Thank you for taking the time to review. It is disappointing that you have had these experiences. I have investigated with the service providers to get an understanding of what happened. They have an excellent track record as can be evidenced from previous reviews. They have advised that they did not receive any communication from you to confirm your arrival in Gran Alacant to arrange to meet. This is the reason they were not at the property when you arrived. I am sorry that there was a delay in getting access to the villa and understood from text message that cleaners said they would be finished by 3. I have spoken to the estate agent as this should not have happened. Instructions to sell the villa have been cancelled for some time. The security cameras outside are controlled by a switch inside the terrace. These are not operating while guests are present, only when the villa is vacant. With regard to the camera located in the living area - this is part of the alarm package can only be activated when the alarm is on and a presence is detected in the rooms. There is no question that this camera operates while anyone is in the villa. With regard to the availability of hot water, our services provider advised that there was a third full bottle of gas at the property. However, if this was not the case I am sorry that this happened. Guests are advised to contact the service provider or myself if they experience any issues. The pool / outside dining area has 2 parasols. One standard size and one large rectangular parasol. I know it was very hot while you were there and that there is no air-con in the lower level bedrooms, however we do ensure that there are ample fans available and that area of the house is much cooler than the main levels, I am really surprised at the comments regarding the pool and the suitability of the villa to groups of 6 or less. The entire property is over 200 square metres, has 5 bedrooms and a large outdoor area, We have had many groups of 10 over the years and these are not sentiments that have been previously expressed by any of our guests. We have had 40 reviews over the last number of years, many of them complimenting the pool. I am at a loss to understand the expectation. I did make contact with you on a number of occasions and while I was aware of the delay in accessing the villa I was not aware of anything else. I did message the Thursday (following your arrival the previous Monday) to see how you were settling in. I received a message thanking me for checking in and telling me that you had settled and were enjoying yourselves. I always encourage guests to contact our service providers or myself with any issues and indeed I did receive some messages on your arrival day (which is usual) which I promptly had addressed. I didn't receive any further messages advising of the gas, the cameras or the estate agent. Is is a shame you did not make contact with me to discuss these issues as I could have given you the help/assurance to allow you have a more enjoyable experience.
