Beautiful house with everything & anything you could possibly need! The kitchen had anything a cook needs! The beds are comfortable & the kitchen & living room being open is awesome! Would definitely stay here again!
Excellent response from the owner and a very quiet, peaceful and quaint place to stay. Loved all the little details available. Things like the coffee machine and having the linens and towels were great. The instruction sheet left on paper form on the table was very helpful as well. The dock was great and the views were beautiful. Very nice little place to stay.
Had a great time staying here with our family! The pictures on the listing really don't do justice to how cute and cozy the inside of the property is. It's much more inviting than pictured. Very clean inside, nice furniture and comfortable and large bedrooms. This area of the lake is also really nice and peaceful. The only downside was the lack of oven. There is a toaster oven that works well. But if you are planning on making your kids a lot of frozen pizzas and such, that makes it tricky for easy dinners. Also the outside of the property could use some TLC. Great gazebo but most of the outdoor furniture is in rough shape. Also, lots of nails sticking up on the dock and my husband split his foot open pretty badly on one of them. So be careful being barefoot! Otherwise, had a wonderful stay and would come again!
I chose this location because of proximity to my Families other lake house, and because of the good reviews. This house has a great location. The home is VERY clean and well kept on the inside. The kitchen is fully stocked and the house has everything needed to make your stay comfortable. The outside of the home needs some attention. The set up is great but not usable without a little elbow grease of your own. The back deck is not relaxing or comfortable because it is so unkept. The yard is extremely overgrown and not well maintained. This is minor but to enter the home you have to access a lockbox with a key in it and with the different people (my grown children) coming and going it was hard to keep up with, and would have been much easier if it had a keypad entry like most rentals do. I will be renting this location again when we return to the area because it served my purposes for just a place to sleep and shower.
Everything was great, the only complaint I would have is the steepness of the hill to get to the boat ramp lots of stairs. But only because me and my fishing buddy are both in our mid-60s LOL
House is quaint and close to everything- covered boat dock was super convenient for fishing and boating the lake- House was very clean and owner was responsive to any questions
We stayed 4 nights of Memorial Day. Arrival/communication with host was great. Everything was as described. Feels like a cabin in the woods - lovely trees & privacy. The road noise was in another review, and we didn't think it would be an issue but it was distracting when cars with extra loud mufflers, or EMS drove by, which happened at least once daily. The campground is close &had DJ'd parties 2 nights, and that was loud until 11PM. There are plenty of clean linens inside the house, presumably whoever does the laundry is a smoker. The towels are old and mis-matched, which didn't bother us at all, but don't expect new, matched towels. There are mouse glue traps in the closets - and a few droppings. We did not see any additional evidence. There are plenty of dishes/cookware. We needed to run sivlerware through the dw, the wooden silverware caddy was a bit grimy. The back patio was not swept/blown in preparation of our arrival, which would have been nice. The seating outside is old and mismatched, which again didn't bother us, but don't expect new, matching patio furniture and cushions. There are 60 steps down to the lake, which are lit at night by plugging in rope lights, which was nice. The dock/boathouse are very nice for swimming, fishing and nice to be able to dock your boat right there. There is no oven- as described, but that was strange. You have to cook while here. Having the gas grill was great. We had a great time with our adult kids and would consider returning.
Property was peaceful and house was well supplied with all we needed. (we did miss our air fryer) We had a friend that was recovering form cancer come for a 2 night visit with his wife. The stairs down to the boat dock were a challenge for him, but after 2 days he said the exercise did him well. I will say the outlet under the bridge leading to the main lake was just big enough for our pontoon boat to fit through by 2 inches on each side. The boat launch at the marina has a cement pad that stops and drops off. Have the owner of the marina show you where it quits. My trailer dropped off the end and got bent trying to pull it out. The owner came and helped lift it up while I drove it out. If you don't have a boat, the stay at the lake house is well worth your trip. We would come again now better prepared for boating. The dock is great. Load your boat up at the launch to avoid too many trips up and down the stairs to the dock. Overall a pleasant stay.
Nice neighborhood but be sure to check an earth view of the home because it is very close to the main road which is LOUD and disturbs the peaceful nature of the property. Pros: well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Free access to a private dock with kayaks and supplies. AC works well. Beautiful view of a wooded lot and the lake from the back of the house. Convenient to amenities and places to visit.Cons: Road noise. House is quite outdated and needs lots of repairs. King bed and couch are very uncomfortable and need to be replaced. We had to take our own trash 5 miles away to a public dumpster location which was not clear in the instructions. If you run the dishwasher, plan to have NO hot water anytime soon. The home needs a good deep cleaning because it is very dusty and it's obvious the cleaning crew only does the basics.
We just wanted to get away for a few days . My husband lives to fish from the dock and I enjoy reading with the view of the lake. Itâs just quiet and we love it.
We stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend. The pictures do not do this property justice. Tucked away in a cul de sac, nestled in the trees, this home is in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. We enjoyed walking "The Girls" (our pups) along the streets of Fox Run where we encountered little traffic. The gazebo in the back of the property has beautiful views of the lake and we sat there in the afternoon with our wine. đ· Inside, the kitchen served our needs, the bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of extra blankets for the cold nights. Would consider staying here again!
Thank you so much for such a lovely and quick stay. Everything was just as described. The view is just beautiful and we loved all the amazing hangout areas throughout the property. One. Night was too short and we will definitely be back!
