Tiny; but that is exactly how it is presented on the listing
Certainly the most comfortable bed i have slept in staying away from home.
It will be my first choice for the next time I stay there.
This is the second time we have stayed here for the Dartmouth Regatta, if we race next year we will be back.
I made a mistake with my booking but the owner was extremely understanding and we remain here for another lovely evening.
Small apartment but with every convenience. Easy free parking nearby and good access to ferry into Dartmouth.
Only negative was that bathroom was a bit cramped
My daughter snd I stayed for two nights at this delightful property. The ferry is close by, and it was very easy to find once weâd crossed over from Dartmouth. It was very, very quiet, which we loved and we heard beautiful birdsong in the mornings. Place is cute and cosy, and we had all the amenities we needed. A short walk away is a âgeneral â shop. And also within quick walking distance are two pubs with great food. The wee private garden was wonderful, as well. Would definitely come back!
This is described well. It is a bed sit but itâs lovely. Itâs very neat and tiny but it had everything I wanted. I took some recipe boxes with me and managed with minimal effort.
Unfortunately there was a storm all weekend but after an adventure on the lower ferry found some excellent coffee shops in Dartmouth, went for a run around the castle then hunkered down in the cosy bolthole and had the most relaxing weekend
Perfect location and ideal accommodation for our 5 day stay. Had everything we needed, even included toilet rolls, towels, cleaning equipment and teabags etc. Really clean and well kept. We would definitely stay at The Bolthole again.
Very welcoming greeting by Matt the owner. Very tastefully furnished, clean and comfortable studio. We used the nearby marina car park. All the beauty what Dartmouth offers you is on your doorstep. From beautiful river walks, good mix of shops, to nice eateries. Just perfect.
Beautifully presented but Very Small.... the shower room especially is not for the claustrophobic. I loved the toot & chuff of the steam railway situated adjacent, but might not be to everyone's taste. Pretty much all food/drink options are over in Dartmouth, so a ferry ride each way
Great location, 2 min walk from the lower ferry. Small property but cosy with all the appliances you should need and tastefully decorated. Matt was very helpful and responded to emails quickly. Thank you!
Matt made the whole process very easy, and we had a lovely few days exploring the area.
No view from inside the property... but then it never said it had one either !
Recommendations for eating out were spot on. Crackling log fire, good beer and food at the Steam Packet.
We couldnât have been more happy.
Great communication in advance from the owner meant that we found the property and parking really easily.
The Bolthole was even better than we expected. Set in a great location, it was spotlessly clean and had everything you need for a short break.
Highly recommended
Schönes kleines Apartment in Kschönes kleines Apartment ingswear
Schönes kleines Apartment mit teilweise Blick auf den Dart. Nett und gemĂŒtlich eingerichtet. Kleine KĂŒche mit allem was man braucht. Schöne Terrasse. Das Bad ist sehr klein. HĂ€tten wir uns etwas gröĂer gewĂŒnscht.
A very nice well appointed property and very cosy .
Very enjoyable stay at the bolthole .we did the stream train to paignton and also visited Torquay and Brixham. Had a lovely meal in the the steam packet on Saturday night. We were however expecting better from view of the river dart from the property.
It was very well appointed and was ok for our 3nights stay. Not sure we could have coped for a week. The bathroom is very small, my husband had to have the door open whenever he showered or shaved. He is 6' tall and found the doorways too low and cracked his head more then once. We did however enjoy our stay and loved Dartmouth.
I loved everything about this little place. From its location to all the little comfort touches provided on arrival. Matt was so quick to respond with any query both before and during my stay. I found the bathroom snall but its an extremely functional space. I found cooking in the kitchen area pretty easy. They also have all the utensils you could possibly need. All in all its a great use of space. You can utilise the street parking however it's restricted from 10-3pm. But as I was out every day it saved me the ÂŁ8 per day parking charge at the marina.
I'd definitely recommend it.
Cooking is possible but involves different bits of equipment. View is just visible from the terrace, which is a lovely place to sit in the evening sun. The step in the split level floor could do with a white edge to make it more obvious in half light. The whole place is lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable.
Really enjoyed our stay. The Bolthole has been very well designed to include everything you need for a short trip. The furnishings are of a very high quality and Matthew is quick to respond to any queries. Close to local pubs, the ferry and bus stops too. A little gem!
Nicely decorated, views from the courtyard garden over the river. Kingswear attractive town with two nice pubs and a quick ferry trip to Dartmouth. Free parking a short walk away along the creek. Helpful owners.
Hi, my wife and I bought the property in 2016 and previously lived in Dartmouth for several years but wanted to experience the lovely river views from Kingswear and the afternoon & evening sun! The Bolthole is separate to the main house has recently been developed specifically for people to enjoy where we live. We're more than happy to assist with any local knowledge and tips but rest assured if you don't want any contact then your stay will be very private while you're here, it's your home from home.
The central village location, some views of the river, short distance to all amenities and the enjoyable ferry trip to Dartmouth, plus we hope it's very comfy.
Walking distances to shops, restaurants, pubs, a theatre, a cinema, marinas, ferry trips, steam train, steam boat, coastal path, country walks, beaches are a short to name a few things.
