River Dance Retreat - Meredith Lodging

River Dance Retreat in Welches is the family-favorite lodge at Mt Hood that you will want to return to for summer and winter vacations. Your kids will love the big back yard with the sandy beach along the river and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit at night. Your dogs will enjoy this mountain cabin, too, with all the room to play outside and the comfortable living space inside.

If you have a crew of cooks in your circle of friends, you will all have plenty of room in this spacious, updated kitchen for preparing fun and flavorful meals. The eat-in kitchen is perfect for passing dishes from the cooktop to the table. Or grill out on the gas BBQ on the large back deck and enjoy dinner at the picnic table by the river.

You can relax in the vaulted great room with picture windows bringing in natural sunlight and Sandy River views or hang out in the TV room watching your favorite movies and sports events.

The River Dance Retreat will comfortably accommodate 10 guests in 3 bedrooms plus the loft (1 king, 3 queens, 2 twins). There are 2 full bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs across from a queen bedroom. The primary bedroom suite upstairs includes a king bed and the 3rd bedroom upstairs has 2 queen beds. The 2 twin beds are in the loft.

The private, outdoor hot tub with the covered gazebo at the River Dance Retreat is the perfect place to relax after a day of biking, hiking, golfing, fishing, skiing or snowboarding at Mt Hood.

Great property! The layout of the house worked very well for us (2 families with kids upstairs, grandparents slept downstairs). Access to the Sandy river was amazing, though the river was moving too quickly to safely play in it. Would stay again!

Holiday Get Away

Wonderful house & location. We had 6 of our adult children for the majority of our stay. Some skied, some hiked and we all enjoyed the house and surrounding businesses!

Enjotlyed nature to its fullest

We enjoyed all that the propety had to offer. Sitting by the river each morning enjoying our coffee and watching nature was so relaxing and a great strat to each day. The house fit all out needs and gave up plantly of room to streatch out after a day or exploring the area surrounding MT Hood.

Rustic Experience

We had a great time staying at this home. When we arrived, we found the kitchen cabinet door below the sink broken and hanging on hinges and mouse feces on bakeware and in a drawer. We let the property managers know, and it sounded like they were going to address it after we left. I think it would be a great place to stay in the summertime.

We had a great time with a group of friends! The path to the river was nice and easy. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was nice. Everything was great for our group. Except, the house needs some serious upkeep. There were cobwebs and dust on so many things and in the window sills. The main table outside is need of repair as well. The gutters were stuffed full looking like theyve never been cleaned. I wouldnt bring grandma or Mom on a trip with you, but its great for friends and being rustic. We did have a wonderful time as our group didnt care as much, but keep this in mind if youre thinking its going to be perfect, its not.

I liked the fireplace and how much room there was. The beds were super comfortable. What I didn't like was the fact it took 2.5 hours to get into the cabin, not many curtains on windows for privacy, also the Hot tub was really dirty. Even after adding the cleaner to it. :( It was murky, with stuff floating around and gritty stuff on the bottom of the hot tub.

Get away

Unfortunately there was a family of mice living, literally under the stairs. The dishes were dirty so we had to wash them before we could use them. The cupboard door in the upstairs bathroom was broke. We tried to fix it but it kept falling and hit me in the shoulder several times. A few other things. It was a great location though and the hot tub was nice.

Visit with Grandma

The property location was beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. Pristine forests, and a gorgeous river. Our elderly grandma was visiting, so having a the room on the first floor was perfect. The house was well maintained, with recent updates. Clean beds, showers, plenty of towels, clean hot tub, Etc. The only dirty part was the carpets in the den need a good cleaning. The loft room with the two twin beds is very exposed, sitting right at the living room area and leads to the hallway with the other rooms. Maybe suitable for a children and heavy sleepers, but otherwise not an ideal place for sleeping. The double Queen room is surprisingly large and comfy for four grown adults. The king master suite is incredibly gorgeous and luxurious with doors leading to a porch area. Kitchen is well stocked and large enough for a big family. Very enjoyable experience.
