This property had just what we needed for our weekend in Ocean Pines/Ocean City. The home was clean, and Nathalie was an excellent communicator before and during our trip. I grew up vacationing in one of the original homes of Ocean Pines, and Nathalieâs place had just what we needed.
We've stayed in OC the last 4 years always in ocean pines. We absolutely love this neighborhood. Everyone is always so welcoming and its so close to everything. However this home is in severe need of TLC. The pictures used on VRBO are not up to date. When we first arrived to the house the smell was terrible. It smelled like a abandoned home? Very stagnant air. We tried to open the windows but unfortunelty none of them would open so we had to leave the front door open to the get the smell out. Just like the other reviews there are quite a few bugs but we did not mind them since we are in a heavily wooded area in the middle of July. The tvs constanlty went out due to the wifi. We did like the fact that there is a washer and dryer but the fridge was full of expired food from at least 2023. Also many random nails sticking out? I had my 4 year old son and nephew with me so not the best for boys who love to run. Could be a cute home if it was updated. I definitely feel like the price does not match the quality of the home.
We were quite disappointed with the state of the home from the start. There were two (what appeared to be) abandoned cars full of trash in the driveway when we pulled in, but apparently these belong to the owner. There were two cameras inside the home, that the owner said were not on (but we covered with towels anyway). Cupboard doors and drawers were falling apart. The toilet didn't work. The bedroom window wouldn't close. There is a spotlight in back that shines directly into the bedroom. A large screw sticks out of the wall as a door stop. The shelves in the fridge weren't attached. Grill a disgusting mess without any tools to clean or use. Large wood in the backyard with huge screws sticking out. Lots of small to medium issues that could be rectified with a small amount of actual effort by the owner. Cannot recommend.
The house was as described and a dream to stay in.
We had the best time and coming home to this house was nice and relaxing. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The experience we were looking for, we did not want to deal with a noisy hotel and troubles finding a parking spot.
Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Needed a place that aloud dogs and roomy for family. Served its purpose fine enough. Quiet for dogs. And easy walking areas. Nervous about white carpet with the woodies terrain and the dogs. But taking shoes off at the door was the rule so made it easier.
First time staying in Ocean Pines. Great area. Convenient to Ocean City. House was easy to find. Clean, comfortable. Has all basic items needed - dishes, pots, pans, linens, pantry items. Outside is a wooded area with lots of shade, but does have sunshine peeking through. Would definitely stay again. Owner was very attentive. She checked on us to make sure we had what we needed & gave us ideas of local attractions.
Thanks Nathalie!
Though the property needs some TLC it served its purpose. Natalie was a complete angel and was so wonderful to work with and was readily available to help when you needed her. Hopefully if the property gets some upgrades and some minor fixes we will return in the future!!
We rented this place for a short get away. It is in a cute neighborhood about 15 from Assateague and 20 min from Ocean City. There are a few pools near by that you have to pay to get in and close at 6. Kind of a bummer. The house itself is in need of lots of TLC. As others have mentioned there were ants and spiders in the kitchen. The shower handle is just about falling off and door knob to the one bedroom. Most noticeable was the SMELL. It knocked us over as we walked in. It was like a really strong old musty odor. We tried airing the place out while we were there. Our belongings and car stink the whole ride home. Was a shame because we couldnât really relax while we were there and ended up finding places to hang out after days on the beach.
There were a few hiccups w/ the property, but Nathalie really went out of her way to make it an enjoyable stay. She was very responsive and eager to assist.
The property itself needed some updating, as it wasn't the Ritz Carlton, but it was good enough for what it was meant for.
Customer service made all the difference, and turned an okay rental into a very good one.
OK for what we did - mostly read with some day trips - but I don't know what families would do except go elsewhere in the day. There are several mechanical problems in the house such as the sliding door (to get to the grill) is extremely difficult to open and the lights kept going off when we used the microwave. The primary attraction was that we could take the dog. But it was too expensive for what we got out it.
Ocean pines is great place to stay. Quiet property & the owner was responsive. Local swimming pools very nice. Nathalie recommended the yacht club for dinner & that was also very good with lovely views. However, the house needs some repairs. The hot & cold water in master sink was reversed. Faucets in both bathroom sinks & showers are loose with poor water pressure in showers & the kitchen sink faucet drips. Sliding doors were very difficult to open/close & required a daily squirt of WD-40 b/c the rollers are seized. Cable/wifi was out for 3 days. This was clearly not the owners fault & Nathalie was very responsive. The plugs in the house are loose. We bought hand towels & wash clothes b/c there werenât enough to go round our party of 5. We also bought a non-stick frying pan that we âdonatedâ to the kitchen. The existing one was very worn. With some updates this could be much nicer. Overall, the price was reasonable for this property.
We had a wonderful time, it's a quiet place, near to all we needed, couple minutes from ocean city which was great, I highly recommend this place and the owner was very nice đ
We had a great time in Ocean City as usual. The house was very nice and as described. I would recommend this rental to anyone that wants to stay in the area.
Great for a long weekend with the family, place was clean, had the essentials and the owner was extremely nice and available for any issues/concerns (but we had none)!
We visited for our 35th anniversary and had a great time. The house is well appointed and comfortable. Comfy beds, lots of kitchen gadgets (even a bean grinder for coffee snobs like us who like fresh beans every morning), a shady deck to enjoy morning coffee, cable and WiFi and a quiet neighborhood. A little slice of heaven at the beach. â€ïž
