Right Next to Les Halles
Damien and Celine were excellent hosts. Unfortunately there was a demonstration in Avignon the day we arrived which meant the local train station was closed and the old walled section of town was blocked from car traffic. Damien was so helpful by picking us up at the TGV train station, parking close to the walled section of town and leading us to the apartment. I don't know how we would have accomplished that without his help. And to top it off they gave a us bottle of Cotes du Rhone, which we drank and loved.
The apartment itself is located right next to Les Halles, which is one of the best things about Avignon and where we get most of our food when staying in town. The apartment was plenty of room for the 5 of us which included 4 adults and 1 child. The kitchen is large and had everything we needed including a dishwasher which we used a lot since we love to cook our own meals with the fresh ingredients provided by Les Halles. The clothes washer also worked well and we did 4 loads of laundry. There is no dryer which is typical in France, but the washer spins the clothes so well that they're only damp when they come out and dry quickly on the large rack. The water pressure in both showers was good too and always got all of the conditioner out of my hair. There is also a hairdryer provided - ladies you know this is important!
The apartment is walking distance to everything in town including Place de L'horloge, Palais des Papes, the water wheel, shopping, the cat cafe, bus stops, etc...
You will not regret staying here if you book. Thanks!
