We enjoyed staying here!! It was the perfect location to every important place we needed to go! Every night we were able to enjoyed a local orquesta playing from the window in the living room. We highly recommend the location
Outstanding location. Able to walk to all the sites we wanted to see. We walked to the Dromo, David and the Ponte Vecchio. We also visited the Ufisi museum. The viewing of the square. was outstanding from our third-floor apartment
Everything was great except the internet keep on dropping, also the dryer made the whole house go dark, you had to go downstairs and reset the switch. Other than that, the host was extremely nice, very helpful, the views were amazing to piazza Della signoria. Love it
Perfect location. All the comforts you could hope for.
Location AND comfort. You donât have to settle with this apartment. The living space is fantastic with a front window with a 3rd story view of the Piazza della Signoria in the heart of the city of Florence. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Showering is a bit snug, and using bathroom with tub required holding a wand to shower, however water was warm and good pressure. Kitchen well appointed, plenty of dishes, espresso machine, washing machine and dishwasher. Master bedroom very good size, no tv. Extra room with two twin beds was small and had a TV. Apartment was clean and had plenty of ambient light and airflow with the windows open. Elevator in the building was welcome, especially for luggage and groceries. Many options for lunch, dinner, gelato and coffee nearby. Good responsiveness from management company. Every attraction was within a short walk, especially the Uffizi, Duomo, and Ponte Vecchio. I would absolutely recommend and would stay here again if I was to return to Florence.
I could not have picked a better location. The view of the piazza was unbeatable, and we loved people watching from the window. Within walking distance of everything. The host was gracious and allowed us to check in a little early. This place really made our stay in Florence special.
If you want to be in the middle of everything, this is the place. Our stay was sensational. A beautiful apartment looking out onto the main square of Florence. I cannot imagine a better place to stay-easy walking to the river, museums, shopping, restaurants- my wife was just floored! We are ready for another stay. You will love it!!!
Piazza della Signoria apartment could not be better located
If you're looking for an authentic Florence experience this Piazza della Signoria apartment could not be better located. We dropped our rental car off and walked the tight stone streets for about 15 minutes arriving in the Piazza where we met the housekeeper. She showed us upstairs and walked us through the house rules and details (including Florences' tendency to trip circuits when too many appliances are running) with a friendly and welcoming demeanor. This ornate apartment had plenty of space for our family of 4 and the view overlooking the piazza is amazing. This spot makes Florence extremely accessible requiring only a 5 minute walk to either the Duomo or the Ponte Vecchio while overlooking the Uffizi museum with its statues and fountains outside. We had eaten out a lot on this vacation (we checked in on day 6 of a 10 day trip) and welcomed the opportunity to cook. As with any new spot, it took us a while to work out the idiosyncrasies of the apartment and the kitchen but upon return from one of the local markets, we were able to comfortably cook a couple of meals for the family. We checked out and walked to the train station where we took a train to Venice but we will remember this apartment for its ideal location, unique space and real Firenze feel.
Host was responsive to text messages but did not fix a minor problem which kept the master bedroom door from closing. It was not a big deal for us, but could have been for a couple who wanted more privacy. The apartment is charming and had everything that we needed. The location is literally in the heart of historic Florence, overlooking a major Plaza. The Plaza is noisy and full of life, which was exciting for our six day stay and the windows were very high quality and kept the noise very low when closed. Opening the windows and letting in the sounds of Florence was exciting. The bedrooms are in the back and are quiet. We slept well. Overall this place is pretty great for a few days to a week. If I were staying for an extended period I might want a less busy location. But for a week or less I think this was a fun and great location. The elevator was a great help with bringing up bags and groceries and as a way to skip the steps at the end of a long day. This place is definitely pretty great. Don't hesitate to rent it.
We stayed for a week. The apartment location was central to everything in one of the popular piazzas in the city. Unfortunately there were a few issues such as the shower being so tiny it was hard to even turn around (smaller than a cruise ship shower), no toilet seat on the toilet in the first bathroom, and the screens on the windows were broken/torn. This was important because we couldnât turn the air conditioner on due to the dates we stayed and the laws in Florence which meant we had to keep the windows open for any kind of air or cool breeze. This let bugs, perhaps mosquitoes, in at night. The restaurants on the piazza right below our windows stayed open late so it was quite noisy. Also the street behind the apartment which the bedroom faced was also very noisy late into the night until about 2am. So not a great location if you are looking for peace and quiet in the late evenings. Also we noticed the taxi app wont accept pick ups at that location even if we tried to make them during the day and with proper notice. Great food and markets in the area and of course the museums are all very close.
I returned to Florence for the 4th time with two adult daughters. We always try to stay in the historical district, second time near the Uffizzi. The apartment was immaculate, communication with Vivian was great..she always responded very quickly... only a couple of issues: for a 2 bath apartment only one 1/4 filled hand soap so we purchased another..in one bath maybe only 1/2 container of bath gel, the other bathroom had a very small container of shampoo I used as bath gel...we stayed 7 days so I felt they should have been more generous and I mentioned this to them as well.. the other issue lies with VRBO who we rented through..the apartment was advertised as suitable for 4 people, we were 3 but we were charged for an extra guest..VRBO said the charge could be removed by owner, owner said no...read your contract carefully... I think it's ridiculous to be charged the additional fee..it seems any number over 2 is considered extra and you pay 10$(?) per day for each person
The pictures and description does not do this justice. You are literally on the town Square within walking distance to every major historical site. The hosts were fantastic.
There was a phenomenal grocery store just across the bridge. It had everything you needed to make meals but in reality, youâll eat out most every time. It was fantastic to enjoy a bottle of wine sitting in the dining room overlooking the square.
This lovely apartment was the perfectly located home base for touring Florence! We were able to walk to/from the train station, and the Duomo, Uffizi, Gallerie Del Accademia, and Ponte Vecchio were easy walks from the apartment. The view of the Piazza della Signoria from this third apartment was amazing, and we were grateful for the little elevator to carry our luggage up the stairs. Overall, a clean, charming and convenient apartment!
We enjoyed staying in the Piazza with its gorgeous views, bustling with activity during the day, and beautiful calm in wee hours of morning. The apartment itself is spacious but has a number of steps up and down, which could be an issue if someone has mobility issues. Shower is tiny, but there is a bathtub as well. Itâs a great location!
The good: great location, large flat. The bad: getting into the apartment was a pain, as we werenât initially told even what floor it was on. Someone eventually showed up and let us in, but she spoke no English, so communication was difficult. As soon we walked in, it was impossible not to notice an overpowering smell of animal urine throughout, which was puzzling since it had hard floors. The air conditioning in the living area was broken (blowing hot air) and the inside temperature was in excess of 27 degrees C / 80 degrees F. I spent the entire first day/evening texting with the host, who promised a repair person. This fell through twice, we missed a reserved dinner, etc. After one night and a morning of this, we decided to cut our losses and go to a hotel, as weâd already lost one day of our 4-day stay in Florence. VRBO promised to get us a partial refund and said weâd be getting a call from a department that would help us find alternative accommodations⊠and thatâs the last we ever heard from VRBO (this happened two weeks ago).
