Situé au cœur du centre-ville St. John, Cet appartement entièrement meublé a été construit à la fin des années 1800 et a beaucoup restant charme et de caractère. Complet avec laveuse / sécheuse, serviettes, couvertures, vaisselle, wifi, et télévision par câble. Venez vous détendre et profiter.

Juste pâtés de maisons du quartier du centre-ville qui possède de nombreux restaurants, pubs et autres divertissements, des commerces et des activités culturelles.

Le salon du rez-de-chaussée donne également accès à un jardin à l'arrière pour se détendre ou faire un barbecue. Tout est accessible et situé au rez-de-chaussée, à l'exception de la salle de bain qui se trouve en bas d'un escalier, ce qui peut être important pour toutes les personnes à mobilité réduite.

Perfect location

We spent 4 great nights in this immaculate jelly bean home with every amenity you need including a bbq. The bed was large and comfy, towels were thick and fluffy and the kitchen was fully stocked with dishware etc including some spices. The washing machine and dryer came in handy. There was always a spot for parking and the home is close to everything in the area. The bathroom is in the basement; being in our 70's, we had no problem but something for others to consider. Instructions from the owner were detailed and greatly appreciated. All in all, a wonderful place to call home for a short or longer stay.

St Johns 2024

We stayed in a lovely suite. Owners stayed true to the period of the building but added modern amenities. Close to downtown but the hill back and forth was a tough one. Lol!! Overall very pleased with our VRBO rental.

Terrific spacious flat for a couple. Comfortable. Charming. Location is walking distance to downtown and George St. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed the George St. Music festival. Parking is on street but a pass is provided.

Great location

Great location, spacious, private outdoor area Bathroom in basement with low ceilings (too low if 6' tall) was a bad surprise. Basement smelled musty. No air condidioning and only one fan, so had to keep the bedroom window open all night and the bedroom is right on Prescott St. so traffic and seagulls woke us each morning.

Downtown St. John’s

Overall it was a nice property, clean, great location. But having the bathroom in the basement was not convenient or advertised. And there were many steps and levels so it felt like an obstacle course. Also, we went through a lot of hoops to get the wifi which should have been provided. The VRBO ap was only in French. So overall, good, but many irritations .

Location, location, location!

This property gets an A+ for location. Situated centrally on historic Prescott St., it is close to many of the sites and attractions everyone comes to St. John's to see: The Rooms, St. John the Baptist Basilica, Water and Duckworth streets, St. John's harbour, and more. The property itself is a heritage "jellybean" style property with many original design appointments which has been sub-divided to create two apartments, and this unit is at street-level. The property is well-maintained, with an open concept sleeping and living area. The kitchen is very functional, fully supplied, and is separated from the rest of the apartment by about an 8" step. There is also a minor step from the hallway into the kitchen area. As seniors who often find ourselves needing the bathroom during the night, the location of the washroom downstairs was a little inconvenient, but the facilities themselves are quite acceptable. In our view, this property would be perfect for an active younger (than us) couple, but we managed well enough. I should also mention that the host - Nick - was always just a text message away, and responded quickly and helpfully to our questions.

Very enjoyable. Stepping into this historic apt. Was breath taking. The apt is set up like home, you immediately fall in love with it….you have a smile on your face. It was very clean, and we had the pleasure of meeting Nick and Kate , who are amazing hosts and full of information about things to do in St.John. We will share our positive experience to who ever asks us about our trip

Charming home, great location

Staying in a jellybean house was on our wish-list for my first trip to St. John’s. This charming home, main floor + lower level (where the washroom is), was well-equipped with a full kitchen, laundry, and a lovely backyard with string lights (nice touch!). And excellent coffee (important!). Exploring the neighbourhood was fun (we learned o zig-zag!) and downtown/harbour are a close walk away.

Great Location!

This apartment was all that it said it would be. It was within walking distance to shops, restaurants and the harbour. It was clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were easy to get a hold of. Check in instructions were great. I would also like to thank the hosts very much for accommodating our schedule.

Low Overall Rating Due To Musty/Mold Odor Throughout Apartment

On arrival, the first thing we noticed was that the entire apartment was consumed by an overwhelming musty/moldy smell. It seemed that this was coming from the basement/bathroom area. The backyard of unit also had the very same odor. We wondered if it is due to dampness. We hoped by airing the unit out, this would help, but didn’t feel safe leaving windows open when we weren’t there, or while sleeping. We stayed Friday evening and Saturday. Airing when we could, did not help. The smell was horrible, the entire time we were there. It really negatively impacted our time and actually triggered an allergic reaction for me that I am still dealing with, days later. The unit itself is in an excellent location to downtown, and has lots of potential; yet isn’t as it could be. On one hand, the kitchen has a gleaming new marble floor and all updated appliances, but the furnishings like the couch, bed, bedding, and towels– are old, and worn. The floors were sticky and the area rugs are very dirty. It was noisy at night and difficult to sleep due to people passing by on the street, the bedroom right at the sidewalk, as well as we could hear the people upstairs walking about and up and down there stairs, into the early morning hours. The property owner in all communications prior to this, was prompt, helpful, and very friendly. Unfortunately when I contacted him after our stay with my concern about the air quality in the unit, he didn’t respond.

The location was excellent. The suite was as described but we found the bed terribly uncomfortable. A new mattress and box spring would likely remedy this issue.
