Cottage victorien de 1888 méticuleusement rénové dans le centre-ville de Winter Harbor. Laissez cette charmante maison être votre plaque tournante pour toutes les activités dans la péninsule Schoodic et le parc national d'Acadia. Il a de l'espace pour se divertir ou simplement pour se détendre.

La rénovation récemment achevée a préservé le caractère de cette demeure victorienne avec de hauts plafonds, des moulures couronnées, des boiseries originales et des planchers de bois franc tout en offrant une vie moderne avec cuisine / salle à manger / salles familiales à aire ouverte, comptoirs en granit, nouveaux appareils électroménagers, salles de bains rénovées et espaces rafraîchis. La cuisine et les chambres à l'étage offrent une vue sur Henry Cove et le débarcadère du ferry de Bar Harbor. FALL TRIP TO ACADIA

The property was fantastic! It was an older home/cottage that has been renovated to a very high standard. The fit & finish of the home and the furnishings were excellent. It would have been hard to find a better property for the four of us to visit Maine and Acadia. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Incredible July Vacation

The house was great. Wonderfully kept older home. Very clean and everything was perfect. We really enjoyed the charming town of Winter Harbor. We experienced several of the local restaurants and thought they were all good. Perfect place to stay if you want to relax and enjoy the quiet.

Wonderful Mother/Daughter weekend!

Our stay was so much fun! There is absolutely nothing the host hasn’t thought of. Everything was so nice - we were pampered! We utilized the kitchen, big screen tv, grill, and even the fire pit. The beds were so comfortable! Stephen communicated regularly and replied quickly to any questions we had. We would definitely encourage others to stay here.

Great Stay

We were a group of 5 adults and two kids. This was one of our favorite properties we have stayed in. Everything was clean and well organized. There was everything you could need as far as condiments, seasonings, coffee pods, tea, and the list goes on. Great location for a short walk to the store and to food. We truly enjoyed our stay here!

Relaxing Summer Visit

We had a wonderful time at this charming home. It is one of the best rentals I have ever visited. It felt more like staying at a friend’s home. The house was well stocked with so many extras that enhanced our stay. We preferred the quiet atmosphere of Winter Harbor over the hustle and bustle we found on our visit to Bar Harbor. Our favorite activity was definitely the time we spent searching for sea glass on the sandy beach near the house. The local grocery store had everything we needed and the grab and go chowder was some of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend and hope to return one day!

Ideal 4-family gathering

Our adult children and their partners met us in winter Harbor for a short family gathering. Time was limited because of their jobs so we needed a location where everything we needed and wanted to do was close by. The Victorian cottage in Winter Harbor was perfect. Is attractive and well equipped with all the amenities we needed and more. The location was perfect for biking in the park for walking to restaurants and shops and exploring nearby communities. The outdoor space was small, but work nicely with the firing in the center of the picnic table, a bike rack, and nice gas grill. It also had a pleasant view, and the neighbors were very nice, allowing us to set up our cornhole on the edge of their property.

An exquisite home

We loved this charming, comfortable, delightful home. It is beautifully decorated, with lovely linens, plenty of towels, and many small touches that made our stay ever so nice. The hosts were terrific in providing detailed information about the house and fabulous suggestions on what to do in the area. It is over an hour's drive from the main parts of Acadia but the Schoodic side of Acadia was gorgeous and we enjoyed our time in Winter Harbor.

The house was really beautiful! We enjoyed our limited time there, and check in and check out were simple. The beds were comfortable and everything we needed was in working order. Winter Harbor

A gracious host and charming house that is very well organized and set up for a seamless stay. The charming hamlet of Winter Harbor was a good base for our explorations of the Schoodic Peninsula and Petit Manan. We enjoyed kayaking on Tunk Lake with the children and to some nearby islands in the bay. We loved the old time general store and nearby shops. Thanks!

Quiet Acadia getaway

Lovely cottage with coffee, sandwich, breakfast options just steps away. Bike rental less than a mile away to bike around Schoodic Peninsula, the quieter side of Acadia. We hiked there, as well. Also walkable to the ferry over to Bar Harbor and main Acadia National Park (if the ferry isn't running, it's an hour drive). The cottage is very comfortable, clean and well-maintained, and the info provided about the cottage and surrounding area very helpful. Stephen is an excellent host.

A Winter Harbor treasure!

Four of us enjoyed this beautifully kept spacious house and garden for a week and we loved exploring Schoodic Peninsular, Corea, Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge, the local cafe, stores and restaurants. This home is centrally located in Winter Harbor, we enjoyed walks from the house and it is in walking/ biking distance from many of the area attractions, including the Lobster Co-op! The locals and neighbors we interacted with were friendly and helpful and we all fell under the spell of this lovely home and and its place in Winter Harbor, Maine.

Hidden gem of Acadia

This home and it's accommodations is absolutely everything I thought it was going to be and more! I really wanted to make sure I found a house big enough for two families , and this house was absolutely perfect. Open rooms, bed room/bath downstairs for early risers and two bedrooms/bath upstairs. The beds were so comfortable and kitchen had everything you could think of to wip up some fabulous Seafood, We will surely be back !!!

Winter Harbor is a hidden gem and is a relaxing vacation getaway and mecca for the outdoor enthusiasts. The in-town location is perfect for walking to the shops, restaurants, art galleries and engaging with the friendly residents. Step back in time by visiting the 5 & 10 store and viewing the preserved mansions on Grindstone Neck. Enjoy great food, drink and of course the fresh lobsters right off the dock! Take in a performance at Hammond Hall afterwards.

During your visit you must take the ferry to Bar Harbor and enjoy the beautiful views along the way. You can do all the touristy things at Bar Harbor and then retire to Winter Harbor for a good nights rest, away from the hustle & bustle! Also make sure you take the free in-town shuttle to site-see and go hiking at Acadia National Park, Schoodic Point. Don't forget your camera, the area is breath taking!

This older home has been carefully and lovingly renovated by the previous owners and we are very grateful. We love how light and bright the spaces are, painted beautifully and where modern meets historic. We love the high ceilings downstairs and the cozy bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen and adjacent open rooms are perfect, as are all the amenities and flowering gardens. My wife and I are the next keepers and caretakers of Harbor Gardens Cottage and we ask that you please respect and treat our property as you would your own and help preserve for others to enjoy.
