Lovely 2 room apartment in great area, Porta Romana, which we used as a base for walking around Florence - Ponte Vecchio 10 mins away. Host Costanza was really helpful & at hand when needed. Recommend earplugs as apartment by main road. All in all, a great place to stay x
This apartment is very close to Florence and easy walking distances. The host was so friendly and gave is many tips for our time there. We will be back!
We had a wonderful 3 night stay in this charming apartment. Great location close to Pitti Palace with lively streetscape. Spotlessly clean with very accommodating hosts. Just minutes from neighborhood restaurant San Frediano La Bettolina.
Our apartment was bright, welcoming, and relaxing. I loved the tree lined street with a balcony that was far enough from the city center to not be so crowded, but bus stops, coffee shop, and a grocery store were nearby. Boboli Garden was beautiful! Thank you for a wonderful setting!
Appartment is very nice, elegant and comfortable. High ceilings, lots of little, everything newly renoveted! Perfect for a couple or little family. Seperate livingroom with kitchen and bedroom. Good closets to hang your clothes to, even dishwasher and washing machine are provided. The owner lives next door, communication was good and the appartment felt very safe. Only minus was that the street in front of the appartment was very noisy. Busstops to and from city are just in front of the building. There are nice local restaurants and bakeries near by, also Carrefour supermarket is quite near. Entrance to Boboligarden is very close and you can reach palazzo pitti easily by foot. We enjoyed to stay little out from busy old center. I can recommend this place!
Costanza and Alessio are wonderful hosts and always ready to help if anything is needed. They live in the neighboring unit. The apartment is beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. The location is fabulous. Lots of restaurants and bakeries nearby. There is also a grocery store within walking distance. Bus stops are across the street and the hop on hop off bus has a stop there as well. You are across the street from Porta Romana ( original gates to the city.) Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens are also very close. We walked almost everywhere- but there's a taxi stand within a 2 minute walk if needed. There are about 15 stairs to reach the apartment- but unless you have serious mobility issues - don't let this stop you - I have a mild mobility issue and managed just fine. Even then - inquire if there is an lift that I may not have been aware. This apartment and location are wonderful and not to be missed. We would definitely return.
My name is Alessio and I've been living in Florence since I was born. I live with my wife Costanza and with my two children, 8 and 6 years old. I'm an architect and I really love my city. I hope the people that come to visit Florence could develop the same passion for a place where the past is so full of history and where you can feel that the men who built it are still leaving among as.
We have been living in this area of Florence since our first son was born. One yer ago we bought a bigger house and we decided to rent a part of it. We love very much this area and we choose it because is a place where there still is some green but in the same time you can feel you are living in an ancient city.
