This was our first stay in Carmel Valley, and what a treat this cabin is. Best spot is the outdoor patio. We were outside enjoying the canyons when two eagles soared about 10 feet over our head, wow! The cabin is located in a very quiet neighborhood but the village full of shops and restaurants is within walking distance. The host Rachelle is very friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this cabin, itâs a ten out of ten!
The location was great for day trips to Monterey, Pacific Grove and Big Sur. The house was clean and well equipped in the kitchen. We had two problems during our stay--a large oak on the property fell on a day we were luckily gone, very close to the house. We came back to workers and chain saws. The back yard was not usable by us or our dogs for the next days and nights of our visit, which had been a major reason we chose this property. Then our last night the power went completely out. We waited to call until the next morning and used flashlights, but none of the phone contacts replied to phone calls or texts. Just by luck a tenant came out to his car and was able to help us locate the fuse box and flip the breaker. The owner apologized for the inconvenience about the fallen tree, but did not respond about the power outage and made no offer to discount our stay.
The rustic cabin is so much better than the photos, very cute and roomy. We loved cooking in the kitchen and barbequeing on the deck-great grill. Most of our time in the afternoon, we spent on the deck. A lot of shade and a wonderful breeze. Everything was clean and well stocked! Just a short walk was a nice, inexpensive Mexican restaurant. We hope to visit this rustic cabin again!
The property was very clean. It was just as described a very cozy cabin. We also had our dogs with us and the side yard was perfect for them to go out when they needed. We really enjoyed this trip. Thank you so much.
My two teens and I had a great time staying here! Location is beautiful, the space was just right for us & our puppy. We also liked the proximity to Carmel & Monterey. We would absolutely stay here again!
Rachelle's little cabin is so warm and comfy we had no problem feeling at home! It was raining most of our stay but we still had the best time staying in and making a nice warm fire. Thank you for sharing your home - we've made some great memories there!
Great visit to Carmel Valley! Great restaurants, wine tasting, friendly people. Will come again. Accommodations were great - spacious living room with good sized kitchen. Quiet neighborhood and not too far to walk to village area.
We loved the cozy little cabin. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The bed was super comfortable. The dogs liked the backyard to run around in. Lots of treasures in town, the delightful walkable bakery and cute tasting rooms.
We had such a lovely time celebrating my husbandâs birthday while staying at this cute cabin! The bed was so comfortable, and the sofa & loveseat were comfy tooâperfect for lounging around. This property has a cozy cabin feel, but still has all the necessities of home; it was the perfect way to relax before and after exploring the beautiful surrounding areas. Also, our pup enjoyed several walks around the neighborhood as well as running around in the fenced backyard. Finally, the owner Rachelle was so helpful and kind before and during our stay, answering questions and providing helpful information.
We would definitely stay here again!
We had a wonderful stay!!! The cabin is very clean and had a lot of small details that made it just lovely to stay in. It had everything we needed and then some. Carmel valley village is lovely with a lot of delicious wine and food as well. Perfect getaway for a few days.
I just love this area. Been coming for over 20 years. Rachelleâs cabin is the perfect place to stay. Had everything we needed for our stay. Super comfortable. Also celebrated my grandsonâs 15th birthday. So many memories.
It was wonderful! So cozy and our fur baby loved the deck and fenced yard.
The weather was perfect and Carmel Valley is so beautiful, great little shops, restaurants too!
Hope to visit again soon!
Wonderful cozy cabin within walking distance to wine tasting and restaurants. Kitchen was well equipped and appreciated the convenience and availability of the washer & dryer. Rachelle was a wonderful host she was quick to respond when needed and a pleasure to speak with. Overall great stay and would surely come back.
The property was very nice and rustic. The cabin was easy to find. It was clean on the inside and had all of the items needed for our stay. The area was very quiet and the scenery was beautiful! If you had no plans on driving then this place is great. Everything you need is within a half mile walking distance (restaurants, markets, wine tastings, etc). The host was extremely nice and communicated well. We definitely would stay again if we come back to the area.
It definitely has a rustic cabin vibe. The cabin was clean. Everything was in proper working order. Lightning was more on the dimmer side. The cabin was extremely quiet and peaceful. Rachelle was a great host â very attentive. My only suggestion would to change the bathroom shower head. The fixed position makes it difficult in washing/rinsing oneself off.

The stay was very nice and comfortable. We loved all the amenities and decor. A lot of thought and care was put into this cozy cabin for guests to enjoy. We liked that it was pet friendly and the dogs enjoyed the freedom of the yard.
This is a wonderful cozy cabinâŠquiet, comfortable and very relaxing. Rachelle was delightful to deal with and always got right back to us and the cabin was clean and well equipped.
Will definitely stay there again.
Thank you Rachelle!
Cozy cabin walking distance to wine, coffee, and food!
My cousin and I spent 3 days and 2 nights in this cozy little mountain-themed cabin. Cool if Tahoe is your thing đ»
We were stoked that it was dog friendly and had a fenced yard. The outdoor patio area was nice but the yard could use a little love. It also has a house in case you need to wash off your beach mutt.
The place had a full kitchen too so it was easy to enjoy meals at home. And itâs a good thing we brought food because most of the town closes down on Tuesdays.
House can easily accommodate two couples that are willing to share a small bathroom. Back bedroom was a little stuffy and floral smelling, but fine after airing it out. We hope to be back!
Local business owner, passionate traveler and animal lover. Fascinated with meeting people from all over and looking forward to meeting you and opening up my cozy retreat for your enjoyment to make your time on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula memorable.
Creating this cabin retreat was a fun project and a quest for me. I drew inspiration from travels to wild places and I strove to bring beautiful elements of the outdoors and nature inside.
A cabin atmosphere in an exquisite area of California. Perfect for those who love wine tasting, as there are 11 wine tasting rooms within walking distance, as well as only a 20 minute ride to Carmel By the Sea, and only 30 minutes to Monterey's Cannery Row, Pebble Beach and other Monterey Peninsula attractions.
