Spending a holiday in an ancient farmhouse in Tuscany is the perfect solution if you want to experience a relaxing stay, during which you will be able not only to visit great art heritage cities, but also to find out the beauty of a unique landscape, that is the Tuscan countryside with its rolling green hills, cypresses and stone country houses. Last summer, a new holiday home was created along the banks of the river Serchio: VILLA SUL FIUME. This is the perfect place to enjoy wonderful hikes discovering beautiful places and amazing views. This wonderful and luxurious stone country house is located in a quiet area and is surrounded by a huge Italian garden. Nevertheless, it is only a few steps away from the WALLS OF LUCCA (an easy 10 mins walk away). This farmhouse has been accurately refurbished, maintaining the charm of an ancient Tuscan country villa with its traditional raftered ceiling, terracotta flat tiles and stone walls. Additionally, VILLA SUL FIUME is characterized by a spacious and tastefully furnished living space.

The ground floor of VILLA SUL FIUME is characterized by a spacious hall with a guest bathroom. On the right, you can find a big kitchen and a fully equipped dining room with a TV. On the left, there is a spacious living room with a sofa and a huge fireplace.

The first floor is completely air-conditioned and each bedroom has its air conditioner unit. There are 3 king size master bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom. On this floor there are also two roomy bathrooms.

The porch of the farmhouse is divided into two different areas: the first one is located in front of the kitchen and has a dining table for 8 people, while the second one is just a relaxing area with a sofa, some armchairs and a table. This placing allows people to make maximum use of each house corner.

The garden of the farmhouse has a surface area of 10,000 square meters with an olive grove and a meadow with fruit trees, such as a walnut tree, a hazel tree, a peach tree, an apple tree and a pear tree. It’s the perfect place for families with children and allows to enjoy a wonderful and peaceful holiday surrounded by nature. Nevertheless, this farmhouse is just a few steps away from the historic center of Lucca.

The farmhouse has a wonderful swimming pool with an amazing view across the garden and a solarium area. The swimming pool, 10 x 5 meter, is located in front of the house and is surrounded by a relaxing area equipped with a gazebo. Absolutely suitable for romantic nights.

Perfect Place for a Family Vacation

Fabulous stay

We loved our stay in this beautiful house. Kitchen well stocked with herbs, oil, tea, coffee etc. Easy 20 mins walk to the walls. Great to have the pool during this very hot weather. Renate was very helpful. Netflix on the tv would have been helpful but that is a minor thing. Thank you and we would love to return.

Beautiful Property

Simon and Sara have done such a beautiful job of remodeling an old farmhouse with its original barn! The decor is updated and very pretty. The gardens are unbelievable, and very nicely kept. It is a wonderful home for a group. Beds are comfy, house is well stocked with amenities. Our group had a lovely week there.

Amazing Villa

The Villa was amazing! We recently stayed for 1 week and have no complaints about the Villa. The grounds are huge, much bigger than the photos suggest, but also secure and private which is perfect for children. Renate was a huge help with any questions before our arrival and was flexible with our flight delays. The whole group settled in quickly and the young children loved exploring. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

This was a beautiful Tuscan Villa. The house was clean and spacious and the grounds and swimming pool were absolutely stunning, and larger than we expected from the photos. Renate was extremely helpful and allowed us a flexible check in, which made a huge difference with young children. We would be thrilled to return and are already looking into availability for 2024. Overall an amazing family holiday in an incredible setting.

This was the find of the century.

The house was spacious. had lots of common ateas where everyone could gather and private spots as well. the yard and porch were just lovely and enjpyed walking into town every day. although we had cars, to go into Lucca they were not needed, but we went to Pisa, Livoria and a few wineries as well. Kust a fabulous trip

Beautiful Villa in a beautiful location

Everything was perfect. Communication before arrival and during our stay was excellent with helpful tips for places to see and do and also help to make check in and out as easy and simple as possible. It’s was a lovely family holiday, the house is perfect with so much space it’s an ideal place for a family holiday with extended family. The location was brilliant being only a 15 min walk to the centre of Lucca but also only a short drive to lovely hill top villages. We would definitely recommend the Villa, the location and Lucca apartments. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

Beautiful farmhouse with amazing gardens.

Property was every bit as good as the photographs. We were all impressed with the size of the house and spent most of our time in the huge gardens or around the kitchen dining table. A great house for socialising. Air con in each bedroom was good and 2 bathrooms were good also. Bedrooms could benefit from a full length mirror my daughter tells me. Overall I would highly recommend this property and would gladly return. A car is recommended if staying here. 20 minute walk to the walls of Lucca and the larger supermarkets.

Villa with beautiful garden

The highlight of the villa was the beautiful garden with lovely relaxing outside space.Even though it was October the children enjoyed using the pool area. Renate was a great host who was really helpful with restaurants, places to visit and the lay out of the house. She made the check in process fun even for the children! Villa was the ideal setting for a week in Lucca

The accommodations were perfect for three couples. The outdoor space was enjoyed every morning and evening. We hired local chefs, recommended by the management company, to prepare a homemade traditional Tuscan dinner in the beautiful kitchen. Dinner was served in the outside dining area. Highlight of our stay. The weather was extremely warm while we were there, the air conditioning in each bedroom was key to getting a good nights rest. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to spend time in and around Lucca. The pool did not seem to be working well when we arrived. Mid way through the week someone stopped by and said they forgot to turn the filter on.

Perfect for our family holiday!

Everything! Particularly enjoyed all our meals outdoors in the veranda, surrounded by beautiful garden. Peaceful location but not too far from Lucca old town. House is very comfortable and accommodation perfect for our family group. 2nd stay here and we're already talking about a return stay. Highly recommend. The issue with security deposits. Last year this was taken twice from our account. There was a problem with deposit removed from our account too early this year. Although promptly refunded when we pointed it out, we did incur bank charge.

Fantastisk vecka i underbar miljö

En vecka med våra vuxna barn som levde upp till våra förväntningar med råge. Boendet var precis den toscanska drömmen vi hoppades på. Långa dagar vid poolen. Härlig matlagning och långbordsmiddagar. Kort promenad in till Lucca och bar några mi uters promenad till det lokala samhället. Vi fick enskildhet och ändå närhet till restauranger och shopping. Naturen helt magisk. Våra varmaste rekommendationer.

sehr schön gelegenes Anwesen mit riesigem Garten und einer gemütlichen Pool Area. Das Haus bietet viel Platz (4 Erw +4 grössere Kinder) und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Küche praktisch und ausreichend ausgestattet, Zimmer geräumig und hell. Die Kommunikation war stets schnell und herzlich. Die Lage und die kurze Gehdistanz zu Lucca überzeugten uns ebenfalls. Wir können Villa Sul Fiume absolut empfehlen

We would not hesitate to book this house again

Enjoyed a full week in this house during second week of October. It was such a pleasure. The house is wonderful with great rooms and we made all our dinners in the huge kitchen. The pool was off course cold at this time but we still jumped in every day. Distance to Lucca is about 15 min. walk but what you get from staying a bit outside the walls of Lucca is more silent surroundings. The late afternoons on the terrace with mist and sun sets were amazing. The park was lit by outside lamps and looked just great.

Ein superschönes Domizil mit Pool !

Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet mit zwei Bädern und drei Toiletten. Der Pool ist ausschließlich für die Urlauber des Hauses vorgesehen. Wir konnten den Urlaub sehr genießen! Lucca ist in einer halben Stunde zu Fuß erreichbar. Für unsere Kochabende fehlten hier und da ein paar Küchenutensilien. Die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Ein perfekter Urlaub! ...bis auf die Toskana- Mücken ;) ...
