Updated condo is located on the 1st floor of the building so no elevator to wait around on. The unit has a king bed in the bedroom, two bunks in the bunk-room and a queen sleeper sofa, two full bathrooms and a fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances. A refrigerator with ice-maker, microwave, dishwasher, range, coffee maker, a blender is among the kitchen appliances. Two flat-screen TVs with cable and streaming internet channels are included. Board games are included for our guests to use.

Many of the restaurants nearby are landmarks in Destin. Silver Sands, a large factory outlet mall is seven miles east. The brand new Destin Commons outdoor shopping mall is at the corner of the Mid Bay Bridge and Hwy 98. It has a huge movie theater complex, Hard Rock Cafe, Bass Pro Fishing shop, Johnnie Rockets, and all the mall shops you have come to know and love in a beautiful outdoor setting. Fort Walton Beach has a new pier to fish off of that is wonderful. Deep-sea fishing and pontoon rental are right up the US-98! Destin was a fishing town before it was anything else, so you can come home with quite a catch!!

THINGS TO KNOW:
* Beach service is available for rent from March 1st to October 31st. * IMPORTANT NOTE:
Florida is a humid, wet natural environment with lots of nature....many bugs are important to our gardens and ecosystem - we use gentle bug/pest control....but we all do different things to keep praying mantis and other important pollinators in the garden however, rain forces them to seek shelter.
We DO NOT offer refunds for a bug, mosquito, lizard or spider inside. We've not had this occur but just in case. Best advice is keep doors and windows closed, wear long sleeves especially at sunrise and sunset as mosquitoes love to bite at this time.
We have gentle bug spray in the basket in the laundry room and thanks for understanding and knowing bugs are an important part of growing food and having an ecosystem that works to stay balanced.

We loved our stay! Everything was perfect. Kitchen was completely stocked with whatever you might need. It was especially nice not having to wait for an elevator. Bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Stay!

We absolutely loved this unit. It was clean, decorated beautifully and had all of the amenities we needed. The beds were comfy! The washer and dryer in the unit was a bonus. We enjoyed the welcome basket left for us. Debbie is an excellent communicator and takes great pride in her home. We will rent this unit again. Thanks for a great week!

Great Location and Stay for Fall Break

Wonderful condo with a great 1st location. The 1st floor leafy is with a peace of mind when our 3 year old was on the deck, and provided superb access to and from the beach. The location of the Pelican Resort was so close to the harbor walk, dining, putt-putt and shopping. The condo owner was great, and very responsive with questions. A++ stay, we will definitely be back!

Fun filled Labor Day Weekend

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Nice location in Destin. I enjoyed my morning coffee with the beautiful views of the pool and water. Property was just as advertised. Clean and nicely decorated with beach decor. Plenty of towels to go around. Also appreciated the extra trash bags and some laundry supplies. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook on. My boys were also a huge fan of the treat bucket provided. It made their weekend. Will definitely be booking again.

This property was amazing. The pictures were exactly as advertised. Had a very minor issue with the key code that was immediately fixed. Loved the snacks on the table. Absolutely wonderful and couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Quick trip to paradise

We had a great time at our quick trip to Destin! With the condo being on the first floor, it was super easy to get to the different pools. It was wonderful having extra beach equipment on the back porch. Would highly recommend!

Amazing Rental!!!

AH-MAZING! The condo was clean and ready for us right when we walked in the door. Check in was simple and the room was right around the corner so that helped with bringing our stuff in. Condo was stocked with kitchen supplies, nice sand toys, boogie boards and pretty much anything else we needed to enjoy our vacation. Area around the resort felt super safe with a laid back fishing vibe which the kids loved. Surrounding facilities were clean and in working order! Within walking distance from a Winn-Dixie and a Dunkin donuts which was good when it was a high traffic time. Family friendly pool/beach area which was nice with the kids. We could have a cocktail and they could have a frozen kid drink too!! This condo is not even a 1min walk from the pool/beach area and made lugging everything down everyday super easy. The best part was the pool in front of the balcony shuts down at dusk for the turtles (the others are 10pm) which made it quiet and relaxing at the end of a long beach day.You can watch the sun fade and listen to the ocean without the pool noise and that was a major plus for us. Tons of cool stuff to see and do within 5-15min of the condo. We loved everything about this condo and will be renting again next year!!!

Paradise

We had a lovely stay in a perfect location in Destin! Everything was as expected and as explained in the listing. Debbie communicated well and we had all the instructions ahead of time, including a suggested packing list. We did not require any assistance during our stay. The only reason I gave less than 5 stars to the check in process was that when we arrived around 4 pm on Monday, there were no carts and no parking spaces. It was very hot and the kids were complaining. Everyone was sweating. But we were in Destin, so that mood changed quickly to positive when everyone saw the condo with the pool and beach right outside! No elevator ride required! 30 second walk from front desk to condo door. Tips: Know your make model and license plate number (take pic on phone) when you reach the front desk. Don’t expect to have a cart to load/unload - pack accordingly with suitcases on wheels, etc. It’s not the end of the world if you can’t park in the loading zone, it’s just a longer walk to get everything inside. It is not the Resort’s or Debbie’s fault that people park longer than the 25 min allotted for those spots or that they apparently hide or somehow reserve carts. (I saw 2 carts in use and no others available or even in sight at 6 am on checkout day. I had gotten up to scope it out while the family slept and ended up re-parking in the lot as close to the building as I could as other cars left. The loading zone continued to be full from 6-10 am and we never did get a cart).

First trip to Destin

Beautiful area, plenty of food and amenities close to condo, security on point. Super easy to walk out of room to get to swimming pool and beach. If you do not pay for umbrella or chairs provided by property daily ($40) plan on bringing your own to save (condo owner did provide 2 chairs and small umbrella on the porch). The property provided chairs and umbrellas rented get priority spots near water. Condo does advertise in one location online it has 3 “bedrooms” there is only one actual bedroom and then sleeping for the other 4 occupants that are open to the condo (twin beds in the hall and a pull out sofa), all in great condition just not what I expected. Would probably book again if we did not have teenagers.

We could not have been happier with our stay. The condo was very clean, warm and welcoming. Beds were comfortable, and kitchen well stocked. Debbie was great ! We really loved staying at this property! The condo was excellently maintained, and was beautiful with all of the beachy decor and updated finishes. We had a nice view as well and convenient access to the pool and beach both! Highly recommend. :)

Beautiful place to stay

Loved the lower level condo especially with kids and luggage. No waiting for the elevator. Drinks were amazing from the Tiki hut. We will definitely be back!

Family summer vacay

We travel the Florida coast often. This is actually our 3rd trip this summer. This is by far the nicest condo I have ever been to! It was also the cleanest! There were supplies that you always forget when going out of town; sand toys, games, food seasoning. There was a basket on the counter as we arrived with snacks. The condo was comfortable and in a prime location. Beach access was close and easy. The chairs on the beach were nice but I recommend calling ahead. We called a week before our trip and the chairs were almost sold out. The food and drinks from the cafe were amazing. Debbie was always available and easy to get in touch with. We will definitely stay here again!

Condo is good, but loud

Overall the condo was fine, but none of the other reviews mentioned how loud it was. It’s located near a garage door that opens around 6:40 every morning and also near the front doors. Between the guests being loud until after midnight some nights, traffic, and the very loud, squeaky garage door opening every morning for trash, I never got a good nights sleeps. Yes, it’s convenient for loading and unloading and the beach, but I was not expecting to not be able to sleep well, so I wanted to mention it for those that are light sleepers. The condo was mostly clean, except there was a Sunny D bottle we found in the top bunk and we didn’t have sunny D, which means it was not cleaned from previous occupants. We also had a problem with the washer staining some of our clothes and towels, but the owner said she’d address after we check out. Communication with property manager was good.

Perfect Family Vacation

This condo was perfect and just as described. My fiancé and our 3 kids fit comfortably and it was perfect being about 20 feet from the beach. The owner was so accommodating for our asks and I would rent again 10 out of 10 times! A+
