Dear Tina, we are happy that you and your group fully enjoyed your stay in our prpoerty and the UNESCO world heritage site landscape of the Alta Langa. This peaceful rural area truly offers a feast for all senses not only visually and culinary. wise. In 10 to 20 minutes drive you can easily reach at least 15 different, beautiful small medieval villages which all have their own typical Piedmontese restaurant. We always send a large list of restaurants, Pizzerias and Trattorias which we recommend to our guests. We hope you tried a few of those and liked them as much as we do. The main grocery shop in our village offers all you need if you prefer walking there in no more than15 minutes. Alternatively in 10 driving minutes you can reach the next big supermarket with a much more elaborate selection of Italian delicacies. I always forward a list with grocery shop recommendations to our guests. The local pasta shop is opened and doesn't plan to close in the next years. Maybe you just ran into their closing times. Italy has very specific opening times. Normally in the mornings between 9 and 12 and then only again after 4 o'clock in the afternoon, but till 8 pm. This information is also included in our guest welcome booklet. But it is a timing to which we also needed to get used to. The bar/trattoria and the pizzeria in our village are open and welcoming all of our guests. The restaurant in the marketplace has a change over. So the new owner might only reopen it in a few weeks. Sorry for that. We are very happy that you found good alternatives and most of all appreciated our highly recommended caterers, who create the best meals at the property and if desired including vine tasting. We are very happy that you fully enjoyed your stay. The next Italian grocery store and alternatively the fresh pasta deli in the village are 3 minutes away by car or 20 minutes by walking. And yes, the next bigger food market is about 12 minutes drive to the neighbouring village. We fully understand that you loved Ann and Joseph’s cooking at the house. They are amazing. Thank you very much for the wonderful review of your late autumn vacation in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage sight, the famous Langhe Hills. It’s that time of the year, the truffle season, when the foggy views over valleys in the morning or evenings make you appreciate even more the cozy fireplaces in the house. Alongside the ride on the hilly roads you can now watch the harvesting of the delicious Nebbiolo grape. La Nebbia - The fog. Try a glass of “red liquid fog“ in the evening while indulging in one of the many hill towns’ restaurants. Dear Sophia, we are more than happy that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay at our historic Villa from the 16th century. Ann and Joseph told me that you plan to return next summer and we are more than happy to host you again. The large pool is always heated to 23 degrees from May till beginning of October without extra charges as explained on the website. Normally June till beginning of September the heating isn’t even needed due to lots of sunshine and an average pool temperature of 28 degrees. Each single room in the villa has moskito nets at 2 windows so that the cool night air can circulate. But some rooms have 4-5 windows. We hope this helps you understand our thoughts on this project. We are happy that you liked the little town as much as we do. Perfect walking distance and delicious Pizza. Let me help you understand VRBO’s booking procedure as they announce it on the website for our property. 7 people are included in the basic rent. Additional guests pay a well announced additional guest fee. VRBO charges a change fee if you change the guest numbers as they need to adjust the booking. As you changed the dates and guest numbers several times the VRBO fee accumulated. This is something I, the owner of the villa, can’t influence. From owner side we even refunded you the usual owner changing fees. We hope very much this helped you understand the booking procedure. Looking forward to welcoming you next summer!
