Luxury Lodge Niché dans le sanctuaire idyllique et préservé de l'étang du duc

Larchwood est un magnifique pavillon de luxe en cèdre surplombant l'historique Duke's Pond. Le lodge est situé à la lisière de la forêt de Greystoke, avec vue sur Blencathra et les Northern Fells du parc national de Lake District. Son emplacement unique et son exclusivité sont le refuge ultime pour s'évader. Le lodge dispose d'un grand espace clos avec des tables, des chaises, des chaises longues et des jardinières ainsi que trois jardins privés et un hangar pour ranger l'équipement extérieur. Les jardins sont une oasis pour observer la faune, fréquemment visitée par une grande variété d'oiseaux, d'écureuils roux et de chevreuils. Le lodge lui-même propose un hébergement de première classe pouvant accueillir jusqu'à six personnes avec une chambre double spacieuse avec salle de bains et télévision luxueuses, une chambre lits jumeaux confortable, une chambre avec lits superposés (lits adultes) avec des guirlandes lumineuses pour ravir les enfants et une salle de bains familiale spacieuse. Le salon est fini selon des spécifications élevées avec un canapé en cuir, des s et une grande cuisine entièrement équipée, salle à manger et salon favorisant une atmosphère de vacances merveilleusement sociale. Deux ensembles de portes françaises s'ouvrent sur la terrasse isolée, prolongeant l'espace de vie pour les barbecues, le divertissement et la détente. L'environnement dans et autour de l'étang de Dukes est un paradis pour la vie sauvage et cette année, nous avons vu une multitude d'espèces d'oiseaux, y compris le pic de bois tacheté, et une pléthore d'écureuils rouges pour vous divertir et cette année, nous avons des canards nicheurs, des musaraignes d'eau , tritons, grenouilles et crapauds. Le lodge offre une expérience de 365 jours de l'année avec chaque saison montrant les lacs à son meilleur.

Certainly the most well equipped property we have rented, the hosts have thought of everything you could possibly need. Great location for exploring the Northern lakes and surrounding areas. Easy parking for two cars. Very relaxing, the perfect stay.

amazing stay

we had a fab time at this brilliant property all you can think of is provided. my wife has trouble walking but found the lodge very acomidating .we found plenty to do games dvds and just sitting on the deck watching the wild life so relaxing cant waite to book again

Family holiday

We had an amazing stay at this lodge, lodge is beautiful, clean and quality of furniture and fittings were excellent for the price. Location is rural but lovely site, quiet and friendly and we loved venturing out to other parts of the Lake District. We would definitely go here again. Thank you for the lovely welcome

Stayed for 3 nights for a family get together. The place was perfect. Absolutely spotless, super location for what we wanted. Beautiful area, quiet park, comfortable and modern facilities in the lodge, lots of essentials provided in the lodge which was brilliant. We even saw red squirrels on the feeder. Ideal break.

Very clean and well presented lodge with everything you could want for your stay. Quiet location, but within easy reach of village pubs and the main A66 to go further afield. Enjoyed the local wildlife on your doorstep, especially the red squirrels who visited every day.

Excellent lodge

Lovely, spacious lodge with a homely feel. A lot of thought has gone into providing everything a guest could need, and everywhere was super clean. The children loved seeing the red squirrels every day and learning how to top up their food. We also had daily visits from the moorhen and her chicks.

Beautiful lodge: bright, clean and spacious

The lodge is in splendid shape: very clean, well kept up and very comfortable. It is in a delightful, quiet location where you can watch red squirrels and pheasants right out of your window. The large living room has plenty of space to stretch out, while the kitchen/dining area has a large table, and plenty of countertop space that has proved very convenient. The bedrooms are all very comfortably sized with lots of closet space. It was so pleasant to come back to such a beautiful house after long day of exploring the Lakes region. The communication with owners was superb: they were responsive, friendly and efficient.

We recently spent a week at the Larchwood Lodge as a family of 4 adults with our 2 Labradors, and it honestly could not have been a better experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with how welcoming, spotless, and beautifully presented the lodge was.The lodge itself is thoughtfully designed, spacious, and very comfortable. The open-plan living and dining area was ideal for relaxing together after a day out exploring the Lake District. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and the welcome pack that was provided was an excellent tough. Bedrooms were cosy, with plenty of space for unpacking and settling in, and the bathrooms were modern and pristine. It really felt like a home away from home, but with that extra touch of luxury.The location at Dukes Meadow is perfect – quiet and peaceful, surrounded by lovely scenery, yet only a short drive to some of the most beautiful walks and attractions in the Lake District. It was always a joy to come back to the comfort of the lodge afterwards.The hosts had clearly thought about everything guests might need – from the practical details to the little touches that made the stay feel extra special. It was obvious a lot of care goes into keeping the lodge at such a high standard.Larchwood Lodge is an outstanding place to stay with family, friends, or dogs. It’s peaceful, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring the area. We cannot wait to be back again next year.

Lovely stay at an idyllic lodge

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this lodge. It was brilliantly equipped with anything you might want or need during your stay. It was decorated and finished beautifully and the location was wonderful. The host was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with both during and prior to our visit. Would recommend :)

This property had everything you needed and more. I was the disabled one in the group and found it very manageable with my needs. Very clean and tidy and was very peaceful and quiet. Excellent base for exploring.

Simply Fantastic

Simply fantastic, thank you for a wonderful stay. Cannot recommend this place enough. The cabin has everything you need and the surrounding area is something else. We never got tired of watching the squirrels feed. The property was spotless and felt welcoming from the second you stepped into the place. It’s situated in an ideal spot to visit the Lakes to the south or Carlisle and Scotland to the North. The kids are desperate to go back and hopefully we will!

This was my 3rd time staying at this lodge once in Sept 20 another time in July 21 then this time Feb 22 And it is just lovely has everything you need and we just sat and watched the squirrels as it was raining the time we had but that didn’t ruin the fun of being there Will be booking again for the future

A very nice and cosy property.

Stayed here just before christmas. We had everything we needed! The kids Enjoyed watching the birds and the red squirrel that came to the porch everyday.

Excellent, the lodge was packed with everything you would need a proper home from home

We had the best few days break for my birthday at Larchwood, the lodge is amazing, it was even decorated for Christmas with a bottle of bubbly and chocolates when we arrived. We will definitely return, gorgeous views and plenty of walks for us and our sprocker Vince 🐶. We can’t thank Eric and Beatrice enough we hope you have a wonderful Christmas xx

Fantastic!

A beautiful lodge in a great location for the northern lakes. Lots of lovely little touches such as a welcome card and some food and drink, nuts for the red squirrels and little extras like games and dvds! The hosts catered for everything we required and were extremely helpful. Would fully recommend this place, it was amazing!
