Beautiful cabin

We had a fantastic time at this cabin, the owners were extremely easy to get a hold of and quick to respond. The cabin is absolutely stunning. The beds are extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.!

Perfect getaway!

We absolutely loved it. Other than the main bedroom bed being broken, everything was great! It was super comfy, clean and relaxing. Would love to go back someday.

Weekend Get Away

The cabin was clean and very peaceful. We enjoyed the mornings, on the front porch having coffee. Jamie, was a great host answered all of our questions right away.

Nice, relaxing stay

We had a great time at the starlight. The cabin was very nice, relaxing, comfortable and cozy. A nice escape from big city life. It was clean with nice showers and jacuzzi. We took a family trip to the petting zoo 15 Mins away and a few other fun spots. We even saw deer family's cross in front of our cabin each night, and a few bunnies running around. I would definitely go back, perfect size for a small group or family gathering.

Starlight Cabin review

We enjoyed our stay at the Starlight Cabin so much! It was a beautiful cabin, quiet area, close to many activities and was perfect for our family. We will definitely be back and hope to make it a tradition. However, I believe the overgrown and unkept yard around the cabin contributed to all of our chigger bites.

Weekend get away

The cabin was very clean, and cozy. It had all the necessary cookware to stay in.It was a quick drive to Hochatown. Getting the cover off & on the hot tub was a bit of a chore. It is nestled in a spot on the deck that makes it a tight fit to maneuver around.The master bed was a bit firm.

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was clean, spacious and very well stocked with all the kitchen supplies you need. Also extra blankets. We were not able to use the hot tub or fire pit due, however, they looked very inviting. It was great to have the room to have our family together. I will say that the master bedroom bed sits very high. I needed to jump to get in. Keep that in mind if you are on the shorter side.

It was great, wish we could have stayed! Hot tub took forever to get hot and wish there was more seating outside. But it was great and not too far from town. The kitchen is very small tho so it was hard for cooking

Mid advertised amenities

The amenities listed mention dishwasher and there was none. Also the first night we were washing a load of clothes and the washer overflowed into the kitchen and we had to pull all the appliances out to get it cleaned up. I spoke with the manager and she told me to take our clothes to the laundromat for bundle service and send her the bill, so I appreciated that but we were there for a baseball tournament and didn’t have time for that!

Existing dog poop in backyard, no access to soap to wash towels as requested, smelly master bedroom sheets, creaky bed in master bedroom, water bottle under couch. Otherwise, okay.

Okay spot for the weekend

The property was very cute and in a good location. Check in was very easy. The cabin was a little dirty as there were muddy footprints on the floor when we checked in, balloons from a previous stay were under the bed in the master bedroom, and dried rose petals were found in the master bed. Hot tub felt slimy and took forever to heat up. Just didn’t seem like the place was cleaned very well. Both queen beds were very uncomfortable, and both were very squeaky. Besides that, it was a nice spot and, overall a nice cabin for a budget getaway with friends.

The key was not in the lockbox. Tried to get in touch with someone line busy all day. Some of my family gotten bitten by fleas. The bedrooms on the right side and the couch need to be checked. Thank you

Starlight cabin

Check in was good we paid 50 extra to check in 1 hours early . The email said we’d have toilet paper and 2 paper towels rolls which we didn’t have anything no toiletries like we usually do when we’ve stayed at other cabins. The sheets on master bed and one of the other bedrooms were dirty and stained. I text Chelsea but my phone signal was so low she text back at 10:30 pm that she was on her way with clean sheets... by that time we were already in bed and I had already washed both of the beds sheets and pillow cases because they smelled. I told her no worries it was late and I had already washed the sheets . The towels that were left were wet and had a bad smell to them as if they were washed and not dried all the way so I also had to wash the towels the face towels in the bathroom were dirty also (stained) looked like foundation. The coffee maker was extremely small so if you get this cabin take your coffee maker with you . The hot tub didn’t warm up until our 2nd day in so we were only able to use it one day unfortunately. I did see negative reviews about the cabin being clean but I gave the benefit of the doubt never expecting the sheets to be dirty . I hope if you rent this cabin you have a better experience .

Nice cabin but disappointing experience

The cabin is simple and nice, not too far from anything that you want to do in the area. It is set up well for a family stay and we had our family of 5 there for 3 nights. Our positive and negatives of our stay: POSITIVES - Beds are soft and comfortable. - Water pressure was strong in the showers. - Hot tub. - Books, movies, and games to use in the cabin. - Couch is very comfortable. NEGATIVES - Communication with the manager was puzzling. I emailed her 3 days prior to our arrival to request firewood (per instructions sent to us). Never got a reply. No firewood. After our trip, I tried several times to communicate with her about the conditions of the cabin, one reply initially, then got ghosted. I followed up a day later, still nothing. Strange. - Not Clean: 1) when we arrived and unloaded, my wife found a pair of underwear and shorts full of poop under one of the beds. You read that correctly, poopie undies under the bed! 2) Several of the beds were caked with dog hair in the sheets. 3) The coffee pot was literally brown. I scrubbed it for 10 minutes to get it clean. It obviously hadn't been washed in a very long time. 4) We found spiders in many locations, including one of the beds. 5) The hot tub smelled and I am sure that it had no chemicals in it. Lights - we noticed that the bathroom lights didn't work and several other areas were very dark. I found 6 light bulbs that were out. No problem, I'll just change them, but no bulbs to be found anywhere. So I bought 2 packages and changed them out. - No TP. The email said we would have a "starter supply" of needed items of 2 rolls of toilet paper 1 roll of paper towels, trash bags, and dish soap. The only thing that was actually there was dish soap. No toilet paper to start off was an issue after a long drive. OVERALL, I really didn't want to write a negative review. I didn't mind changing out light bulbs and the firewood wasn't a big deal but in the end, the overall dirtiness of the cabin (poopie underwear?! How do you not smell & see that?!) and lack of communication with the manager left us frustrated and disappointed. In fact, we left the cabin cleaner then when we arrived and we left a day early. I am happy that others have had pleasant stays here but we will not return.

Motorcycle trip base camp

The property is nice and the hot tub worked well. It is asphalt all the way to the driveway which was good for riding motorcycles to. Nice fire pit and grill in the backyard. Very quiet area especially during the week. The cabin is basic but very nice on the inside with all walls and roofing covered in tongue and groove wood. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Highly recommend.

Great long weekend

We came for a long weekend over thanksgiving and really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and neat and our boys really loved the fire pit.
