Bienvenue à la Poipu Beach House. IG @poipubeachhouse. Une belle maison de plantation des années 1920 à quelques pas de la plage de Poipu. Cette maison est un joyau historique qui vous ramène dans le vieil Hawaï avec ses planchers en bois d'origine, ses semelles en pierre de lave et son mur de séparation de pierres de lave empilées sèches de plus de 100 ans.

Poipu Beach House est une base idéale pour votre escapade à Kauai. Que vous souhaitiez vous détendre dans la véranda couverte, profiter de l’aménagement paysager tropical dans la grande cour, écouter les vagues sur la véranda extérieure, profiter de la piscine privée et du barbecue dans la cour arrière isolée, préparer le dîner dans la cuisine entièrement équipée, Profitez d'une nuit à regarder des films ou tout simplement profiter du charme d'une vieille maison de plantation, la maison fournira cela et plus encore. La maison est située dans une petite rue calme à un pâté de maisons de la plage la plus proche. Le quartier a un mélange de résidents de longue date et de voyageurs. La maison a toutes les commodités pour votre séjour, y compris cuisine complète et accessoires, draps, serviettes de bain et de plage, savons, shampoings, laverie, lave-vaisselle, cafetière / moulin, wifi, télévision, câble, jouets pour enfants, planches à voile, planches à voile, jouets de sable, chaises de plage, parasols et plus.

La grande cour est bien entretenue avec des fleurs tropicales, des arbres et autres végétaux. Vous adorerez la passerelle de ceinture de verdure reliant l'arrière-cour à d'autres plages à proximité, nettoyant le sable de la douche extérieure, le bruit des vagues de l'océan et des alizés doux lorsque les couchers de soleil sur la Rive-Sud filtrent à travers les fenêtres aérées. Cette maison a 3 chambres à coucher, 2 salles de bain complètes, salle à manger et salon (avec canapé-lit), buanderie, porche couvert, A / C, câble et wifi. Cette maison pourra accueillir votre famille avec confort. À deux pas du célèbre parc ensoleillé de Poipu Beach Park et de la plage de Brennecke, vous pourrez pratiquer de nombreuses activités sur la plage et la mer, notamment le surf, le paddle-board, le bodyboard, la pêche et l'observation des baleines. We enjoyed our stay so much. The house is perfect. It’s larger than it looks. The front lanai was perfect for coffee in the am and when we had a torrential downpour it was fun to watch the rain from there. Our two grandsons loved the pool and hot tub and we loved being able to walk to puka dog, Poipu beach and park and get shave ice. Also the path to Kalapaki joes was awesome. Great food, drinks and music.

The hot tub was clean and hot enough. Laundry was useful for towels and bathing suits, (could use some dryer sheets). All the rooms were clean, one thing though was one of the rooms just had a ceiling fan but no AC. It was hot in the evenings for them. My daughter and her husband were in that room, I thought the entire house had it. everything else was as listed. We had a great time.

This beautiful beach house is our favorite place to stay in Kauai! It was our second time staying here and we’re already looking forward to visiting again! The location is perfect, walking distance to multiple beaches and trails. After swimming with the turtles and boogie boarding at Brennecke beach, we loved coming home to the pool and hot tub. Besides the backyard, our other favorite part of the house is the cozy sun porch where we enjoyed our morning coffee listening to the birds. Thanks Karl for sharing your wonderful home!

We were travelling with our adult children and their partners. Everyone thought the accommodations were fabulous. The property is located a block from the beach and is in a convenient location that optimizes the drive time to Waimea Canyon and the North Shore. The weather in the Poipu area was fabulous during our May stay. Each couple had access to their own bedroom and bathrooms (2 bedrooms have en-suites, and the third bedroom is adjacent to the hall bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with enough plates, glasses, and utensils. We brought frozen food from California and our own case of alcohol (to economize), and I was not lacking for any prepatory cooking pots, pans, or cooking utensils. The home is large enough with a dining and family room, a screened-in porch, multiple outdoor seating areas, and, of course, the pool, spa, and firepit area, so that each couple was able to find "alone" time at this property.Karl made the check-in process very easy, provided quick communication, and was attentive to our needs. A perfect host. We would love to return and highly recommend this property.

Wow we loved absolutely everything about this home!!!!!! Location is amazing close proximity to the sunny beaches of south shore like literally a 2 min walk. The home is inviting and Aloha style. The pool hot tub oasis is beautiful and so much fun! The sun room is so special. The beds so comfortable and love the art decor. The hosts are very responsive!! Mahalo and we will be back!!!

Great Home Base for Family Vacation

Great place for family getaway. We loved boogie boarding and snorkeling at the Poipu beaches. Also, enjoyed the local shops and restaurants. It was easy to get to the beach from the house. The house was well-stocked with amenities and kitchen/laundry items. And the pool was a nice bonus!

Great spot

This was a great rental, it’s so nice to just walk to the beaches and not deal with parking. The pool and hot tub were huge for the kids getting as much water time as possible. The place is certainly a bit dated, (that’s why it’s not 2000/night) but is clean and nice, definitely well cared for. Karl the property manager was great to communicate with and helped us out a lot.

The property had everything we could ask for- incredible location mere steps from the beach, spacious living space for the whole family, private pool and hot tub, comfortable beds and a beautiful landscape with a yard to play in. Carl is the perfect host and his scene to all the little details that make a vacation seamless and extraordinary. The house is charming, the landscaping is perfection. Aloha! What an amazing week in Kauai. This house was perfect. We had enough room to spread out and have some quiet time when needed. It's a few steps to a wonderful beach with sunrise and sunset sea turtles, some small and big boogie board waves the kids loved diving into! Fun bar at beach as well for an evening cocktail. House had everything we needed to cook and stay comfortable. Karl was very responsive. Even during the July 29 tsunami, Karl checked on us, let us know the house was actually high enough to stay but we had evacuated anyway. We had a nice tailgate party at Safeway with locals and visitors:)You won't be disappointed at this home! Normally I would choose a newer, modern home but loved this even more! Just made me feel the Aloha in Kauai!We will return. Mahalo Karl and family for sharing your home with ours!

Lovely home with a short walk to the beach

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at this home. The inside of the house is lovely and well appointed, as another person said it's even nicer than the pictures. The beds were comfortable and the pool was a great complement to the beach for our kids. It's a 2 minute walk to Brennecke Beach, where we spent time boogie boarding with sea turtles each day (really). The surrounding homes were quiet and the adjacent villas and tennis courts were almost unnoticed. Unlike some of the other reviewers, we did use the window a/c each day - it was sufficient when augmented by a fan to move air to the back bedrooms. We had one small issue which was promptly resolved by the owner, which is all one can ask. Highly recommended.

It’s better than the pictures!

This place was amazing! The pool area is an oasis! It is secluded and private yet close to the beach. The house is supplied with everything you need and then some. Plenty of tp, laundry soap, trash bags, etc. It also has an arrangement of seasonings and sunscreen, I’m assuming left from other guests. It has toys, movies, board games, beach chairs and toys, pool floaties, umbrellas, surf boards, etc. 2 of the bedrooms have their own access to the patio, which is nice because those 2 don’t have ac. The one bedroom with the ac is a smaller room but has an en suite. Then the main room has an AC that works great and cools the house down. The beach near by has turtles, great waves to boogie board in and a park to roam around. Puka dog and Brennecke’s restaurant are within walking distance. Easy to travel to many parts of the island from here. My family and I would defiantly stay here again and encourage you too as well!

Poipu Beach House

The house and the location are excellent. The house was clean and well stocked. The only drawback was that the pool and spa were cloudy and algae ridden when we arrived. We contacted the owner, who was on vacation in the continental US, and he had someone there to clean the pool and spa that day and follow up for two more days to make sure the cleanup and algae treatment were working. It did take two days before the pool and spa were ready. The hair dryer didn't work when we arrived. The owner had someone deliver a new one that day. The owner was very friendly and responsive when contacted. We would definitely stay there again.

Home base for the Family

We had a crew of 21 staying in various places in Poipu. Our house became home base, with folks coming and going as they needed. The location is amazing. Everyone had their own condos, but our place was in walking distance from all of them. Our teens could boogie board as they wanted and then come back for the pool/hot tub. Our early risers often took coffee to Brennecke's Beach or walked down to Shipwreck Beach to watch the sun rise. We hosted numerous potluck dinners at our place and there was plenty of space for folks to sit and eat. The grill and picnic table out back were perfect. There have been some updates since the photos were taken- the lanai and the back deck furniture. The bedrooms are kinda small and the carpet definitely needs to go (bring indoor flip flops), but we honestly didn't spend much time in the bedrooms. Our daughters took turns on the pull out couch and the side bedroom. Neither complained about the comfort of the pull out, so that's always a plus. Beds were comfortable and the house had a ton of throw blankets around for naps or just snuggling up. The living room/dining room combo was comfortable and spacious. We spent a lot of time on the lanai and side deck. The backyard pool, fire pit and hot tub were a gathering place as well. The hot tub had a timer, which I had never experienced. We just got in the habit of sending an advanced party to push the button and within one cycle the water would be hot again. The house has 2 AC units which work fabulously for those areas, but the cool air didn't reach the back 2 bedrooms. It was warm going to bed, but usually cooled off in the middle of the night. And we preferred the open windows to AC, so we never tried running the units all day to see if that helped the back bedrooms. The host was very responsive.

This home is one of the few 1920s-era plantation homes in Kauai. Its a beautiful home that has been completely restored while still maintaining its true Hawaii plantation feel, down to its original lava-rock footings. This is a treasure that we'll keep in our family forever.
