Bad experience - MOLD

We were disappointed with the place inside and out. When you walk in all you smell is mold. In the shower, the main bathroom toilet, outside by pool and hot tub all over the place, underneath chairs so bad we had to put towels down because we were afraid. The mold was so bad that I had breathing problems. When I got home I had to wash all the clothes and change the hoses, facemask filers and water tank in my CPAP because everything smelled like mold. When I made the reservation I said that I was taking my 89 yr old Mother with me. She couldn't get in the pool or hot tub because the steps were so, so steep. I had trouble myself getting out of the pool, I had to crawl up the steps of the pool because I was afraid and I am 58. We had to help each other get in and out of the hot tub because it was so steep. The screens over the pool have holes in it so there were a lot of flies and gnats We had to clean the pool everyday just to get in. There is at least an in thick of dust in the wall ledge's and plants by the ceiling. The inside needs to be painted. There was no fooseball table as advertised. We didn't receive the grill til the second day after 1 or 2 and we were planning on grilling our lunch that day. We didn't receive the pool umbrella for 3 days. My Mother couldn't even go outside. I hope this is not normal of your company. Whoever is in charge needs to fire their cleaning crew and pool person. What a sad experience to save for a family vacation, in which may be our last because she is 90. For it to be so horribly gone wrong. I have pictures if you would like to see them. Misleading

The property layout was a good size but cooking area is limited. Kitchen was well stocked, but had disgusting food debris caked on a number of cooking items. Furniture had been “ dusted” but there was old food here too. Pool area was cramped. We were initially pleased because it was staged well but soon discovered it was quite dirty. We had rented the property for 2 months and spent 2 days scrubbing the disgusting floor tiles. There are artificial plants above the kitchen cupboards that have so much dust they look like they’re growing Spanish Moss. The house is in dire need of paint. Mattresses on queen beds need replacement as does the living room couch and chair. The ping pong table in the garage is so warped it should be removed. The shower head in the ensuite sprays right out the door so we ended up finding an inexpensive hand- held which we purchased to replace it. The lock on the door from that ensuite to outdoors was broken so we replaced that as well. The traffic on I-4 is ridiculous Always, so to say you can access Disney in 15-30 min is completely false. It took almost 2 hours to get from Orlando one day just in congestion alone, never mind any accidents, which incidentally were quite frequent at the Citrus Ridge intersection going into the subdivision. I pity the local homeowners who live across the street( very nice people) and to the left that have to tolerate the constant partying in the property on the right. At one point there were 7 cars parked on the property plus blocking the street. The property owner seems more concerned about his $$$ only than to actually spend money on having it property cleaned and updated. I would Not recommend this property or even stay in Davenport again due to it’s difficult accessibility to good shopping or Disney activities

Wheelchair accessible Villa.

A Villa for wheelchair accessibility it’s ok. Maybe a bench in the shower would help. I had to put a poolside stool in to be able to shower. Not ideal but I managed. The Bug screen Around the pool area needs repairs as it lets bugs Mosquitoes and critters in the pool area. But for the faults it’s a fair. A roof over your head as you will probably spend days out and come back just to sleep before the next day out n about.

Have potential but need improvement

Starting with the good things, the place has potential, is accessible and has a good pool, however, need some work, painting, better cleaning and attention from the owner. The cleaning services is very poor and there was no extra supplies for the dish washer, trash bags, washer, nothing! we had to go to a store and buy those things. Had a problem with flies at the entry door and after some cleaning that we did, it got better. Walls need painting, urgent! 2 showers are okay but 1 of them can't be used without splashing water all over the place! Traffic on I4 to the parks is also bad.

Me and my fiancé loved it here. We relaxed enjoyed the pool and had a good time well worth it

Had such a good time at this home peace and quiet. Well worth it next time around will definitely will be coming back to this property.

Family Vacation

We came down to visit family with our 5 children. The house was great for all of us. The games were great for the older kids. (They are not in brand new condition, but I would not expect them to be.) Thank you for allowing us to enjoy the property.

Not worth the price

This house was big and beautiful but for what we paid, definitely not worth it at all!! He definitely hasn’t put any money into this house in a long time. The Dollar Tree was our best friend. He had no garbage bags, no hand soap or dish washing liquid. He ask that you put a load in before you leave but had no laundry detergent. All the games are broke, pool table and ping pong table are barely holding up. It says pool/spy before you book but that’s a complete lie. You have to pay for the jacuzzi to be heated. You to pay for someone to come out, then pay per day. Complete LOL moment. When I wrote the owner he said I’m more than welcome to swim in it cold... WOW! All of the sinks in the house are clogged so don’t run the water for too long or it’ll over flow and hot water last about 20min so who’s ever last showering will have to take a cold one. When we opened the blinds for the back where the pool is about 4 of them fell, look up and you can tell they were already broke. Instead of buying more blinds he just taped them. If you’re looking for a house to just sleep this is good but you can find better and cheaper for what he’s offering.

fairly clean but it had a musty smell

The house was fairly clean but it had a musty smell to it and felt damp. We paid for the pool to be heated but it was not heated until two days into our stay – ever though we contacted the property manager right away to let them know there was a power outage on the day we arrived. The sprinklers around the house ran not stop for 48 hours.

Dirty, old and worn, cheap beds etc. I am surprised and disappointed that VRBO/Home Away lists this

If you really want to know in detail I will send you a letter by email. At this point I have decided not to rent any more homes from VRBO/Home Away in the future. . Dirty air filter an ducts, health hazzard . Mold . Bad smell . Carpt stained and wrinkled . Floor tiles grout needs cleaning . White wall turning gray, needs painting . Mold in bathrooms we cleaned but need pro . Handicap bath had no sprayer hose . Master bath shower not accessable to turn on without flooding room . Other bath glass enclosure loose and dangerous . All appliances filthy , we washed them . Pots and pans had sticky residue . TV remotes need upgrade so it only takes one to operate . Vertical blinds broken, missing . Pool heating cost way too much Did not use pool . Embarresed to have friends and family visit here so we met at restuarants No zero rating or I would have selected it

Finally, an accessible villa! We loved it!

I have been looking for a villa like this for several years. We've made due with several other rentals, but this one actually has grab bars by the toilets, and a roll in shower if needed. I'm ok with the enclosed shower with grab bar that is in the other suite. The kids loved it, my in laws loved. It, definitely a home away from home! We will be renting again for our next vacation to Orlando!

Excellent choice!

This was a great place to stay. Rooms were clean, kitchen was well stocked (except trash bags), and neighborhood was great. We all had a great time and coming "home" to an actual home made it a whole lot better. I would recommend this place!!

Very clean room all good size

Had a great time at the villa there was plenty of room for my dad who is in a wheelchair the bathroom was also wheelchair friendly. swimming pool was clean and all the furniture out side was ideal . would recommend this property to anyone to stay in close to the I4 so easy access to all attractions. only thing is it says 3rd turn on left when is the 4th 3rd is vizcay way .

villa in orlando

Comfortable, roomy, clean. The villa was in a quiet residential area easy access to the Disney parks. The swimming pool was perfect for the children and the patio furniture very comfortable. Not a lot of kitchen equipment for preparing own meals, but we tended to eat out anyway so not a problem. We needed a repair which was carried out the same day we reported it. Would book this villa again.
