Great stay lovely place

Great place, red squirrels and woodpeckers on the feeder every day. Great location for Lake District. Very quite site, cabin we'll appointed and comfy. Will definitely be back soon.

Lovely lodge in a beautiful location

We spent a long weekend at the lodge, and we loved every minute there. It was spotless, with everything you need, comfy beds, and lovely views from the living room and terrace. The lodge is located far away from any main road, which is exactly what we wanted, quiet and fresh air. We would love to come back!

Amazing Lodge with everything

Fantastic place to stay, and easy to get to lots of locations. The Lodge was warm, clean, spacious, and with every single thing you could think of, plus more. (Blankets on chairs, binoculars by the birdfeeder window, biscuits in the jar, maps and wainwright books, its all the little things that give the best impression) Thanks to Colin for keeping in touch, and we loved it there.

Tranquil and relaxing

When we arrived the property was spotless and the keys easy to find. The location of the property with its big windows viewing the countryside was great. We had a really lovely, relaxing stay at Greystoke. We would recommend it to anybody looking for a slice of tranquility.

Lakeland Adventure

Stunning woodland retreat ideally situated to explore the Lakes. Our family of 4 adults and our dog was well catered for in the beautifully presented Lodge with ample room for us all. The open lounge area overlooked neadow land full of wildlife to include the resident red squirrels. Cannot wait to return again.

Short Stay in the Lakes

Great lodge, which was perfect for our stay. Communication with the management was superb. We wished to explore the northern lakes and this suited us. It was extremely quiet, no hustle and bustle. If anything a little bit remote but we were expecting that, as everything is a drive. Would happily recommend.

Idyllic!

Colin was a perfect host, with excellent communication. The lodge was ideal for our family of five with everything there that you could need for your stay. We enjoyed watching all the rabbits running around the lodge. Thank you for such a lovely holiday! The Holes.

Lovely stay

We had a lovely stay here. The cabin is quiet and spacious with everything you need and there are plenty of squirrels and rabbits running around on the grounds. The location is good. We love to stay somewhere quiet and then decide what touristy things to go and do - and there are plenty just a short journey away. Thanks for the many leaflets and folder of info on things to do. This was a great help. The neatest pub is in Greystoke just a 10 minute drive, serving lovely food. Overall a lovely holiday

A beautiful peaceful stay

This is a lovely quiet stay in a beautiful lodge with everything you need. This was a very peaceful location and great to get away from it all with the luxury of a log burner to keep you cosy on those colder nights. Communication with Colin was great and prompt and really helpful at all times. It’s great for local amenities only 10 mins away or 20mins into Penrith. There is lovely walk on the doorstep around Greystoke forest which would also be great for mountain biking. We would definitely come back and stay!! Thanks again

Amazing weekend break

There is nothing to not love about this property or its location! We have had a great family weekend here exploring the local area and relaxing in front of the log burner watching the wildlife from the amazing picture windows! The lodge is well kept and very clean with everything that you need provided to make your stay comfortable. The location is quiet so perfect for wildlife watching.. we had an up close visit from a red squirrel which was amazing! The walks and Penrith are close and easy to get to which is great for exploring or buying anything you may have forgotten! Cant rate this property enough and the communication from the owners was extremely helpful.. giving us updates on what was happening over the weekend we were there which was very useful! We would love to return and explore the area more. Wouldnt hesitate booking this lodge again!

Comfortable, scenic, and enjoyable stay

The lodge was easy to get to, in a very attractive and sublime area, comfortable and warm, and was clean and tidy for our arrival. Situated in a great location to see the main sites of the Lake District. All short drives away. Or you can take peaceful walks around the area. All in all, very comfortable and enjoyable.

Fantastic lodge

Lovely 3 night's break which was much needed, good weather, pleasant surroundings & wildlife, the lodge is very well equipped (thanks Colin) you can just arrive & enjoy yourselves like home, there are many lakes nearby, Ullswater is one our favourites, also the whole trip didn't break the bank.

Lakeland Adventure

Stunning Lodge cabin on the outskirts of Lakeland, an excellent base to investigate the area. The Lodge was spacious and spotless with everything you need for your stayover, log burner was amazing. We travelled with our family dog with walks on the door step in the local woodland. Cant wait to return.

5 star accomodation

The lodge is bright, airy, clean, very well equiped, stylish interior, comfy beds, lovely fireplace. The location of the lodge is great, quiet and peacefull, surrounded by nature. We had a really great holiday here and even the weather couldn't spoil it for us. Fantastic accomodation, we'll be back again.

Lovely getaway

Really enjoyed our stay here and Colin the owner was very helpful. Had everything you need in the property and it was lovely and clean and extremely cosy when the log burner going. Just what we needed to get away from the ratrace . We will return for sure. Many thanks
