Great Location

Quiet, but convenient location - 15-20m walk to everywhere, including train station. Very large apt with plenty of space for 7 of us. Additional lighting in entryway off street would be helpful when entering apt in evening. Would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Petra Elegant. The location was perfect close to restaurants, shopping, the Ponte Vecchio and many of the beautiful sites Florence has to offer. The apartment was well taken care of clean and very comfortable for the six of us.

Petra elegant

There were 7 adults and the apartment provided space so that at the end of a long day of walking we could all find a spot to relax and reflect. The description of the apartment is 100% accurate and checking in was a breeze. We had a grocery store just around the corner and restaurants within 2 blocks.

The first thing you should know is that they charge tax per person after you book the place, which is not mentioned in the listing and only appears once the booking is completed, and they charge you in cash once you check in.The house had no essentials—not even extra toilet paper. The coffee maker didn’t work properly, and there was nothing elegant or comfortable about the place at all. The bed sheets didn’t fit the mattresses correctly, the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, and they only provided one towel per person. Additionally, the owner controls the heating remotely. Overall, it felt too cheap to be considered anything close to a "elegant" stay.

As advertised, a beautiful apartment right in the heart of Florence. Great location to be close to all the sights, but away from the busy tourist areas. More than enough space for our family of five. Would highly recommend!

Overall we had a great stay. The best parts were probably the location and the amount of space- we have teenagers including an exchange student, so separate beds and rooms was important. Easy walking to great parts of the city.Two downsides- one mentioned as reassurance, and the other as something that could be improved, but hopefully unlikely to happen again- 1. When we got there the cleaners were just leaving, so it was quite clean, but had a strong smell. Open windows made that all better, so if that's your experience, have no fear!2. The other issue was that the stove wasn't working when we arrived, and a maintenance person needed to be called. We were told he would arrive in 30-60 min but it took 90. We were also told we needed to be there to give permission for doing the work. Having just arrived in Florence, it wasn't ideal to be tethered to the apartment for that period of time. It was finally established we could go out (having made dinner reservations that were now coming up) and just give the managers the permission to be passed on to the worker. So that was a little frustrating, and meant that we had someone unknown in the apartment while we weren't there (but our belongings were).The managing company did a very good job of communicaiton before we arrived- almost too good in that there were multiple ways to reach them- the vrbo messaging, plus 2 numbers on WhatsApp- it was sometimes unclear which to use.

Easy to find, walkable from the train (though a bit ambitious at 25 minutes with luggage). Host communicated well and space was large and clean. Walked to everything in Florence. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about this property. It is huge and really lovely. The ceilings are so high you feel like you’re staying at a palace. The floor plan is open to accommodate groups comfortably but also gives enough areas to hide away when you need a break. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location and comfort

I stayed for 12 nights with 2 other adults and 3 children.The place is comfortable, roomy and everything works. The location is wonderful. It is in a less crowded area than many but close enough to walk everywhere. There are restaurants and a grocery store steps away. The furnishings are not luxurious, but comfortable, clean and there is room for everyone. One bed (single room) had a mattress that was super hard and not so comfy. That would be my only complaint and some may like it.The air conditioning worked very well.We loved it!

Fantastic Florence Accommodations

Perfect for our family of six. The apartment was extremely comfortable and beautiful and in a great location. The kitchen was great, we cooked our own Christmas dinner. Overall it met and exceeded our expectations. The Christmas decorations were very much appreciated !!

Lovely apartment

Wonderful, spacious property, full of character, giving us plenty of room for our party of 7. The location is fantastic, in a vibrant but not overly busy local neighbourhood with plenty of nearby bars and restaurants. It is also a short walk over a bridge to the busy centre of Florence, so therefore it’s also a comfortable place to get back to quickly when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Would definitely stay there again.
