It is Grade ll listed and dates back to the 16th century. A spacious holiday cottage comfortably sleeping 12 people, this 4-star accommodation has been tastefully restored and offers a wealth of period features, including exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces.



Approached through a private, walled patio garden (a lovely area with a built-in BBQ for meals and drinks with stunning views of the Avill Valley), the entrance porch leads into the main hallway. The well-fitted kitchen has a Bosch dishwasher, and a breakfast bar with 4 stools. The oak-floored living room has a massive inglenook fireplace with a wood burner, a 40" Sony Bravia TV with Freesat HD, DVD Player, Amazon Echo with unlimited music and comfortable seating. The dining room (seating up to 16) with its polished hardwood floor and inglenook offers a perfect setting for that special celebration meal. Leading off the hallway is a sitting room or ‘snug’ with a second TV, alongside a utility room and separate toilet. The twin bedroom downstairs has an en-suite shower room and overlooks the fields. Upstairs, there are a further 5 bedrooms (2 doubles and 3 twins), a family bathroom with shower and another shower room. 3 hair dryers are provided for guests use.



Duddings Country Cottages has a wealth of on-site facilities to keep you entertained all year round and no matter the weather! Enjoy the on-site indoor heated pool and spa bath, which has changing and shower facilities. The pool and Spa bath are heated via a wood chip biomass boiler. The games room with pool table, table tennis table, table football and table football, also has a 3-seater sofa and 2 armchairs and is a great place to relax, or watch the kids playing! On-site are the Shetland ponies, Zag & Zebedee who can usually be found grazing in the pony field and Dixie, Ziggy & Zippy in another field.

Kids will love Gate Lodge Play Centre, a 2-story playhouse with swings, a slide, a fireman’s pole and assault course to clamber over. Great fun for smaller children, with a table and bench nearby so that the adults can stay close by and watch. Also on-site is a hard tennis court, operating on a ‘turn up and play’ system, with racquets and balls are available to borrow. There is also a large Trampoline with protective barrier netting, and a football net situated in the ‘play paddock’ where guests can play cricket or badminton, fly kites etc. Please keep dogs on a lead in this area. As well as all this, there are also 9 acres of land to explore, with picnic areas and a river where you may spot a brown trout (if the heron hasn’t got them all!).
