Nice little home with everything we needed plus some! They had beach toys, chairs, boogie boards, a cooler and most importantly a nice beach wagon to carry everything. They also provided the paper towels, coffee filters, garbage bags, dish soap, handsoap, shampoo, conditioner and toilet paper. A nice deck on the back made mornings with our coffee very relaxing.
Had a few mishaps while at the cottage but nothing is prefect and our hostess was attentive to our needs. Loved sitting at the big dining table playing games. Wonderful restaurants and bars nearby
We loved this cute, comfortable, and cozy house. Very clean. Very bright. Nice towels and linens and super comfy beds. But, our favorite part of the property were the high, beamed ceilings and the outdoor deck. The deck is surrounded by foliage that softens the sounds of the highway. Perfect spot to sit, have a cup of coffee, and chat.
I took my daughter and a few of her friends for a short little getaway before going off to college. This house was clean and spacious while I am not sure I would call two of the room bedrooms. They were separate spaces for sleeping. There were several cots available that could also be used. There were several amenities available at this house, including two bikes, kickboards, DVDs, and a wagon. The outdoor area was very spacious and had a nice fire pit with chairs. If you were hoping to fix meals during your stay note that only the basics are available. There are some pots and pans, plates, and utensils. There is no dishwasher so I would bring paper plates and utensils as you rely upon people who came before you to have washed the dishes that they used. There are great restaurants nearby. It is true that you could walk to the shops, restaurants and beach. However, this house is located on a busy street with no sidewalks. I chose not to walk but my teenage daughters did several times. I think it would be difficult for a family with children to walk to the beach. The beach is a little further than the town with shops. If you drive to the beach, beware parking near the beach costs 10.50 for three hours. There is some free public parking near downtown but not near the beach. Overall, this was a nice house that was clean and spacious.
The house was great for a long weekend. The yard is big enough to play lawn games and itâs a short walk to downtown.
P.S. donât use the downstairs air conditioner if you stay here in the summer⊠it leaks and the floor is carpet.
Well stocked and clean. Power went out our last night and it was in the 90's that day. I was a little surprised that none of the windows would open for ventilation. There are plenty of fans provided but some air would of helped. Overall a great place and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
We had a great stay! Thanks for all the quick responses. Only comments are there arenât 3 bedroomsâŠ. There are three rooms with beds but we made it work.
The property was ok. Decent location. Several issues during a 1 night stay. Water on bathroom floor and wet carpet outside bathroom door. Toenail clippings on carpet. Shower pressure wasn't great and tub held water. Shower broke after 2nd use and 3 of us weren't able to shower. No discount was offered even though all issues were immediately reported to property owner. Management did come out and inspected water on carpet and bathroom floor. Toenail clippings weren't addressed and didn't respond before check-out about broken shower. Extremely disappointed.
No issues at all, great area, and the yard was perfect for my three young boys to play in during the evening!!!! The house was great!!! Wished we could have stayed longer!!!
We had a great time in New Buffalo the weekend of April 2nd to celebrate my wifeâs birthday with some of our friends. Hit all of the fun spots in town: Beer Church, Caseyâs, Ghost Isle, etc.
Home was perfect for the 4 of us that stayed overnight. Good location and in the middle of everything. Locations are walkable but located on a major traffic thoroughfare so I donât recommend, especially at night.
If you are looking for a short one night or two night stay I would recommend. House was very clean.
The property was fine for a shorter stay. Not really comfortable, but I could see it being a great crash-pad for Summer months. It was a little dingy, the furniture was not comfortable, and the kitchen was woefully under-stocked. It is also located on a very busy highway. Fine enough for our stay, but we would likely choose different accommodations in New Buffalo in the future.
This property was purchased for the purpose of deigning a surf house in the New Buffalo, Michigan. Surf houses like Auggie's Surf House exist all up the East Coast, California Coast, Hawaii, and Australia. But there wasn't one in the Third Coast. I wanted to give my customers a real surfing experience whether they surf or simply enjoy the surf and beach decor.
This property is unique in that it is in town yet offers private woods in the back. It is a large property equipped with an outdoor shower - large deck - fire pit. The inside is decorated for beach and surfing enthusiasts. Sure anyone can rent a house by a beach. This house was designed to give the customer a beach house and more. What's also great about this property is that you can drive up and park your car and leave it until it's time to leave New Buffalo. Walk to beach during day with provided surf boards and boogie boards. Stop by Third Coast Surf Shop and pick up some surf apparel. Hang out at the surf house after. Do some grilling on the deck. Then, at night, head out on foot to popular places like Redamacks, Stray Dog, and Buffalo Bills Bar-B-Q and more.
The unique benefits to Auggie's Surf House in addition to all the amenities like deck, outdoor shower, fire pit, DVDs, books, grill, hammocks, is the feeling you will get when your there. You will feel like your part of something special. Your not just staying in a hotel room or house. You really feel like your on vacation.
