What a wonderful, beautiful place to stay. We loved staying here and would come back again and again. It was so well kept and such a perfect location! Thanks for our stay we highly recommend to people wanting a lovely cottage experience!

Charming cottage

We really enjoyed our stay. Close to town and attractions. The outdoor area is so beautiful and a wonderful spot to sit and relax.

Enjoyed our stay at Walnut Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at Walnut Cottage - in particular, the backyard. Very handy location to be based at to see the sites of Bridgetown and its surrounds. Being an older person, I did find the bed mattress a little too firm for me, but I feel most people would find it good.

Bridgetown house

Very good position of the house, nice, clean, quiet. The WIFI should be really helpful for all guest. We can recommend this house definitely.

In the lead-up, communication with the Host was excellent. Information was clear and concise with all extra questions answered in a timely manner.On arrival, the facilities proved to be outstanding. Wall-to-wall comfort in amongst the trees in Bridgetown turned out to be THE BEST way to see out 2025.Highly recommended.

Comfort and proximity

This is the second time I have stayed at this listing and it has been fantastic each time. Cosy home with plenty of amenities, plenty of space and walking distance from Bridgetown town centre. I would highly recommend for anyone planning a stay in Bridgetown.

Looking for a relaxing atmosphere

looking for a old world atmosphere in our accomodation and found it beautiful old world furniture in great condition wonderful garden nice neighbours very friendly and helpful. All local information was already in the house for us. very quiet area most relaxing. made the holiday a very peaceful and pleasant for us.

The house is very nice and wonderfully maintained. The host was very good with communication. We would stay here again. The only problem is the neighbours at the back fence can see right into the backyard and the rear of the house and they are often at the fence. The property is a big enough that it isnt a huge issue but a privacy screen or fence at the rear of the property would make the place perfect.

Bridgetown trip

The property was clean and tidy, and provided all the necessary facilities. The only disappointment was that the property was advertised as pet friendly however the backyard was not secure, so therefore I could not let my dog run free. Otherwise excellent property, as it’s an old property if I owned the property I thought of ways to renovate it but I like dreaming about how to improve properties. Thank you Alison.

Nice but perhaps extra information re amenities would help visitors be better prepared.

Our stay was as per details in listing.. comfortable, home away from home conveniences, and labradoodle friendly. The only other thing I would say is that the listing should mention that you need to byo ALL things needed to use living room stove (from matches thru to marshmallows) to be able to use this amenity - after about 15 similar long weekends away at down sth properties over the yrs this is the first I’ve come across where matches/lighters/some wood wasn’t provided. Outside property not pet secured, for us not a problem as dog doesn’t roam. Location is on the urban side (good for having a chat to neighbours over the fence and walking to coffee shop) - suited us fine, so just for others information.

Bridgetown cottage

This cottage was cosy and well situated close to the centre of Bridgetown. The bed was comfortable and a deep bath was a bonus for a winter stay. Kitchen facilities were basic, but contained all of the essentials. A reverse cycle aircon and fireplace provided warmth for a winter stay. However, I would definitely recommend the owner provide firewood as purchasing our own by the bag was an expensive way to enjoy a winter fire. I reported the fire alarm had a flat battery to the property manager and was pleased that we were able to have this fixed the following day (the alarm squeaked intermittently until the battery was replaced). We had an enjoyable stay - I will recommend this cottage to others.

We could provide firewood but that would increase the rate for all guests whether they used it or not. We have found this to be a fair system for everyone.

We enjoyed our stay here! Lots of space to relax. Beds were comfy, rooms were warm at night, as the only aircon is in the loungeroom, which is very noisy. Having a full laundry was extremely appreciated! The bathroom was great, but the showerhead needs replacing. If you bring kids, bring a step, as the bath is very tall. The property itself it absolutely beautiful, the backyard is stunning, although the fence needs a privacy screen installed, as the neighbour was constantly at the fenceline during our whole stay, which made us very uncomfortable and not use the backyard during our stay. Please also install some blinds on the rear windows to the property, given that it is the laundry/bathroom/toilet area and the neighbour has full view into the whole rear of the house!!

Walnut Cottage stay

This is a very comfortable place to stay and centrally located in Bridgetown. The yard isn't closed off entirely and the decor a bit dated, but I would highly recommend this cottage.

Short stay in Bridgetown

House was very well presented and ideal location for us to explore inland Southwest towns. Only suggestion is to install an internet/wifi service and charge an extra per day amount for usage, that would have been perfect. Other than that, it was brilliant.

Charming Country Cottage

Fantastic location opposite bushland reserve. The house was full of charm and character and contained everything you could need. The Garden was beautiful and also the host had an amazing array of vegetables,fruits and herbs which you could use. The chickens were a constant source of amusement very friendly and no bother. Loved the fact that it was a walk to town and cidery but there are lots of hills but fantastic exercise. We will be back human and dog friendly.

We love staying here

This was our second visit to Walnut Cottage and it was just as good the second time. There is everything you need. The beds are really comfy, the shower is fantastic and the garden is wonderful. My little boy loves the chickens. It's a steep walk up the hill from the main street but that just means I can eat more of the bakery's cinnamon scrolls. We will be back again.
