Well situated: 7 min. walk to 2 Tube stations.Cute, quiet little street. And Jane was always quick to answer my questions.Thank you Jane!
Property is exactly as it looks in pictures. We liked the big windows. Location was convenient!!! Loved being next to Hyde Park. Check in instructions were very clear. Bed was comfy. One downside is the apartment was not very noise proof. The door lock was a bit tricky as the door didnât have a handle.
The room was small and comfortable. It was a base from which we explored London for a month. The internet was fast and saw a good deal of use. We had everything we needed in that little flat. The location was quite good. Every day we would walk through Kensington gardens, take the nearby underground station to far flung parts of London, and enjoy ourselves.
Our stay was amazing. Location was wonderful, great neighbourhood. The apartment was clean on arrival, and included all the amenities we needed for our stay. The check-in and check-out process was seamless. Our host was in good communication and ensured that we were enjoying our stay. The room was cozy and comfortable for two people. The only very little negative was we were only given one full towel and for my partner and I, one of us had to use two small towels, wasnât a big deal Iâm sure our host would of brought more if we needed.
I had a wonderful 3-week stay in London. The cozy apartment with large glass windows that offered a lovely view of a peaceful street with old brick houses and let in the warm morning sunlight. It was fully equipped with everything that I needed such as an iron board, iron, hair dryer, heater, vacuum, TV (with Netflix), fridge, microwave, and a small kitchen with all the necessary utensils as spoons, forks, pots, pans, bowls, plates, and cups. I cooked light meals for myself. There is a launderette across the street, itâs so convenient. The apartment locates near Paddington station, Hyde Park, Kensington Palace. It takes few mins to walk there. The host was friendly. She prepared tea and coffee for my stay. I hope i will have a chance to come back there soon
While very basic, the property was in a great location. Convenient to buses and trains, and the neighborhood offered many pubs and restaurants. If youâre just looking for a place to sleep as you spend the day out and about, this place fits that bill.
Very nice little place. Conveniently Close to trains, busses, and underground. Host was difficult to reach. NO hot water in either kitchen or bathroom sink. Getting room keys was very difficult for me with my cane to reach.I would stay there again but would hope for a better check in process.
I stayed for a week with my daughter.
Was a great base and the flat although small had everything we required.
People who had stayed previously had left some bits and bobs which was really helpful.
Bathroom was really small and for a larger lass like myself i did slightly struggle but managed.
A small foldable bedside table would be handy as would a small step ladder as cupboards are very high for someone petite.
There was a small stool but it was not stable but i was grateful my daughter was with me who was taller and able to reach some of the shelves.
I would definitely recommend and the host was very good in regards to communication.
Loved our stay in Paddington. Such a central spot for so many nearby underground lines and bus routes. The apartment was great. Was actually quite spacious for a studio. We were a little sceptical reading past reviews but everything was honestly fine. Shower got hot quickly and had good pressure. Big comfy bed. Huge window overlooking the street. The lift was super convenient. Loved having the mini kitchen for simple meals. Only thing was the heating was just a small fan heater, we managed fine but maybe in the colder months it would be cold at night. Two of us stayed there for a week and we had no issues, definitely recommend for an affordable stay in the best area of London.
The location of this flat was superb! Easy to get to pretty much anywhere in London thanks to its proximity to Paddington station. Also just a short walk (around 20 mins) to Notting Hill, which was a perfect way to spend a chill morning. Lots of dining spots nearby, too. Jane offered lots of info in her messages, and the check in and out processes were super straightforward and fuss-free.
A couple notes: this space is tiny!! Definitely better for visitors who are planning on being out most of the day and evening, but still very comfy to come back to. The walls are also thin, so you can hear neighbours and street noises; if youâre a light sleeper, I would recommend some ear plugs, they worked a dream at filtering out extra noise.
Our stay in London went well. Jane is a very helpful host. She gave us all the information we needed for our stay and answered all our questions.
Regarding the flat, we couldn't find any cutlery ! Otherwise, we had everything we needed. The cleaning was correct. The space is bright. The only "problem" was the soundproofing. We could hear our neighbours. Fortunately, the street was fairly quiet. Also, we didn't spend much time in the flat as we spent our days exploring the beautiful city of London. In fact, the flat's location is a major advantage when visiting the city !
The flat was tiny but perfect if you plan to adventure all day and just need a place to lay your head at night! The location was super easy to get anywhere you needed. We walked to Kensington Palace and a show at Royal Albert, and itâs close to two tube stations and multiple bus stops! Communication with Jane was thorough and easy. There is no in unit laundry, but we used a quaint launderette and deli combo directly across the street to freshen up halfway through! For people with large luggage (we had been traveling for a month prior), there is a small lift in the building, but you do have to pick up the keys to the flat from another location a few blocks away. Itâs on the way to the flat if you take transit to Paddington, but youâll have to walk a little bit if you take a car!
The elevator was out of order which made it impossible for two elderly people with health issues to stay. We had to cancel but the manager graciously refunded our money due to this problem.
if it was not for the restaurant people, I couldn't carry my suitcases up 4 floors. The elevator been out of service for TWO MONTHS now.
And lots more.and the handy men had to repair even the sockets for my plugs
Excellent location close to both Paddington and Lancaster Gate. Great for Heathrow express. The key box was a little tricky to find a few blocks away but Jane is an excellent communicator and made the process easy. The fridge and Wi-Fi didnât work and eventually Jane solved any problems by moving me to another suite in the building. I needed the Wi-Fi for work so I appreciated her solution! The first apartment leaked when it rained but that might be a building issue. Overall Jane was an excellent host and her place is perfect for a single of couple to explore London.
It's small and the walls are pretty thin. But my neighbours weren't overly loud, so that was never an issue.
My only complaints are that some of the dishes weren't as clean as I had hoped, and there was no cutting board. Also, the images online made it look like there might be a bathtub/shower hybrid thingy in my flat, but there wasn't (it was just a shower). It's also important to note that the street outside can be somewhat busy with nightlife at times and that the windows don't dampen the noise much. There's a cafe' right beside the venue, but the noise quietened down around 11 pm.
The service was very kind though and after asking for a second blanket, it was delivered the very next day.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay enormously. I didn't mind any of the complaints I listed that much and was quickly wrapped up in the atmosphere and the spirit of the beautiful area I found myself in: Hyde Park is two minutes away from the apartment, Paddington station is a 10-minute walk tops, and so I was able to explore at my own pace without the need to pay for public transport.
I had a wonderful time.
The best thing about this property is the location. Itâs in a central area, only a few minutes walk to train stations. There are grocery stores and many cafes and restaurants in the area. If location is your main priority, this place is good. However, the cons are the unit itself. The place is tiny and I understand that thatâs hard to control but there are many opportunities to make this stay better. At check in, we had to pick up the keys from a lock box at an outdoor parking lot, a 3 min walk away, so not very convenient especially at night. The utensils and kettle were dirty. It was a hot week in London and they provided a fan that was still in a box so we had to build it ourselves. The host didnât respond to my questions either, so other than check in and out, the communication is lacking. I would not book this place again.
We were very confused about the check in process. We were sent a very detailed description that still had missing details. After a day of traveling it was not ideal to run around looking for a lockbox that we were sent an incorrect picture of. The hot water as well throughout the trip only lasted 3 minutes a time. We told the host who had sent maintenance over but assured me there was no problem, which we still had issues with the rest of the trip. We wouldâve been understanding but the host made it seem like we were complaining about things that were not an issue for past guests. The lift was also broken the entirety of our trip and we carried our luggage up 4 flights of stairs the entire time. I was also told the first day of arrival our freezer is broken, the host asked us to manage this by letting it melt and cleaning up the water that defrosted. Our first day I cleaned moldy ice water out of the mini fridge. The door to the apartment gave us issues the first day because it has no handle, the first night I spent locked out for 2 hours because the host did not answer our calls until the next morning. We later found out the door has three separate locks instead of two. I think clearer directions on that would be helpful. There was also a broken window in the apartment that stays cracked open. I told the host and they said itâs old and working on getting it replaced, but my friend got sick. The location was ideal and we did enjoy the stay, just expected fewer inconveniences
