The area has a lot to offer, such as Ullswater steamers, Aria force, Pooley Bridge. Penrith really is the gateway to the Northern Lakes. Just off junction 40 of the M6 if you're driving. The mainline railway station close to the town centre and a short walk from the house. The home was perfect for what we were looking for, which was just a home base to relax in and visit with family in the area. It has easy access to the rail station, grocery store, and downtown shopping and dining. The kitchen supplies were basic, but enough to put together some simple meals after a trip to the grocery store. The beds were very comfortable. There is a bit of traffic noise, but thatâs really only because we were there in August and needed to open windows. We would stay again if we are in the area.
