Great family vacation home.

Property is clean and five minutes walk from the beach. Kitchen has everything you need to cook some good meals. We enjoyed our stay.

Holiday Getaway

We had a good time during our stay. The place was big enough for 4 people and the place was clean. The storm door’s knob came off when we tried to pull the door from the inside coz it doesn’t fully closed. That might need to be fixed to keep away bugs from coming in. We wanted to use the oven, but it seems that it needs special attention. Overall, we like the place coz it’s only a walking distance to the beach.

Condo in Kill Devil Hills

The condo was cute and clean.. It was located in a good area. The parking was not convenient and didn’t always have adequate spaces. The outside stairs need to be replaced along with the majority of condos there, due to dry rot from the salt air. One of the steps came completely off but the owner was very quick to respond and it was fixed the same day. Overall it was a good experience.

Nice place

Place is beautiful, walking distance to the beach and perfect for a family of four. It’s close to restaurants. We had the best time at the beach and this beautiful house accommodated us comfortably. Communication with the owner was good and response time was almost immediate.

Perfect for a long weekend getaway

This place was great! Just 3 blocks from the public beach access. Well stocked kitchen and close to plenty of stores and restaurants. We appreciated the host taking extra cleaning precautions. The place was spotless! Highly recommend.

Overall pretty good

Overall happy with our stay, cute decor and good size for our family of 4. Does need some minor cosmetic fixes. Short walk to beach or drive to public beach access parking lot. Wish they had washer and dryer but otherwise had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay/vacation.

Quaint retreat

We enjoyed our stay here. I liked that it was an end unit. The neighborhood was quiet. It was simply decorated and very clean. Plenty of towels and washclothes. There was a hose outside to rinse your feet after coming back from the beach. They provided beach towels as well, however, we brought our own. It is an easy walk to public beach access, Dare Devil Pizza and Bonzer Shack. My husband and teens would stay here again.

Quick Beach Trip

The reviews of the property were mixed so I admit I was nervous but there was no reason to be! People are very critical. This listing is Fantastic!! Host was great to communicate with and responded quickly! Property was clean and perfect for our two night stay - I wished I booked it for a longer stay!! The distance to the beach could not be beat! Only thing we wished it had was a small washer/dryer; but you can’t have it all.

Cute, comfortable spot close to beach and so many amenities

I just stayed here with my spouse and two children. We had a great time and it was one of the nicer VRBOs we have stayed in. I think some of the prior ratings were hypercritical - the house was clean, a five minute walk to the beach, near so many restaurants and things to do. Clean towels folded at the end of each bed. The tub does have a soft spot (did not think much of it) but was clean and had great water pressure. Do bring all of your own condiments including salt/pepper/non-stick spray.

Just what we needed

There is definitely something to be said about location and convenience. Not only did the condo meet both, it was also beautifully updated. The owners obviously spent time ensuring the condo was pleasing to the eye and soul. You can grab beach towels and chairs and walk to the beach in a few minutes. Also within walking distance are many restaurants and a pharmacy. The owners were very accommodating and helped to ensure our first trip to the Outer Banks was all we had hoped for. Highly recommend!!

June 2021 Stay

We enjoyed our stay here. Really good location. The bikes that were provided was a nice amenity, we used them a lot. I wish it was a little bigger. The futon couch and recliner wasn’t enough seating for five people, so we had to use a dining chair. The owner was great at trying to get the cable company to come fix the internet. They also quickly got us a clean set of sheets (a previous renter folded up and put back dirty linens so the cleaner didn’t think they were used). Overall I would still recommend staying here.

Cute but a few small changes would make a big difference. The lock on the garage door was extremely difficult to open. Ceiling fans worked but lights did not. The sofa bed that is advertised is actually a futon and when it is laid flat, there is a huge gap in between the cushions. Also an extra blanket for the futon would be great. Location was good and we enjoyed the overall stay.

Good location…

The condo was quaint and cozy. It had most everything we needed and was just a 2 block walk to the beach. There were lots of places to eat right around where we were staying. If you wish, you could literally park and walk everywhere, but we did a lot of exploring and adventures in the area so we did do some driving. Having the bikes were also great for exploring the area and having the beach chairs to take to the beach were also a plus. Some things that could use improvement would be more blankets, and new pillows. Pillows were flat and uncomfortable. It would be nice to have a few extra pillows as well instead of just the four that were there. In one of the bedrooms upstairs, there were sugar ants crawling around on the walls, and we had no idea where they were coming from. If those things could be fixed, the place would be perfect.

Great location, easy walk to the beach. The parking was good with four spots in front and ample parking in the back. I really wanted to like this property, it's very basic and did lack some things we needed in the kitchen. The master bedroom mattress was very hard. I opted to sleep on the futon, which you'll fall into the crack in you do. The "outdoor shower" consisted of a garden hose with a broken spigot. There was a better option at the beach, not worth making a fuss about. Lastly, the upstairs bathroom is in need of a sink and tub update. The bathtub literally had mildew around the caulk and judging from the looks of it, it's not going anywhere. That in and of itself was extremely off putting to us. The master bedroom door had a hole in it as if someone had punched it. Given all of these things together, I wouldn't stay again. I've been to multiple rental properties which set the bar high and this home just did not do it for us. The location was great though but the place needs improvement.

I really wanted to like this property. At first appearance it looked amazing. But once we got settled we realized that it needs a deep clean and maintenance. The light in the second bedroom ceiling fan is still broken even though someone commented about it almost 3 years ago. The upstairs is very warm to sleep. So I switched the ceiling fan to blow down and the amount of dust that came off of the fan made it look like it was snowing in the room. There is a big hole in the master bedroom door. The outside furniture is not useable since it is metal and rusted. One of the bike tires is flat again even though that has also been complained about. Burnt out light bulbs in the upstairs bathroom I know it happens — please leave extra in the condo. The tub has mold around the inside and no cocking on the floor. It literally feels rotten underneath it when you are taking a luke warm shower. My 16 year old even commented that he hoped I didn’t fall through the ceiling when I was taking a shower. But the most disappointing item were the dead cockroaches in the kitchen cabinets. One being in the silverware drawer. We did not contact the owners when we were there…. That’s something I feel shouldn’t need to happen while I’m renting their place. They just need to take the time to give the town home a deep cleaning and replace the items that need attention. It was a super cute area and a great location. But I would not stay in this townhome again.

Great Location

The beach was a short walk away which we loved! We could walk so many places from here with the central location to many restaurants, coffee shops and stores. Place was clean, nice and convenient for our stay.
