VILLA MEZZALUNA est une charmante maison de campagne située à 5 km du centre-ville historique.

La villa (300 m² - 310 m²) est située au cœur de la région de Langhe - Roero, réputée dans le monde entier pour ses vins DOCG de grande qualité tels que Barolo, Barbaresco et Roero Arneis.

La Villa Mezzaluna est une vaste maison de campagne de la fin du XIXe siècle, restaurée dans le respect de la plus pure tradition piémontaise et capable d'accueillir jusqu'à 10 personnes..

- 4 merveilleuses chambres climatisées: deux salles de bain spacieuses, deux salles de bain et deux salles de bain.

- Climatisation indépendante dans les 4 chambres.

Villa Mezzaluna) Le rez-de-chaussée est dominé par une grande et exclusive cuisine entièrement équipée de 60 m², caractérisée par sa fenêtre en demi-lune panoramique. Une table en bois antique pour 10 personnes, un four historique et fonctionnel.
Chambre intelligente avec sièges confortables et télévision par satellite Smart 55 '(avec lecteur DVD); salle de bain complète et machine à laver, évier, matériel de repassage, congélateur, chaussures).

Au premier étage, il y a 4 chambres climatisées: 3 chambres doubles, 2 d'entre elles avec double fenêtre française et balcon dédié, et la quatrième chambre avec 2 lits superposés (200 x 90 cm). Toutes les chambres sont spacieuses avec des meubles de bon goût, une grande armoire et de grandes fenêtres ouvertes.
Complétez la suite de 2 chambres avec deux lavabos au premier étage, l’une avec baignoire et l’autre avec douche,

Le sol est recouvert de meubles anciens et de lustres.

La Villa Mezzaluna dispose de 2 espaces extérieurs: la cour et la piscine.
La cour est caractérisée par une eau particulière et une grande table en pierre de granit. Avec la pergola, il est possible de prendre son repas ou de faire un barbecue avec un parfum intense de raisin.
Un jardin privé avec un jardin privé (4 x 11 mètres, 120-220 cm de profondeur et ouvert de mi-mai à mi-septembre).
La piscine comprend une douche extérieure, l'équipement de solarium et toute la zone est bien éclairée la nuit.

However, seeing a rating of 8/10 with the comment that the Langhe region is "somewhat uninspiring" is genuinely heartbreaking for us. You are in one of the most beautiful regions not only in Italy but in the world, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. There are countless inspiring experiences to be had here, you just need to know how to seize them.

A very good place to be

We spend short but very good holidays. Alba is a georgous small town. House is big enough for 8 adults, with all commodities. Location is also great inside wineyards with a very relaxing atmosphere. Thanks to Mrs Vittorio for the welcome and nice advices.

Great Spot to get around the different villages. Longe furniture needs a bit of an update, grounds around the pool are not 5 star at the moment either. Vitti was great in providing some local bars and restaurants.

Great Spot, hard mattresses!

Fantastic Villa close to Alba, Bra and more. The location was absolutely perfect, the Villa was nice, the pool was great. My only issue was very stiff mattresses and under average pillows and linens. This place could be 5 stars, very easily, but it just is not. A little attention to detail could take this place to the next level.

Thanks for going into details. The mattresses were quite soft and we put them firmer recently to please the majority of guests. The sheets are washed and sanitized at each change, in white cotton and not synthetic. For the cushions we will also check the spare ones if there were any to replace. We on our part and in any case would have appreciated greater consideration of the house rules, also explained by Vittoria during check-in, as regards the separate wastes and the inappropriate use of A/C in the rooms

Great but more disclusre

The place was wonderful and perfect for our stay. Our only surprise was learning upon arrival that heat was extra. It would have been good to know in advance since it was turning cold while we were there. Just put in the description so we know.

Hi Mark, thank you for your feedback. I apologize for the misunderstanding even if it was mentioned in the VRBO description (Rules of the house section) that the gas for the heating was NOT included. In the past it was included but unfortunately I had some guests that set the heating regulation on 30°C (86°F) with a big economic and environmental impact. Please consider that from September 2022 a photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof in order to make Villa Mezzaluna completely sustainable and environmental friendly.

Great stay!

My husband and I stayed at the villa for two weeks and it was fabulous! We wanted to experience the food and wine of Piedmont and the location could not have been better. Everywhere we wanted to go was within 20 minutes. To begin with, we were greeted by the property manager Vittoria. She was the best! She was extremely welcoming and while she was always immediately available to us, she respected our privacy. She truly seemed to care about our comfort and happiness. Then there’s Roberto. He lives next door and takes care of the beautiful pool. Most mornings he would leave us a container of fresh figs from his tree! We were also able, with Victoria’s help, to hire him to drive us when we wanted to fully indulge in wine with dinner! As for the villa, it did not disappoint. It was immaculate, all of the furniture was comfortable and it was quiet and private. And the pool was glorious! If you are looking for a place to stay in this area, I highly recommend this property! And I must add that the best pizza was at Gusto Madre in Alba!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the area is beautiful and peaceful, the villa is spacious, comfortable and reasonably well-equipped with a lovely pool, though some of the kitchen utensils have seen better days. Vittoria was very kind and helpful and suggested lots of lovely restaurants for us to try. My only criticism is that it is very expensive for what you actually get, the villa is semi-detached, and the garden and pool are across the road, although I did know this from the property description, it is quiet only leading to other houses, with a few cars and tractors using it. I was very surprised to find that on arrival only 3 beds were made up, we were a party of 6 and wanted to use all the beds, which is why I booked a larger villa. Vittoria was slightly reluctant to let us have more sheets and towels at first, though it was all sorted out quickly. Having paid to book the whole villa, I did not expect sheets and towels to be rationed, as the price we paid would have been the same for 10 guests anyway. I have a holiday let myself and always provide linen for the beds, whether or not the house is full, people don't always want to share a bed! However, I would like to reiterate we really enjoyed our week, and had great fun playing table football.

disappointing property, terrible guest service.. avoid

Beware if you are considering this property, the only thing that stands out is the quality of the photographer :) What you don’t see on the pictures transforms what is sold as a family-friendly house into a disappointing property: - The pool is actually not on the house property. It’s across a road, down 50 steps. Not quite kids friendly. - The patio (only outdoor sitting area) is more of a parking lot with a table tucked away in a corner, with what used to be a vine-covered pergola. Not idyllic for an aperitivo… - And the BBQ? try to find it on the pictures… But what makes this property a no-go is the terrible guest experience. A couple of example: - Two kids got hurt on large bolts sticking out on the pool deck (where the broken plunge board used to be). Clearly a hazard, which we reported. Only to be told that it was our fault to let the kids run there (really?!) - Internet was down for 3 days. Maybe they should have checked it before check in, maybe not. But being lied to by the villa manager about what has been done to fix the problem is unacceptable. Quick side note on getting connected, there is also little to no phone coverage.. the house not really ‘on this hills’, but more ‘between the hills’. - Upon check out, the owner even accused us to have stolen pillows and towels. Seriously :) In summary, not what it looks like, and made worse by a snooty attitude… but the food and wine in the region are absolutely great, Langhe is a great destination for a short trip!

Dear Stephane, I am truly sorry, not so much for the negative review, unique among all the other positive feedback we’ve received, but because your words reflect a great deal of rudeness and frustration. I am sorry for your frustration and for your inability to relax and enjoy a pleasant vacation at Villa Mezzaluna, something that all our other guests have managed to do, as evidenced by their positive reviews. Out of respect for the entire team at Villa Mezzaluna, who work tirelessly to make our guests’ holidays unforgettable, I feel compelled to clarify that everything in our house is thoroughly detailed and described in the listing on the website, especially the distinction between the pool garden and the courtyard. Typically, the separate pool garden is highly appreciated by families with children, as it allows for better control over their movements. It is disheartening that, instead of enjoying your vacation, you spent your entire stay attempting to accuse us, sometimes even illegally, of negligence (by removing safety protections that prevented children from getting hurt) in an effort to obtain a refund. This has been carefully documented and proven, including to VRBO. It is true that there was an issue with the Wi-Fi, but we resolved it by the first working day. This is something that can happen anywhere, especially after the massive storm that struck the area the week before your arrival. While we apologize for the Wi-Fi issue, this does not give you permission to treat our house manager with rudeness and disrespect. Vittoria informed us that you were extremely discourteous, speaking to her irreverently, and even resorting to verbal and physical aggression. Such behavior is not tolerated at Villa Mezzaluna. Furthermore, you vacationed with 9 people (4 adults and 5 children), while the booking was made for only 7 (2 adults and 5 children), committing fraud not only against us but also against VRBO. Several items were stolen from the house (sofa cushions, pool towels, etc.), and you left the property without any checkout process with the house manager, leaving the refrigerator/freezer wide open, all lights and air conditioning on, showing no respect for the environment or the property. I am saddened to see that there are still such rude and disrespectful people traveling the world today. I wish you greater peace of mind in the future. Best regards,

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à la villa Mezzaluna. La maison, très grande, avait toutes les infrastructures nécessaires et la piscine était magnifique. Nous aurions juste souhaité que la pergola soit plus ombragée, le soleil tapait déjà fort à 9h.

Très agréable séjour dans le Langhe - Monferrato

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette villa. La localité Scaparoni est très tranquille. La maison est idéale pour 8 personnes. La cuisine est très grande et suffisamment équipée. Les chambres et les salles de bains sont spacieuses et disposent de nombreux rangements. La table extérieure située sous la pergola es parfaite pour le petit déjeuner, déjeuner et dîner. Le jardin privé avec une piscine de belles dimensions a été bien appréciée surtout avec de forte chaleur ! Nous avons été très bien accueilli, l'entretien de la piscine fût efficace et discret. Nous avons été très contents de notre séjour et recommandons cette location.

Semestervecka i Villa Mezzaluna

Vi bodde tre par i Villa Mezzaluna i en vecka. Bostaden var ordentligt städad vid ankomst och incheckning/utcheckning/kontakt med husvärd har varit väldigt smidig. Poolområdet även det rent och fint, och poolen städades regelbundet under vår vistelse vilket uppskattades. Kök välutrustat och uteplatsen under pergolan mysig. Villan ligger bra beläget i närheten av både Alba och La Morra m.m. Rekommenderar detta boende!

Family getaway for the Anual Truffel fest in Alba 2019

The Villa was lovely and we enjoyed our stay very much. The views are spectacular. Daniele was fantastic and her House manager Vitoria was very pleasant. Thank you so much. We will return.

Big Space for a Group

The property is just outside of town in a small village. Beautiful to walk around and enjoy the sounds of rural life. The home is big. The massive table in the large kitchen was where we gathered...not the living room. Large, comfortable bedrooms and baths aplenty to support the number of guests. Highly recommend. If new to the area, get suggestions for places/towns to visit nearby from the property manager.

Gepflegtes Haus mit Stil

Sehr gepflegtes und gut unterhaltenes Haus mit geschmack- und stilvoller Einrichtung. Wunderschöner und v.a. grosser Swimmingpool. Gute Lage in der Nähe der schönen Dörfer des Piemonts. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Beautiful villa just outside Alba

My wife, our 5 year old son and my sister spent a blissful week in Villa Mezzaluna. The house is tastefully decorated, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the swimming pool and the garden are an oasis of peace and very well maintained. The kitchen is very large and well equipped. The house is very solid and quiet. Location is perfect: Alba is 10 minutes away and Turin about an hour. There is a large branch of Eataly, also about 10 minutes away in Monticello My wife and I wanted to play tennis and we were able every day to book a court located 5 minutes away, also in Monticello. Corneliano d'Alba is another charming village nearby. Vittoria, who looks after the property, was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We all enjoyed the stay very much and would definitely consider coming back: we have been renting a property in Italy through HomeAway for the last 4 years and this is the best so far. Few minor complaints. There are no waste baskets in the bathroom which we found a bit odd. The fridge is a bit small for the house if it is fully occupied; perhaps a second fridge could be installed in the laundry room. The a/c in one of the bedroom and the adjoining kids' bedroom makes a regular, audible noise; we got used to it in the end, but it is something that should be fixed. Highly recommended!

Stilvolles Landhaus mit Privatpool

Luxuriös ausgestattete Villa im Landhausstil ideal zum Verweilen, gemeinsamen Kochen, relaxen am Pool oder dem anliegenden riesengroßen Garten. Ruhe tanken , in den umliegenden Wein- und Haselnussbergen Spazierengehen oder im 100 m entfernten Ristorante Scaparoni piemonteser Köstlixhkeiten genießen. An diesem Ort ist für jeden etwas dabei . Idealer Standort für Ausflüge in die umliegenden, traumhaft gelegenen Weinorte wie Barolo, die Labdschaft der Langhe oder Arneo. Die Stadt Alba ( wunderbare Einkaufsmöglichkeiten) ist 10 Minuten Autofahrt entfernt. Man wird durch die nicht am Ort wohnende Besitzerin sowie deren Unterstützer hervorragend betreut. Immer gerne wieder. Kleinere Nachteile, wie dass man zum Pool über eine kleine Straße gehen muss ( Sackgasse, so gut wie kein Verkehr) fallen nicht ins Gewicht. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ideal.

Great house and pool in beautiful landscape

We, two families of 10 people, had the pleasure to spend a week in this lovely house. We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, the house which has great place for 10 people. The house has a pool and the pool area is beautifully placed in a fenced garden with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. All in all a great experience.

Spacious house with nice pool area

Spacious house with large bedrooms. We were 3 families sharing the house one week in July and we could all have our separate bathrooms wich was appreciated. Bedrooms were large. Very nice kitchen with lots of room for all of us. Nice dining area outside were the grown ups could enjoy a glass of wine when kids had gone to bed. Nice pool area that was cleaned daily.

Beautiful House in the Hills

We were a Big family of 11 People spending our summer vacation in Scarparone. The area is beautiful and the House Big, tastefully furnished and clean! Everything went very easy with the host and the communication was good through out our stay. The pool is just across the small Road outside the House which was good for us because we could controll when the children was there! We also visited the agriturismo next door for dinner and had a great experience!! And only 10 minutes by car to Alba:-)

Serene and beautiful!

We're back in San Francisco, CA and we long for the serenity and beauty of Villa Mezzaluna. It's the perfect place for anyone wishing to get away from the chaos of daily life. The villa is located in a rural setting with lovely vineyard views and nestled among a handful of homes that make up the hamlet of Scaparone. Tastefully furnished with antiques, every room of the home reflects the refined elegance of Daniela, the owner. Her hospitable cousin Roberto lives in the villa next door and was available for any needs whatsoever while respecting our privacy. The villa is meticulously maintained. Its shuttered windows and balconies add to the charm and allow filtered sunshine into each room. The bathrooms are spacious, the bedrooms are comfortable. The kitchen is definitely the heart of the home with its large farm table around which we shared meals and lots of laughter. The pool is the focus of an enormous lawn covered knoll dotted with pines, fruit trees and flowers. It's absolutely amazing with plenty of lounge chairs where you can enjoy poolside cocktails or snacks. It is wise to note that the numerous steps leading to the pool area could be challenging for the elderly and that it is located across the quiet road from the villa's front door. It is enclosed by a gate for security and privacy. It was wonderful to discover that Eataly, the gourmet supermarket is only a few miles away in Monticello. Next door to Villa Mezzaluna is a delightful trattoria where we enjoyed breakfast and late suppers served in a lively garden setting. The center of Alba is a short car ride away and well worth the the visit for fabulous shopping and dining. We loved Villa Mezzaluna and can't wait to go back!
