Ce chalet simple et abordable situé dans les bois, près du lac Michigan, a beaucoup à offrir avec une salle de bain rénovée de trois quarts.
Imaginez-vous passer la journée à la détente sur la plage privée de l’association, puis rentrez chez vous pour faire griller des hamburgers sur le pont privé. Après le dîner, vous retournerez à la plage pour admirer le magnifique coucher de soleil avant de retourner à la façon de faire griller des guimauves dans le foyer du patio.

Le chalet est situé à seulement dix minutes de Michigan City et des nombreuses attractions qu’il offre. Si vous aimez faire du shopping, le centre commercial de Lighthouse Place est parfait pour vous. Les enfants de tous âges apprécieront le zoo de Washington Park ou le musée Hot Rod. Tout au long de l'été, il existe de nombreuses zones de baies locales dans lesquelles vous pouvez cueillir vos propres baies.

Very relaxing

We had a wonderful stay. The owner provided great communication and gave good restaurant recommendations. The house was comfortable and the neighborhood was friendly and quiet. The use of the golf cart to get to the private beach was great.

The cottage was quaint but perfectly met the needs for our family of 5. We loved that we could take the golf cart to access to a private beach area. The home was so peaceful and we enjoyed watching deer graze in the mornings and evenings. We would definitely enjoy staying again!

Exceeded expectations

Super cozy cute well appointed house. The location in variety of activities around the neighborhood were way beyond our expectations. Walking to the private beach and the area were huge bonuses. This is a really cool community with interesting architecture and beautiful wooded streets to walk. I really liked the area. In the proximity to all the great parks around there.

Great location!

Wonderful, quiet neighborhood in walking distance to the beach, and easy driving distance to Indiana Dunes State and National parks. Owners have plenty of items on hand if needed, such as beach items, a dog crate if you are traveling with your fur baby, and even a high chair if you are traveling with a small child. There is also a golf cart for your use! Cute shops and great places to eat in downtown New Buffalo. Lots of outdoor seating at the house, including a grill and a firepit.

Best kept secret in the woods

Planned this trip for my Hubby's birthday and anniversary. It was absolutely perfect. Close to the beach everything we wanted to do in the area. The house was very cute and clean. Very quiet neighborhood and everyone we met were very friendly. Property manager was very helpful and also very friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here. I will be booking next year for sure!

Wonderful weekend vacay

The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and basic items. Extra blankets and a pack n play was really helpful! The golf cart was so much fun and we absolutely loved the private beach, catching the sunset of course for our last night. Lovely area with so much to offer. We hopw to return soon!

Wonderful stay

Had a wonderful stay at this beach cottage. The peaceful wooded setting was ideal for sitting on the deck reading and watching the deer. The beach is so close and easy to get to. Rachel is a great host and very communicative. Would for sure stay again.

Vacation's all I ever wanted 🎶

I had an absolutely WONDERFUL stay with my girls, brother and dog. We had everything needed and more to enjoy ourselves. As a single mom, this was the first BEACH vacation I was able to give my family. We made wonderful memories to last a lifetime. I think our favorite part was driving the golf cart down to the beach every day. We hope to make this our annual summer trip, truly couldn't have had a better time. The host, Rachel is so quick and helpful with any questions or concerns we had during our stay. The property is gorgeous, we woke up to twin baby deer every morning!

Birthday Getaway

This location was PERFECT to celebrate my son’s 22nd birthday. It was so relaxing and the amenities were amazing! The owners of this home did not short you from anything. If I had 1 complaint it would be the bed in the first bedroom on the right needs to be replaced or upgraded! Also the cushions on ALL lawn furniture needs to be replaced, they were all to dirty, musty and moldy to sit on from being under the trees. I would suggest a storage for the cushions and get out as needed .

This house needs a better cleaning service, cobwebs on the lights, terrible musty smell throughout the house. One bedroom smelled like cigarette smoke. Beds aren't the best. We had 2 rainy mornings and there was nothing there for kids to do, a few board games or a deck of cards would be a nice touch. Directions for beach parking were confusing.

A special place we love to come to. Please never close.

This is my 3rd time staying here. It is definitely a cabin in the woods. Love the deer coming so close. The golf cart is wonderful. Main reason we love it. Neighbors are great and very confortable. Clean as well. I couldnt figure out the coffee machine. It wasnt hot, but im used to a keurig. See ya next year.

Overall, the cottage was great. The beds were very uncomfortable/ stiff. The small couch was also not comfortable. We were happy to find plenty of kitchen appliances available. However, the waffle maker had old waffles in it. Sadly, the golf cart was unavailable to use. We would love to visit again in the future and do recommend it.

Lots of steps.

We just didn't realize the number of steps to get in or to go down to beach! Beautiful woodsy setting. Saw deer every day. Would suggest a thorough cleaning. It was unfortunate that it was rainy and cold. Would have spent more time just hanging out on the deck.

3 night stay with poor weather

We had some bad weather while there - which ended up with losing electricity in the entire neighborhood 11:30pm - ~1pm the next day. Had trouble locating flashlights, candles and lighter at 11:30pm (in an unknown place!) It was rainy and overcast for alot of the 1st day and most of the 2nd. Good thing is the temperature was pleasant (so didnt need AC) and we were able to go into Michiana for coffee and bowling. There were plenty of towels, water-toys (lifejackets), hot water, the kitchen was fully stocked. Golf cart was super great to use to get to the private beach (rocky shore). We ate in New Buffalo every night (Brewsters (reservation), Stray Dog, & Caseys AND would walk around before & after dinner down to the public beach (which my kids loved so much).

Zero access to outside world.

Overall we had a great stay. I would like to point out that this home is truly in the woods! The home does not have wifi (she never stated that it did) and we had ZERO cell phone service including data. I was unable to send texts to reassure family or communicate with someone in the home while I was out. 😕 It made it very difficult to plan things like train time departures, temp outside, googling closest grocery store, etc. If u are wanting to unplug and get away from the outside world this place is for you. I just wanted the next person to be aware. The shower off the main hall shouldn't even be considered a shower. Bathtub only. There was zero water pressure in that shower. We all took turns and showered in the other shower. The place was very clean and tidy. The kitchen was fully stocked. There was plenty of chairs and toys for the water. We also used the grill ( becareful the lid about falls off when u open it) and used the forpit. Overall this was a nice place and the owner was very kind and helpful.

Great location near the beach

We stayed here two years ago and had a great time, so we came back. This is a nice location on a wooded lot within walking distance to the beach. The house is clean and has plenty of room for our family of four.

I am a retired school teacher who loves spending time with my family and playing the harp. I have two sons and two grandchildren.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This is a family cottage that my husband built when my boys were little. When they were growing up we spent a lot of our summers here, and now that they are both grown they enjoy bringing their families on vacation here. Our family is renting this property now because we have decided to share our favorite vacation spot with others. We chose this location because of its proximity to the city of Chicago and the many area attractions.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The thing we like most about this property is that there is always something to do for all ages. On beautiful sunny days, we enjoy the beach, while on rainy or gloomy days we enjoy the shopping, museums, and local theaters. Our cottage is located only a short drive from the train station that goes to Chicago, so a day trip is easy to do.
