Perched high on the hill overlooking the Blackwood valley to hills beyond sits spectacular âArumaâ described by some of our visitors as a touch of Tuscany. Our home was totally re built in 2020 to create one of Bridgetownâs most impressive homes incorporating expansive open living areas and gourmet kitchen extending onto a full length deck taking in the properties breathtaking views. Four of our bedrooms have hotel grade king size beds that can be split into 8 king singles to suit guests configuration requirements. Multiple bathrooms all offer designer quality fittings and those with baths have garden or valley views. Situated on 10 acres of farm land and orchards, you will be entertained by our resident guinea fowl ( the girls) or relax watching our lawn mowing sheep. In season you are welcome to help yourself to our âfruit bowlâ orchard or enjoy our ever expanding garden or drinks by the dam.
The house is spacious, warm and inviting. It is well organized and contains everything you need to stay. The views are amazing. The hosts were lovely and we would definitely stay again.
Excellent house. Large and spacious with expansive, elevated deck, which has long views over the property and surrounding countryside. Five minutes drive from town.
Excellent property for a family or group of friends, fabulous amenities with plenty of bathrooms and space to relax or socialise. We enjoyed Bridgetown itself as it has plenty of eating places and shops, the property itself was lovely, nice views with plenty of bird life and ,of course, the lovely sheep and the three Guinea fowl. Too cold for the pool although some were tempted! would definitely go again - hesitant to recommend it to others as it might make it impossible to book!
Lovely place for all the family well stoked with all we needed only complaint was there were no clothes hangers in wardrobes Had a very pleasant time in the spacious living area and all bedrooms were a good size Ian & Lesley Perth.
Johnâs house was wonderful for our family holiday! Kitchen was very well fitted out with so much cutlery/crockery etc and the house has lovely big living areas. It was a very hot weekend when we visited so we were very thankful that the living area and most of the bedrooms had aircon. And the pool was great too. Only feedback would be it is inconvenient not having rubbish truck location for the property so you have to take all rubbish into town, but this was explained by John before we arrived. Also driving is steep, and had a few potholes so just be aware when driving in. John was great to deal with - I left something behind and John kindly brought it up to Perth for me so I could collect. We had 6 adults, two kids and two infants and would recommend the place for a group of the same size :)
This is the 4th time we have stayed at this property and it was excellent as always. Well presented, well appointed, comfortable, peaceful, perfect for a weekend getaway. We'll definitely be back.
great house in a beautiful location with lots of room and facilities for a group of 7 friends getting together to catch up and do some creative work and generally just celebrate
This house was stunning and the location was beautiful. Massive kitchen, enormous primary with ensuite. Lots of room for everyone. The balcony was our favourite, looking at the valley, the sheep and at night listening to the frogs in the distance call to each other. Bliss !
Bridgetown House - Spectacular views to the valley
A group of us (7 people) booked the Valley house in Bridgetown for a golfing weekend.
We booked only 2 nights - I wished we had booked for 3!
We had an excellent time in the house.
So much room. A very large dining table and the sofa lounge is extremely spacious.
We had the fire going in the slow combustable both nights - which kept us extremely warm.
The kitchen has everything that you would need. A great stove and oven to cook up a feast.
The fridge is also very big and fitted all our food and drinks.
The main bedroom and ensuite has views of the valley.
The other four bedrooms are very roomy with either king beds or two single beds. The forth bedroom is more of a study with a sofa bed, which is the smallest of the rooms.
The beds are all extremely comfortable.
There are three bathrooms, one being the ensuite in the main bedroom and the other two bathrooms servicing the four bedrooms.
There is a large deck off the lounge/dining room and pool to the side of the house - but as it was winter we didnât use either.
The gardens are lovely and plenty of land to walk around.
I look forward to booking again next year for our golf weekend.
All I would do to improve the property is some large signage of the house number on the street and a very large number on the fence post/gate as one of our house members arrived in the dark and couldnât see the entry to the driveway.
What a view! So good we spent most of our time lounging about on the ridiculously comfy lounge by the fire admiring the gorgeous view. Reading, red wine, exploring the property and baking up a storm in the amazing kitchen was a great week of school holidays for the two families. Literally everything you need is here and, when we did venture, into town, it was well worth a wander too!
Recently renovated this house was perfect for our group of 10 adults. Beautifully situated overlooking a valley a few km out of town it was the perfect winter getaway. The fire and air-conditioning made it very cosy and the house was very well equipped for a large group. The beds were comfy and having 3 bathrooms was convenient. It would be a lovely location in spring too.
Hi there was 9 of us ladies.the house was wonderful we all had our own beds and no short supply of bathrooms the living space was fabulous so much room would highly recommended this place for anyone looking for a great holiday with friends.Dee
We all had the best stay at this beautiful property Absolutely stunning had everything we needed for our weekend away, very comfortable ,clean close to town we will definitely be back and would highly recommend this property to others .
Clean and comfortable and only a few minutes drive from the heart of Bridgetown, this home is well fitted out with everything you need for a relaxing break. As a family of eight (two married couples, two single ladies, and two teenagers) there were sufficient bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. The kitchen was very well appointed and it was entertaining to watch the antics of the resident sheep in the orchard from the deck each day. All in all a wonderful break and would happily stay there again.
