This is a proper alpine ski chalet which works very well for a summer biking trip.
The house is very comfortable and spacious. The position is great for walking into les Gets , and for accessing the swimming lake and bike park. It made for a very successful holiday and I hope we can repeat the experience in the future.
Lovely chalet on quiet road and super convenient for Les Gets swimming lake. Property very much as expected from listing. Good communication with owner and one minor issue with Wi-Fi connection was very quickly resolved. Thanks.
We have stayed with the family 2 weeks in chalet Jolie brise in August. The chalet is perfectly located in Les Gets where everything is accessible by walk (lake, trails, city center, chair lift etc ). Catherine is an accommodation provider of the multi pass so we benefited of the discounted price for the all family for the duration of the stay! Catherine is very reactive in responding to anything you ask or require! We would love to come back
The Chalet is lovely and for us, who did not want to stay in the middle of Les Gets, it was great. Very quiet area and a short walk from the centre of Les Gets. Catherine responded very quickly to my initial enquiry and everything was sorted with the booking. The Chalet is exactly as described and we had a great time. Thank you.
We were 2 families with teens at half term. The chalet had everything we needed and was comfortable, well stocked and clean. We did ski in and out on occasions which was great too. Plenty of room for everyone to relax in the evenings and lots of space for drying ski gear. We would love to return! Thank you
Very well located and comfortable chalet for our 1st summer mountain holiday.
Lovely summer holiday in a great chalet. Very comfortable and clean, plenty of space and homely. Located just a 5 min walk from lac ecole which the kids loved and about the same to walk into town. Les gets is a great base for summer holidays with downhill mountain biking, lake swimming in nearby lakes, hill walking (nice to get the chairlifts up), via ferrata (safe rock climbing for beginners high on steep cliffs). Fireworks on the 1st night were really fun and the alta lumina was really impressive. Usually we go west coast France for beach and surf in the summer but the mountains made a nice change and we will definitely come back.
We had a wonderful stay in Les Gets, the chalet is perfectly placed for access to the swimming lake but also a pleasant 10mins walk into town. The chalet is fully equipped with everything needed for a family stay, we had great fun playing table tennis and relaxing in the sunny garden. Communication with Catherine was great and it was nice to meet you. Thank you.
The challet is as per the listing description and is well equipped. It is in a great location and only a short walk from the restaurants, shops and ski lifts. The owner was very friendly and helpful and managed our booking well. Would definitely recommend this challet and would love to go back again in either the summer or winter.
The children loved the inflatables in the local lake and the adventure park. We all enjoyed walking and using the ski lifts/gondola. Les gets is also a good base for visiting Chamonix, Geneva and Annecy.
Shame that bed linen and towels were not included with the rental (this was clearly stated in the details).
Chalet very easy to find and well positioned. Spotlessly clean on our arrival and vey well equipped. Spacious bedrooms and living area. Outside terrace and garden ideal for the children.
We loved the chalet and our stay in Les Gets. It is spacious, there is a lot of space in the sous sol for all your equipment and we also loved the living room with the two large banks and the kitchen with the oven to make fresh bread in the morning. There are two showers and two baths, so four bathrooms. It would be convenient if you could also shower in the bath standing up, but the two showers were sufficient for the eight of us.
The ski slopes are about 130m walk when there is not that much snow and when there is enough snow, it's only 10 meters. There is a huge supermarket in Taninges or a smaller supermarket in Les Gets, which is a lovely place.
We bought a ski pass for Portes du Soleil, but we could have bought a pass for Les Gets/Morzine. Since our kids had ski class just before lunch, there was never enough time to get to the left side that belongs to Portes du Soleil.
We had two parking tickets because aparently we parked illegal (although we still don't know how we should have known that parking was not allowed there), so we started using the parking garage.
The communication with the owner was quick and helpful.
Would definately recomment this chalet!
We stayed at Chalet Jolie Brise between 18-25th Feb 2017 and were a family of 9.
The chalet is located in an elevated quiet residential position and is ideal for skiing family's due it's close proximity to the slopes and free bus.
The chalet itself is well laid out and fully equipped for a self catering stay with plenty of space to dine and relax.
The bedrooms are all a good size and offer plenty of space with lots of storage.
We have stayed in Les Gets several times and this Chalet is amung the best we have stayed in, hopefully we will be back in 2018.
Beautiful well equipped chalet in perfect location
Had an amazing week's skiing with our family of 4 at La Jolie Brise in March 2016. The chalet was very comfortable and beautifully warm throughout. The log fire in the evenings made it very cosy. The chalet is very well appointed and as it is a private home too, has a much larger variety of cook wear and table wear than is usually found in rented chalets. Access to and from the slopes was very easy and was a real bonus to us all. We definitely would love to return to this 5 star chalet.
I purchased a plot and built the chalet as a second home for my family back in 1999 as being farmers winter holidays suit us all. The grandchildren started skiing from the age of 3 and are now all excellent skiers. They come with their own friends. It is ideal for non skiers in the winter with excellent walks and a village buzzing with activities. Great in the summer as it is near lake and bike park and very peaceful.
The chalet is in a cul de sac close to the village and the ski slopes. It is also very peaceful and ideal for children at any time of the year. 5 minutes walk to the lake In the summer you can walk across the meadows to the village or in season there is a free bus service 130 meters from the chalet. I chose this area because it always has lots of things you can do
I love to look out in the mornings and look over to the Mont Cheri and watch the sun and beautiful blue ski if it is going to be a good day. You can sit out at any time of the year in a sunny sheltered position. You can ski in and out in the winter and you are close to the lake in the summer
