MAISON HISTORIQUE DANS LE VILLAGE - REMODELED
3 chambres, 2 cabines de la salle de bain est magnifiquement et complÚtement rénové et se trouve à quelques pas du village. WiFi / Cùble, 2 Smart TV, lecteur Blu-Ray, cheminée, laveuse / sécheuse, bibliothÚque, allée de stationnement, Animaux acceptés.

EMPLACEMENT! EMPLACEMENT! EMPLACEMENT!
Notre maison est Ă  seulement quatre maisons du village, ce qui est moins de 100 mĂštres Ă  pied et une promenade facile, sur les trottoirs, vers le lac, le parc Rotary et la marina de Pine Knot! La forĂȘt nationale est Ă©galement juste en haut de la rue pour un accĂšs facile aux sentiers de randonnĂ©e.

CE QUE VOUS AIMEREZ:
Tout l'intérieur de la cabine est mis à niveau et flambant neuf, y compris la moquette et le sol! Confortable jusqu'à la cheminée à gaz journal quand le temps froid rend une visite. Un barbecue au propane Weber se trouve sur le grand pont arriÚre. Les grands pins offrent un espace idéal pour la sieste en hamac. Grand porche spacieux. Cette maison est aussi propre que possible. Beaucoup de stationnement allée, y compris un parking pour bateaux. Animaux acceptés.

This house was the perfect place to spend time with our grown kids before summer ends. The big parking space made it easy to park our boat. Also the convenience of being so close to the Village was icing on the cake. We will definitely be coming back to this cozy little house!

Las Vegans escaping the heat

Just a wonderful wonderful stay at the “Bacon house”. Celebrated my wife’s BD and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and the paddlewheel boat was such a plus. We would definitely stay again if Laura would have us! Can’t say enough positive things, future vacationers will NOT be disappointed!!

Memory Filled New Years Weekend

We had an amazing time at the Rustic Cove in Big Bear! The House is adorable with all the amenities one might need! Super close to the Village too! We enjoyed our family time with our daughter home from college and the bonus was the snow fall! We will definitely be back to stay here again!

An amazing few days in our favorite place!

This was an amazing home and an even more amazing experience working with the owners. Ever ounce of needs we could have thought of, were already there upon our arrival. These owners have thought of everything. The home is perfect and the location is exceptional. We will be back to Rustic Cove...a rare gem!

My family loved this cabin. We do an annual big bear trip and this cabin was so clean and well decorated that we felt right at home. My boys loved the little nook in their room and both slept there all night. The beds are extremely comfy, the kitchen is well stocked and the cabin was like 4 houses from the main street. We will be back next year ! Added bonus is that Laura, the owner, is the nicest person to work with :)

Perfect location, updated, clean, full of Big Bear Charm

Our family of 5 with 3 teen boys and our fur baby loved our annual Big Bear trip this year. The Rustic Cove/The Bacon House, was just as pictured. Beautifully updated and decorated. This family home is rich with history which the family shares with the guests. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and had fluffy towels. The house is not huge but it is well laid out and our family found it was fine and worth the coziness in order to be so close to the town. You can see the lights of the lit up Christmas trees from the living room and it was so nice to be able to just walk to town which is about a block. We will definitely be back! Thank you Bacon Family!

Perfect spot

We took our boat up to Big Bear for the week. The property had space to park it, which was wonderful. The house itself was cozy and clean. It looks recently remodeled and they did a great job. Laura was very responsive to my questions. She sent me a list of all the marinas and their distance from the house. She also checked in with us after our stay. Finally, the house is just a block from the village. We walked to dinner and shopping every night. Fantastic stay for our family of four and our dog. Thank you!

Very cozy cottage

I loved the newly remodeled cottage. It was very convenient to have 2 full size bathrooms with bathtubs. Really helps to minimize the luggage with washer and dryer (except I forgot to bring laundry soap). The house is perfect for enjoying the slopes to ski bc it was only 2.5 miles away to Snow Summit. Very convenient that the house is so close to downtown. I would definitely stay in this house again bc of location and coziness. Me and my family appreciate how clean the house was; not even hesitating to lay m 4-years olds’ sleeping bags on the clean rug. Only thing I’d say is the blankets inside the living room coffee table didn’t seem laundered but it could have just been the sawdust from the inside. Anyways, with the fireplace directly across the couch-no need for extra blankets. The turnkey personnel was very prompt getting to the property once we arrived. The owner is very helpful in communicating with me, giving me helpful info on mountain and road conditions. Very much appreciate the little touches of makeup remover and sweet candy treats (which I had to put out of reach for my 4 years olds). Most of all, the beddings were comfortable and clean!

Perfect!

The property was clean and well stocked. Our host Laura was available for any questions and gave us the most helpful tips which we really appreciated. We had no need to drive as the property was walking distance from The Village. This is definitely a place we would book again. We loved it!

Quick after New Year's Getaway

The property is what you expect from listing plus so much more. The location was prime, close to The Village as stated. The house was fully stocked with anything you might need. From extra blankets to batteries to spices you may have forgot to games and Blu- rays. Check-in was easy, Laura and Ken were great hosts who were very responsive when a minor issue came up with TV. They were very accomidating hosts and you can tell they want their guests to enjoy themselves. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Great location

Can't beat the location. A 2 minute walk to the heart of the village. Just off the corner of Village and Pine Knot. Amenities were a bit lacking, and televisions were small, but other than that, great place to stay. Very clean.

Lovely, clean, beautiful cabin!

This cabin was perfect for our visit to Big Bear Lake! We traveled with our two kids and two grandkids (4 & 2). Everything was exactly as described and the property was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was well stocked, There are two bathrooms, both with bathtub/shower combinations. The living room is spacious and the bedrooms were very comfortable. We especially loved spending time on the large front porch, enjoying the beautiful scenery and peace and quiet! The owner, Laura, was very easy to communicate with and made our trip worry free! The location of this property is exceptional! We were able to walk to the village in minutes. We enjoyed the restaurants, shops, and lake. Another trip to Big Bear would definitely include this property again. Thank you, Laura, for your hospitality!

Perfect Mountain Getaway

The home was very clean, nicely furnished, a very short walk to the Village, and stocked with nearly everything you could need! We needed a break from weeks of 115°+ weather in the desert and this was a perfect getaway. As with almost all mountain homes, there is no A/C, but there are fans in every room (plus extras in the cabinets) so with a little attention to closing drapes and windows at midday the house stayed very comfortable. Laura and Ken could not have been better hosts! We have already referred others to this gem, and we will definitely be back!

We are brother and sister, Ken and Laura. We along with our spouses, Lesie and Phil, are the proud owners of this little "Treasure in the Pines" that had previously been in our family for generations. Here’s the story


Our grandparents purchased this historical Big Bear home in the early 1940's. They raised our Mother and Uncle in this quaint home. Growing up, we made fond memories here when visiting our Grandparents home.

After being in our family for over 70 years this sweet little abode was sold in 2015 to a fine family who appreciated the diamond in the rough that this sweet home was, and they kindly remodeled it to the charming home that it had been so many years ago. Life's path took an adventurous turn for that family and we are so grateful that they sold the home to us.

We are so very thankful, and beyond thrilled, to have the blessing of our Grandparent's historical legacy back in the fold of our family! We're delighted to share our little piece of heaven with our guests.

A beautiful short stroll from home brings you to the shore of the Lake, Rotary Park and the Pine Knot Marina. The National Forest is also just up the street from our home for easy access to great Hiking Trails.

Winter turns the Village into a Winter Wonderland of lights. Watch the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony and Festivities on “Christmas Tree Corner”, right at the end of our block! The Ski Slopes are only 2 miles away for Snow Skiing & Snow Boarding in the Winter, and for Mountain Biking in the remaining seasons of the year. During the Winter season the Mountain Transit provides shuttle service to & from the Ski area, with transfers conveniently located a block from our home.

Listening to the rustling of the pines, enjoying the clean mountain air, and eavesdropping on the singing birds from the grand front porch are delightful pleasures.

There's no better way to soak up the "culture" of a town then to walk the heart of it, and this home definitely shares its heart with the quaint Village of Big Bear Lake. We love that about our little "treasure in the pines" and we're sure you will too.

Of course the great Location, just a short walk to everything The Village has to offer, as well as the Lake and the National Forest for hiking, all in walking distance from our home. Our house is an easy drive off the main Village road, no icy hills to navigate. Our street is plowed during snow season. Flat driveway for off street parking.
