This third-floor apartment was quiet and well-equipped. Loved being able to do a load of laundry mid-vacation while logging in to my own Netflix account after a long day of walking on cobblestones and absorbing cultural and historical learnings. Never met Antonio or Ilaria, who managed the communications, but received a ton of information via WhatsApp messaging. Remote check-in was exactly as Ilaria outlined it would be, and she was very responsive to any messages we sent. I liked that it was in the Oltrano, rather than in the thickest tourist section, which was a 10-15 minute walk away. It was convenient and a welcome reprieve from the throngs of people taking selfies.
3 adults is just right for this small but clean and air-conditioned apartment. Itâs a about 16-18 minutes walk from the old town attractions. The kitchen is very small and the stairs are very narrow and quite a climb. Never met the host, but they have remote control on all the doors. City tax collected after check in. 4âŹ/night/person.
This property is set in the Oltrarno area of Florence just inside the ancient western gate.
The first thing I want to say about this property is that the communication with the owners was outstanding and very caring which made the check- in process very comfortable and stress free.
The rooms would be comfortable for a couple and one other.
You may need to eat out the first night and there is a fabulous restaurant around the corner to the left and left again, called....Cambia I think. But you may need reservations. I did not have one, but they squeezed me in if i agreed to leave within an hour.
There is a grocery store an easy walk (about 3-4 blocks), it is busy and looked lined up at the till, but it went quickly. However there is a little one just across the street for a few quick supplies-or a beer or some wine.
You can walk to most of the main attractions from here and I recommend checking out the area south of Ponte Vecchio.
