Gray stay for myself and my two children. Definitely would return! Excellent condo in a great area. Nothing but positive things to say. Hope to get to return soon.
If this property needs immediate repair the owner will not complete them
The outdated 1970s decor was not an issue with us as we were in town for baseball and did not plan on spending much time at the property. However, on our first day, the unit experienced a leak from an upper unit that required immediate repairs. The owner was immediately notified; the leak was repaired they were supposed to return and clean the bathroom from the leaking sewage and repair the ceiling. Repairs were not completed; the owner neglected to even contact or check back in. We could not use that bathroom for the remainder of our stay due to the lack of repairs. We cleaned the sewage up ourselves which should never happen. I understand the owner has no control over a leak, but they do have control over assuring all repairs were made and at least check back in with their guest. Again, we can handle the outdated decor, but moldy ceiling tiles and missing ceiling tiles with exposed sewage pipes are not and should have been corrected. This property has busted bedroom doors and horrible mattresses, which are somewhat tolerable but moldy ceilings from upper unit sewage are not something anyone can tolerate.
We had a wonderful time despite the weather! Stayed in #203. The view was great. Easy to access parking, beach and pool without using the elevator. Unit was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Owner was friendly and replied promptly.
Unit was not very clean. It had multiple ceiling tiles with water rings. Room smells of cigarettes. Cigarette butts left on balcony. Floors not very clean. The unit felt damp at all times. Now with all this being said I did speak with owner multiple times and communicated with him several times through text⊠he was very helpful by sending cleaning personnel to clean and try to make it smell better. He is working hard to make it better.
We really enjoyed our stay!! I was nervous with the past reviews but the condo was immaculate when we arrived. Check in process could not have been easier, much easier than checking in with the office. The view was great, on the second floor so you don't have to wait for the elevator. The Master bed was super comfy (if you like soft beds). My daughter did not have an issue with the pull out sofa. I wish there was a big pot to boil water, but really that's it. If you're expecting a luxury condo, then pay luxury prices and book a different condo. This was affordable, great safe complex. My husband's family has been coming to the Pelican for over 25 years.. This owner is much more flexible with cancellation policies, booking with the Pelican you can NOT get your deposit back.. Again we had a great time, thank you!
Cute and clean!!! Excellent view and so close to the beach! Beautiful property. Well stocked with dishes, blender, toaster, coffee pot, microwave, etc. thank goodness there were coffee filters because I forgot to bring mine. The pullout was not comfortable but letâs be honest here, what pullout ever is LOL. We put the sofa cushions under the mattress and it did the trick. There Will 100% be a visit in the future. We arrived late at night at 9:30ish after we had driven 8 1/2 hours. It was hard to find the building because it didnât say PELICAN REEF. Place looked NOTHING like pictures. (See mine) When we entered the place, the smell of urine was overwhelming. Doors and walls were dirty. Floor was caked with dirt. There was hair on counters , sinks and toilets and fridge đ€ą. Dead bugs beside the fridge. I sent a message and finally just called owner/manager. He said he would have cleaning people out next day. We had no option but to sleep there. Thankfully I brought my own pillows. We were up by 7am. It looked worse In The light of day. Holes in walls were towel racks had been pulled from wall, shower tiles faint from ceiling. We requested a refund (That was 7/13 still waiting) and weâre out of the place by 9am. I would STRONGLY suggest you not rent this location. Feel free to request pictures for validation. I canât seem to post them here...
I was disappointed in this property. It is outdated and felt dirtyâmore so than the picture suggests. Washer and dryer are TINY and they did not provide detergent. The shower doesnât drain unless you manually hold the plug up and even then it wasnât draining. I reached out to owner and he told me to go out and buy draino. He did say he would reimburse, but it took an extra trip to the store and wasnât the way I wanted to spend my vacation. Dishes were sparse and sometimes still had food on them. No salt/pepper or food of any kind (maybe because of covid). I felt like I had to clean everything before I used it. I donât think the kitchen gets checked in between stays besides the surface stuff. King sized bed was nice. Owner was prompt to respond which is a plus, but he lives hours away so donât expect him to be available if the need arises. Really the only good thing about this place is the location and viewâget what you pay for I guess. I would not stay here again.
Cozy condo with one of the best views. Conveniently located on the 2nd floor. We loved being at a place where we didnât spend our vacation waiting on elevators. Convenient to lots of restaurants with a Waffle House across the street.
The pillows was nasty, the wash cloth was so thin and ruff that it felt like sand paper. The bed needs new linens each time. This is something that needs to keep updated. The unit was very nice other then this

Wish you were able to put name of condo in initial description, because it is not Gulf Lagoon Beach. Much easier to recognize Pelican Walk as the place Iâve stayed before.
