There was lots of room for our large family gathering, including plenty of bed options. I wasn't sure exactly how we were going to divide up, so the owner had all the beds prepared, with the understanding that we wouldn't disturb the ones that went unused. It gave us good flexibility. The kitchen is very large with plenty of everything you need for meal prep. Tons of dishes. Two ovens. There were multiple large couches in the living room with a large screen TV. Ample room to relax. Those who enjoy a sauna enjoyed the sauna. The dishwasher was coming loose and tipping out when it was loaded. When I notified the owner they were going to send a repair person immediately -- which I appreciated. In our case, we were able to work with it as it was and then let them make the repair when we had left.In multiple areas the home could use some TLC - thus my 4-star overall rating. The owners were quite nice and very much wanted us to have a good time there.
Kind, communicative hosts, and a unique, spacious home
First, this property has a lot of character. Not only is it in the beautiful forest land east of Portland, but the house itself is wild! Very large, many beds and bedrooms, and every room has its own character. It can host large groups very comfortably. The hot tub works great, there's even a pool table in the lower level. The host was fantastic, and extremely kind, and well communicated. When an issue arose that was completely outside of everyone's control, they were responsive, helpful, and very understanding in their helping us! I can't thank them enough for a wonderful stay.We stayed here for our family gathering after my wedding, and it did not disappoint. Thank you hosts for such a lovely stay in your beautiful space!
Large space great for big groups going up the Mountain!
Great space for big groups! Plenty of space for everybody, fun things for folks to do, and excellent areas for group activites. From hanging out on the giant sectional couch as a group to doing a pizza making group dinner... this place is great for groups! The house does seem to be in the middle of some repairs and remodeling at this time, but it doesn't affect your group stay.
Our stay went well and any issues that came up were able to be resolved with the hosts quickly since they were always able to be reached by text or phone call.
The home is very roomy, everyone had plenty of space. Our hosts were very kind and easy to communicate with. And the sauna was a fantastic addition. Overall it was an absolute pleasure!
This property looks so opulent, and the entry is, but the jetted tub, sauna, big well stocked kitchen, the many areas to separate to and the four separate bedrooms made it wonderful for our large family group. Those areas arenât as luxurious, but clean and with comfortable beds. The owners were very good communicators and responded right away to any concerns we had.
Owner met us at the property and showed us how everything worked at the house and then we stayed for 3 nights it was an amazing place the sauna was incredible. Place was clean and great area to reach everything you want to do.
We brought our kids and grandkids to Mt Hood to try snowboarding for the first time after Christmas. There are 15 of us so finding a place large enough, nice enough, and available for just 2 nights was a challenge. Exec in Foothills came through for us and we had a blast! The home is large, well appointed, very comfortable. There was plenty of parking for our 5 rigs. Our hosts were a most gracious and welcoming family, they made all of us feel comfortable right away.
We had a nice stay over the Christmas holiday. The home is very spacious with lots of amenities (hot tub, sauna, wood fireplace, etc.) Communication was very easy and the owners were very responsive.
Meeting the owners at the house and talking with them seemed it was to be a good stay for our annual family get together, but that was far from the expectation. The house was extremely dusty and dirty in areas not able to see on a walk through. We didn't have hot water first morning for showers upon calling the owners was told to hit a relay switch on the hot water heater as it does this sometimes. No its all the time and needs repaired we had to reset it numerous times anytime we needed hot water. The place where the hot water heater is located is disgusting. The heating and air unit is located there as well and looking at it the filters haven't been changed in a long time in fact they were collapsed and hardly working. There were mice and rat traps that had dead ones in them. We all ended up sick with respiratory issues. House at one time was nice, but it is no longer. It needs a lot to make it nice again. Not recommending this to anybody. Very disappointing for the amount of money paid.
Well it was nice but too expensive.
I tried to cancel part of reservation and
Owner made me negotiate to have only some days of my stay canceled. I was surprised by this
required negation instead of cancelation.
It was a great place to stay w/ plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax after skiing. And the welcome sheep was EPIC.
The host were also very helpful and responsive.
We planned a weekend with family members from four different households, staying together and enjoying winter activities on the mountain, and this place was absolutely perfect for the group. The little kids called it the âmansion.â Plus the host was very welcoming and accommodating.
Let us start with the good things about the house. There were plenty of towels, the sauna worked. Thatâs it.
The Jacuzzi was disgustingly dirty, you couldnât see the bottom. We didnât use it because it was so dirty. Decided to fill up the indoor jacuzzi tub for the kids at least to have a little fun. The water coming out from jets was brown. Didnât use that. The heating in the house didnât heat the house evenly. The house is very dirty. Iâm not talking about dirt in the corners Iâm talking about the dust on the ceilings and the windowsills and the molding. The house is old with chipping paint, old pipes, old vents, cracked molding everywhere. Old furniture. Thereâs a lot of repairs that need to be done. Half of the outlets we tried didnât work. The entire group of people who stay in the house develops allergy like symptoms, runny eyes, itchy nose, sneezing. I have a suspicion there is mold in the house. The little children in our party would wake up with puffy eyes and swollen faces. The family with the youngest baby in the group had to leave a day early to take their child to urgent care to treat the allergies their child developed from this house. The kitchen was fine. The dryer was broken and needed pliers to turn on every time. I can go on and on. Would never rent this house again.
Beautiful views from bedrooms, living room, and kitchen, and nice big common areas (kitchen, dining room, living room) ideal for sharing meals and conversations.
WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY. THE HOSTS WERE VERY FRIENDLY, TOOK THE TME TO MEET US AND WALK THROUGH THE HOUSE WITH US. THEY MADE IT VERY CLEAR TO REACH OUT TO THEM IF WE HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR ISSUES.
THE HOUSE WAS VERY SPACIOUS AND PROVIDED MANY AMENITIES. THEY INCLUDED A HOT TUB, POOL TABLE AND SAUNA. EVERYTHING WORKED. THE HOME IS IDEAL FOR LARGE PARTIES. I HIGHLY REOCMM,END STAYING AT THIS HOME.
The home was so nice and secluded with tons of space. There were a few dings here and there from previous guests, but nothing major of note that took away from the experience and the hosts made sure to point them out which I found very respectable. Would definitely come back for another visit!
First off, the owner is amazing at responding quickly to texts and answering questions. The house is huge with lots of room to spread out. It is located about 15 minutes from Ski bowl and all its activities. There is also a Thriftway very close by and we enjoyed the local pizza place as well. The kitchen is equipped very well with lots of dishes, pots, pans, and anything else you might need. The house does show some wear and tear and would probably benefit from some updates, but overall it is very comfortable and you can tell the owners put a lot of themselves into it.
Our family, friends and kids stayed at this house for few days. Everyone had lots of fun. Owner of the house were kind enough to drive to the property and gave us a walk-through. House has plenty of space, generous sized bedrooms and bathrooms, adequately equipped kitchen. For Cons- most of the doors need to be repaired, But overall, our stay was memorable.
Great time at this property. Check in was super easy. Owner provided us snacks. Property had tons of room. We had nine in our party and easily could accommodate more without feeling crowded. Great amenities. Would stay again. Wished we had more time to stay longer. Thanks!
Overall, our family enjoyed the long weekend at the house. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was a good size for cooking for a large group. The only downside is that the house seemed in need of some repairs. There were pocket doors that only adults could close because of how sticky they were, some doorknobs that were extremely loose, and some fairly large stains on the carpets. I don't regret bringing my extended family here, but it could use some TLC.
Pros- generous sized rooms and bathrooms
Amenities like jacuzzi tub, hot tub and sauna
Huge, well equipped kitchen (double ovens)
Lots of comfortable seating
Plenty of hot water
Beautiful, relaxing view out front window-wall
Easy check-in and access
Great proximity to Mt. Hood activities
Cons-Quirky! Parts of house including glass door downstairs not shutting all the way
Pool table was old and patched
The âextra guest feeâ was considerable, and we expected more of a âresort â experience
For a large group ok with sleeper sofas and bunk beds, this would be a decent value. The 3 teenagers shared one large room downstairs with 3 queen beds.
