Beautiful Cabin, Great Location

We loved our stay. Beautiful cabin with a great and accessible location to the lake and the grocery stores in the area. Quiet, private and a well taken care of home. This will not be our last trip.

Great property

The cabin was as described and very spacious for our family of 5. Unfortunately, it was a short stay (only 2 nights) so we didn't get to get the full use and enjoyment of what the cabin has to offer, but we thoroughly enjoyed our mini getaway. We'll definitely be back - very convenient location to everything as well.

Home away from home that’s the feeling you get.

Amazing place I was told it was a place that makes you feel like you’re at home it was more then that it felt like home so far the best place to stay I’ve been to in many years it’s home . And a great price for what you get .

Beautiful View

Cozy cabin! Stayed here with my family and we all loved the entire home. Very spacious, we enjoyed the game area. The deck was so beautiful for outside cooking. Waking every morning to the view was amazing. None of us wanted to leave.

Overall great experience. However, there were a few things I recommend

The property was gorgeous! However, for people staying longer periods of time there should be laundry accessible. As well as more paper towels and trash bags.

Comfortable, relaxing, kept kids entertained.

This home was very nice. Everything was nicely spaced out so that noise levels in what area didn't disturb another. The game room had plenty to keep the kids busy and entertained. It felt like home and was easy to relax in. Our 2 families which included 4 adults and 5 children. We all enjoyed our stay here.

Home Away from Home!

From the moment we set foot inside this mountain house we felt at home! It is beautifully appointed, spacious, clean, and offered everything we expected from the description online - and more. We were a large group of 5 adults/2children under 3 years of age, and there was ample space for all. The kitchen was a dream and well supplied with dishes, glassware, bakeware, utensils - every amenity you could ask for. We were especially looking forward to the game room with the billiards table - and it did not disappoint! The owner obviously takes great pride in this home, and has gone above and beyond to make it cozy and comfortable. We would definitely rent this home again! It was perfect for us! Thank you so much!

Cabin near shopping center

The cabin was in a residential area near a Vons and Stater Brothers supermarkets. You can walk in the neighborhood. The cabin was very spacious with 3 bedrooms, a living room upstairs, a game room with a pool table and a family room downstairs. There was a large deck on the upstairs level as well as the downstairs level.

Perfect for a large Family!

This lodge was clean, very spacious, and tastefully decorated throughout. It was well supplied with everything you would need with plenty of amenities including a pool table, board games, a wet bar, jacuzzi tub, wifi, several tv's, and lots of lounge furniture to enjoy the great outdoors. The weather was great (we came from Phoenix, in July!). The neighborhood was a great place to get out and explore. Lots of fun things to look at, beautiful sights and sounds of nature to enjoy, and a great way to get a good workout with all the hills. My family enjoyed there stay very much.

Fanfastic place for a mountain get-away. Highly recommend!

Brought the family up for Easter vacation and had a wonderful time. This property is spacious, well appointed, comfortable and conveniently located, but the highlight is the amazing scenery visible from the deck, family room, dining room and kitchen. The whole upper level is set up to enjoy the mountain views and they are really beautiful.

This large house has everything you want-great location, well-equipped kitchen, large and beautiful bathrooms, large TV, but most of all an amazing view of the mountains and trees. We had a very relaxing and peaceful time.

Great Place!

My group had a great 4th of July weekend at this cabin. It was spacious and clean. It was perfect for entertaining. We played pool, cooked meals in a well stocked kitchen, and utilized the bar downstairs and the large patios. I would love to come back in the fall and winter months.

Beautiful home very strict on company

So I will start with the house and the owner are amazing! The balcony views were so refreshing and it was so nice after lockdown to get away. I’m aware that because of the pandemic they were a little more strict on the amount of people that were allowed however Suzy (City worker) did not handle it well. I stayed for four days and made the owner aware that I was having people over both Friday and Saturday, we had four cars parked in the driveway, which is one over limit, but we were very respectful and very quiet during our stay so I was confused when Suzy came knocking with very much attitude asking “what’s going on here” when clearly she could see babies playing in the living room and a kids movie on while the teens and adults were playing a game in the dining. After her visit everything was very awkward, I contacted the owner who said as long as everything calmed down by 8 it was ok, but honestly suzys visit made my guests feel very unwanted and they felt forced to leave. With that being said besides the few dead bugs laying around the stay was nice. Be careful on the steps going down to the bottom floor, where that vent is my husband sock got ripped and he got a nice little slice on the back of his ankle ... thank you to Diedra for putting your house for us to visit I’d recommend to anyone who is just going with a small family.

Accomodating and comfortable

My husband just commented how great it was that there was a snow shovel out front. We would not have been able to clear the driveway or make a sled run without it. The cabin was very clean and well supplied as well as being nicely decorated. Most places I have rented are missing something or there is a problem with something but not here. The layout was great for our 4 grand kids and the 4 adults. Two adults weren’t able to make it but we felt like there would have been plenty of room with them there also. There is a living room on each level as well as a game room so we could really spread out. The linens were well supplied and there were lots of blankets. The beds we used were comfortable but we didn’t use the one in the smallest bedroom. You may want to bring extra kitchen towels as there are only 2. Paper towels and kitchen trash bags were supplied which I don’t always find. Be aware that there isn’t a washer/dryer available. It’s really hard not to track in snow as there is no real place at the entry to remove snow clothes. The owners probably don’t want renters in the garage but it might be a way to have people come in and get the snow off before coming in the house. I was always worried about getting the entry area wet. The fire places are wood burning so bring wood if you want to use them. The location seems good although we never went anywhere so it didn’t matter to us. There was enough snow for the kids to play around the cabin. It was a great family weekend, very comfortable and relaxing.

The house is big and beautiful. Lots of space. We hard a party of 10 and had ample room. Owner has some good table games and billard, was good for the day we were rained in. Everything is beautiful and clean and organized. Instructions are clear. We had to take turns for showers as we couldn’t figure out how to make boiler last hot water for us 10. Otherwise lovely stay!! If we go back this would be our first choice !!

Amazing cabin!

My family and I went up to Big Bear for my daughter's third birthday and couldn't be more thrilled with the Black Bear Family Cabin! It was so spacious and cozy and clean. Dierdre was so nice and accommodating and helpful, answering all our questions and giving us a heads up for weather and things to do/take with us. We all agreed the next time we go to Big Bear, this will be the cabin we always stay in!!

Great mountain stay

I thoroughly enjoy this place. Been here a couple of times. It located close to resorts, village and lake. It was a nice and peaceful weekend enjoyed walk around neighborhood and the lake. The home was clean and well kept. Played a few rounds of pool in the game room. The upstairs and downstairs family areas are nice. We’ll be back soon!
