I would not rent there again. The water did not work the first night. Had problems with the toilet all three nights. The bed listed as a double were two singles pushed together. There was a nice breakfast each morning and a maid who took out trash and made the bed. Despite seeing the property manger on check in and during the stay, he mentioned nothing of a daily ârestocking feeâ (separate from cleaning fee listed in add) and then demanded payment in cash on checkout.
Had a wonderful stay in our B & B in Piano! Hosts were so amazing, provided a great breakfast every morning, place was immaculate, and lovely terrace to enjoy meeting other guests. Would definitely stay here again. Easy to get around, and 3 min walk to train station to Sorrento to take see rest of Amalfi Coast!!! Loved our stay!
I loved this place so much, even though I was home sick at the end of our trip, I didn't want to leave. After a very stressful train ride from Naples to Piano, the owner greeted us on location and after seeing how tired and sweaty we were from our trip, he made us a nice glass of lemon water (best lemon water I've had in my life, seriously how did they do it!). After we rested for a few minutes, he took us to our room which we fell in love with immediately. The whole location is inside a beautiful garden and it felt like I was actually inside "The Secret Garden". It was right next to a sun roof which had an amazing view of the mountain and our room was cozy with a lovely bathroom. After staying at a previous location that didn't have hot water, this shower felt like heaven. The free breakfast every morning was amazing and there seemed to be a new item everyday. I actually looked forward to waking up early to get breakfast! It is very easy to get to Sorrento from this location because it is only a 5 minute walk from the local train station and just 2 stops from Sorrento. The property was in a quiet lovely location and the next time I'm in Italy, I will definitely be staying here again!
It was a nice quiet stay for my wife and I. Genarro was wonderful to welcome us and help us with our bags. Nice breakfast and coffee in the morning. Nice rooms with air conditioning/close to train a short walk
What a gem! So close to Sorrento without the expense.
We loved our secret hideaway. Who would have known what was awaiting behind the wall and door! Gennaro was very pleasant and helpful. He even carried our luggage up the stairs. The B &B starts on the 3rd floor with our room on the 4th floor. You must be able to climb stairs to stay there, but you must be able to walk in general for your tour of Italy. The location was excellent. It was only 2 stops away from Sorrento by the train. It cost less than âŹ1.50 to go to Sorrento from Piano. We arrived in Rome and took the high speed train to Naples where we transferred to the local train. It was only approximately a 5 min walk to the train from Secret Garden. A very direct walk. Gennaro even called us a taxi for a late night fancy excursion in Sorrento where we did not want to walk. The taxi driver even gave us his card for the return ride. He picked us back up within 5 minutes of calling him. Our room was very spacious and plenty of storage/closet space. I did request an additional pillow though. The bed is made and bathroom tidied every day. The breakfast was a wonderful variety of pastries, croissants, meats, cheese, yogurts, oranges, hard boiled eggs, cereal, juices. I may be forgetting some other things. We were even asked if we wanted an omelette. Gennaro made fresh espresso, cappuccino or Americano to order every day! At check in after our long travel, he even welcomed us with a delicious snack and water/coffee. There is a single use espresso machine available all day also. Around the corner is a delicious restaurant he recommended. No driving involved. Have your wine and walk safely home. We never felt unsafe in Piano. The Mercado is only open on Monday, so go there. It's only 2 blocks away. The tours we arranged were able to set up a pick up in Piano usually within a 10 minute walk of the Secret Garden. Such easy access to tour the Sorrento, Naples, Amalfi Coast area! If we ever go back, we would not hesitate staying again. Great value and great location!
We had a warm and courteous welcome from Gennaro. The place was an amazing old building surrounded by an agricultural garden beautifully kept. The lounge and breakfast room had antique furniture and art. Breakfast was varied and served with fresh coffee and tea. Our room had a view of the sea over gardens. Staff were friendly and helpful. Towels and sheets were changed regularly.
We would go back. It was good to be in Piano Di Sorrento, away from the crowds. It has an old Italian character and in easy reach of Sorrento by train or bus.
A short distance to the train station for easy access to many awaiting adventures. The grounds were beautiful and the staff knowledgeable and friendly. Our room was clean and spacious with daily housekeeping with fresh towels. The breakfast was the best we had in Italy offering a variety of items to choose from. Our only regret was not staying in Piano di Sorrento a bit longer to enjoy the town itself. If you have time, be sure to check out the beach, a mere 15 minute walk from the Secret Garden. Lastly, Le Tre Arcate restaurant a short walk (5 minutes) was our favourite spot to eat. Great selection and prices. We would definitely stay at the Secret Garden again. Thank you!
We had a fabulous stay at Secret Garden relais. From the moment we entered the gardens. The entrance to the house is beautiful and climbing the spiral stairs to the second floor where the B&B starts. We arrived later than expected but were able to contact Genaro by phone. The attic bedroom was large and clean with air conditioning. We had access the the roof top lounge area which has beautiful views of the sea and Vesuvius. Also a central area which you could use as well. The breakfast was continental with lots to eat and cappuccino served straight away. The Secret garden was a really good base for our travels as within 10 minutes from the train station. We visited Sorrento (2 stops) by train but you can also use the bus. Pompeii; amalfi coast; Positano; amalfi town; Naples; .boat trip around Capri organised by Genaro. A short walk down the quirky streets to the beach and a lovely bar overlooking the port of piano Di Sorrento. A short walk from secret garden up over takes you to the main square where there are a couple of restaurants but our favourite was on the Main Street where they serve fabulous fish and pasta and the prices are excellent. Also you get a real mix of locals and tourists. Overall brilliant holiday and would recommend.
Gennaro was very helpful and a pleasant host. He was able to guide me to the local transportation as well parking recommendations when I left my rental car behind. The breakfast was wonderful
La struttura Ăš molto bella e comoda e lâaccoglienza davvero garbata e premurosa. Tutti i componenti dello staff sono stati gentili e solleciti ed Ăš senzâaltro un posto in cui vorrĂČ tornare.
Genario, inn keeper, was the best.we were frazzled from traveling & he made us sandwiches along with his home made lemon cello & made us feel so at home! Great quiet spot!
