Lovely stay for family from 6 months to 89

The property is huge, with 23 of us staying, there was ample room for us all to eat together, at in the living room and loads of bedrooms including an accessible ground floor bedroom which we needed. The family style bedrooms really suited us with small kids in tow. Garden and location is absolutely beautiful and the hot tub is a lovely addition. The property is a little dated in terms of decor but it suited us space wise and we had absolutely everything we needed. We had a fabulous weekend getting together, thank you Rosena!

Perfect house for a family gathering

Our family has a reunion of 13 people and we all had a wonderful time staying at the priory. It is so spacious and comfortable - almost all the rooms are en suite, there are big rooms for all to gather to eat or play games or socialize, as well as spaces for folks to have quiet time. The garden is large and perfect for outdoor games. The hot tub is well maintained and was well used! There are fields where one can walk nearby. The rooms were cozy and quiet (did not hear each other, nor the folks staying in buildings elsewhere on the property - everyone slept well and felt so rested and renewed after our weekend there. The owner is a very gracious and welcoming host. One thing we really liked was the *well supplied* kitchen - there were lots of dishes, cups, mugs, silverware, cooking dishes etc.. Even with a large group that was eating throughout the day, we did not have to worry about doing constant dishes to keep up with our meals. There were also two high chairs so the one year old could be well taken care of. We give it our highest recommendation and have all agreed that we will use this site again for our family gatherings!

Great for a fun family weekend

We were a group of 15 adults and 7 children, with ages ranging from 1 to 73. We had a wonderful time - the property is well proportioned and spacious, and we feel that even if the weather had meant we couldn’t make the most of the enormous garden, we would still have had a lovely stay. As luck would have it, the weather was fantastic so we spent most of our waking hours outside. Lots of room for football, tag and generally tiring out the kids, as well as fantastic outdoor furniture for Al fresco dining. Rosena was great - she explained everything very clearly on arrival and made sure we knew how to reach her if needed. We are hoping to return!

Very friendly and helpful owners. Huge cottage with lots of space and rooms for all with a very well equipped kitchen. The New COVID Rules re stripping of the bedding and check-in/check-out times was probably the worse and most annoying elements of the place. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We chose this accommodation to house our family of 20, ages ranging from mid 70's to 2 years.

We chose this accommodation to house our family of 20, ages ranging from mid 70's to 2 years.. 7 children and 13 adults.. 4 generations, under one roof... what we hadn't realised when booking the property, is that both the brown brick and the white building is the Duvale Priory, there was so much room! It was easy to get away from each other, it was comfortable enough to all be in the same big room together, and it was a really lovely time. Rosena was very friendly and really accommodating, allowing us a paddling pool, which was placed near the BBQ area, ensuring the children could be watched by the men, whilst cooking the food, whilst we ladies lounged in the hot tub :) .. the outside space was as impressive as the inside.. and yes, if You lived there, you could do this, and you would do that, as other reviews have stated, but for us... this was a fantastic week away as a family, topped of by a marriage proposal for my youngest daughter. Perfect! - Thank you everyone involved in cleaning and maintaining such a pleasant holiday destination. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Had a fabulous weekend break here with the family did not venture out much as it was all about quality time this house was perfect for this spending time playing games and pool and using hot tub : Rosena ensured are stay was perfect thank you ❤️

Nice friendly welcome from the owner who was very helpful. Property was excellent for our family of 16 as we were attending a local family wedding. The property is spacious, very well equipped and very comfortable.
